September Update? - Galaxy A3, A5, A7, A8, A9 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

Is the August update ok for a520w/a520f? Or did Samsung lock the phone down even more? Whose the Guinea pig?

I'm just meaning is it locked down for flashing, bad battery, etc.

Firmware update from samfirmware

This morning @samfirmware announced a release for the 7510 tab. Its the European release, P7510XXKFC.
http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-p7510.htm
I don't know if this the same as the touchwiz update that we've been playing with for the last few days. I wish I could flash and confirm but I'm away from my desktop for another week :-(

Is this an official update?
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk
I am not sure, its June '11 release with 3.1. So I think that might mean its newer than the stock that released with 7150. Not sure and wish I could flash to test but I am traveling.

NM, it is. I saw a post in the dev section, it is touchwiz... wish I had my desktop
Mod delete if you feel necessary since there is a thread in the dev discussing this topic.

Still no update... Sprint

I've had my phone for three weeks. I bought it new from Sprint. Com. In anticipation for kit kat I didn't root or unlock boot loader. It's been over a day is their any reason I haven't received it yet. I've been cranking on the update Motorola software button.

First of all three weeks isn't that long yet, I've been (im)patiently waiting since VZW got it
Second of all, cranking the Update Motorola Software button won't help you a bit, they push out a batch of updates every now and again, if you didn't get it then you won't get after hitting the button either. Just sit tight and it'll come in due time...

me either... still waiting. I check to look every 30 minutes. I know it doesn't help to do so, but I hope that one time it will find it and BAM 4.4.
Maybe you have to be on WiFi because I went to my friends house turned on my WiFi and got the update soon after. This was yesterday. Currently running kitkat and it's buttery smooth.
Look in the sprint dump thread. Very easy way to flash it without root or custom recovery.

Guys, US Cellular was leaked before sprint and I don't think we have an official OTA yet. Patience...

Probably not through area but probably 'completely random'. just draw a few numbers and go with that...
Not sure if WiFi makes a difference but I noticed that I got the update when I flipped it on..
Any one else still waiting? This sucks

The korean sources are saying prpbably late March they will reveal it.

Not trying to be a d!ck, but Google it. There are a ton of rumors out there. Everything from size and camera specs, to possible release dates. There has been nothing close to any official information on the device.

Galaxy S5 new feature is FINGERPRINT, not like s4 and the body made by adamantite (just kidding). I don't know exactly made by what, but the rumors said it very strong.

The only thing I'm interested about this phone is whether it will get a new design language that doesn't scream cheap. Knowing Samsung I fully expect the fingerprint sensor to be a half-baked ass feature like their past and present special feature crappy bloatware.

They pushed the GN3 out the door pretty darn quickly so its very possible we could see the GS5 out the door in March.

With the TWIN BIG EVILS AT&T & Verizon a locked down bootloader is a given. They claim its for security and network integrity, but we know its to keep us from gutting their crapware.

Software Update

Hey guys,
Do you think there will be a software update by July 24th that will block root? My upgrade isn't until then . I won't get a phone if I can't root it so it would be a shame if an update is pushed.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
you should be fine. even if there is an update stores wont have phones with the update on them for months.
That's true

Don't know yet, it fails to download from LG. I'm sure its just August security patches. No way O gets to us this fast, if we even get it at all.
