hi guys!
I just got new Dasaita unit , and i have following issue:
once i use google maps, i can use voice assistant to make a call. It found the number, and tells "Dialing Diana mobile on speaker phone", and nothing happens. The phone, which connected via bluetooth doesn't make any call. May be someone had this issue?
Thank you

I can use the talk button to answer incoming calls on headset. Anybody knows a way to use that button for voice calling etc?
Hello
Just been browsing and I notice you have asked the same question as me, I did not notice it before as I searched for handsfree.
Anyway, what model do you have? I am SPV M600, I only noticed this problem today as I have just installed MP3's onto my SD card. While I had the headphones on I tried handsfree and noticed I could not activate voice dial with the button although I could answer and close calls.
On all of my old phones, I just pressed the button, it activated voice dial and I called the number, but not this phone.
I have set up voice dial on the phone, voice tagged contacts, and it is working great, none are failing to be recognised.
Have you managed to sort out the problem yet?
I called my phone supplier they could not help as they do not have a technical dept, and Orange just wont answer the phone, customer service is dreadful lately.
Dodgy headset ??
I got my SPV M600 today and headset works fine, and the use headset selection under phone settings is greyed out as well
Sorry I replied to the wrong thread. I dont know how to get the voice dial on the headset.

Hi Spenner.
When you say your headset works, does it activate the voice dial software when the silver button is pressed or does it just answer and close calls?
Voice Dial
I think it can be solved with a registry modification. Unfortunately I cannot solve the problem myself. I tried all the properities bu I couldnt find any related one.
My phone is O2 XDA and just like you I only can answer and hang up calls by headset button.
i was asking about how to change behaviour of this button, hovewer nobydy knows
I would like to push it 1,2,3 times or push & hold and assign different actions for different pushes
it all used to work beautifully on my Orange M600. Then I upgraded to the Dopod ROm and the voice speed dialler i gone.
Bloody annoying! Can't work out how to get it back...
dear all,
I have a small question..or, better, a request...do you know if exist a program that tell you the name of the contact that is calling you?...
I think it would be very usefull when I am in the car (with the bluetooth kit) and I received a call to know the caller without looking at the mobile screen...
thanks in advance
any helps?
Try Microsoft Voice command, you have an option to hear the name of the caller.
I got the Epic 4G on the 31st, but out of the box I can't seem to get voice dial or voice search working. I'll click on voice dial and it will say "listening" but it doesn't really hear anything. Eventually, it just times out and says "try again". The same goes for voice search. It prompts me with "Speak now" but eventually times out and says "No Speech Heard". It's as if the mic isn't working. But I don't think there's anything wrong with the mic because I can have phone conversations without any problems. So, I don't think it's a hardware problem. It seems like this is some kind of bug in the software. I don't see any settings for these apps that I can modify. Anyone else having the same problem? Any suggestions for fixing?
Nevermind
I seem to have figured out the problem. If I turn off my bluetooth headset, the voice search and voice dial work. Apparently, it cuts off the mic on the phone when a headset is paired. I'm a little disappointed because Voice Command on my windows mobile devices didn't have this problem. If I initiated voice command on the phone, the mic on the phone would still work. If I initiated voice command from my headset, it enabled the mic on the headset.
I see no options in Android to initiate voice search or voice dial from the headset. Since I normally have a headset paired at all times, I guess I can't use these apps. Bummer.
Coming from winmo, I have to say that the only thing I miss and the only thing that winmo did better than android is voice dial. Android voice dial, even in froyo and even with Vlingo does not give you a true hands free experience because you cannot initiate it without launching the program from the screen, and it will not confirm by voice -- you have to confirm with a screen press or cross your fingers and let it autodial. Very disappointing.
Disoppointed with voice recording/dialing.
I sure was hoping that 2.2 would fix the voice dialing also. This may make me take the phone back before the 30 days are up. The voice MEMO is also a problem. Go to notes and try to do a voice memo...it's hit or miss and when you do see the mic recording, it will only record for a few seconds and then a screen comes up that says it cannot connect to the server. What's up with that. Very disappointed with the voice recording/dialing features of this phone.
Greeting everyone, I hope that anyone can help me.
I'm from México have a Treo Pro, I recently bought an iLuv i222 bluetooth headset. I can listen to music just fine and the controls for it work perfectly. I can answer calls and dial the last number with the headset call button. The problem is that when I press it for 2 seconds in order to use the voice dialing nothing happens on my phone. I installed the speed dialing program as it didn't have one. If I activate it from the phone it works but when I try using it with the BT headset nothing happens, I only hear a beep but the voice dialing screen doesn't appear on my phone. I hope that anyone can help me.
what you need to do is enable voice command. i have wm 6.5, so i goto settings personal, voice command. i dont know what version you have, but if you look around in the settings menu it should be there.
cheers
Thanks for replying. The problem is that aparently the Mexico version of the Treo Pro doesn't come with Ms Vocie command. Do you know if there is any ROM of it?
Hi All,
I have a Pumpkin branded Android 8.0 head unit. AE0273B according to the website.
I have my phone set to connect via bluetooth and the hands free works fine, only problem is no voice dialling. I have enabled 'OK Google' which works but it will not make a call, I assume because it is trying to make the call using the head unit not the phone. Is there a way to enable voice dial for a bluetooth connected phone?
Thanks,
Chris
Bump.
Not possible through head unit.. use google assistant on phone for making calls
