I have a paid sub that I have integrated into Live Channels. If I refresh the EPG, then when I go to the channel list I get the full epg with program listings for each channel, etc. However, if I exit out of the app and go back in later, there is no information available for the channels. I have to go back to settings and refresh the source again for the epg info to show back up again. Anyone else ran into this and know what is going on?

Anything in the TV Guide realm that works on the Rhodium?
I have TV Guide Mobile made by Handmark but the interface is not finger friendly and the channel listing isn't exactly up to date. For example, not too long ago Comcast in the Bay area added Setanta Sports to their lineup, channel 300, but I cannot find that in the listing.
I can circumvent that by selecting DirecTV as the provider, but another limitation is that the app has realtime data downloads rather than a daily updated guide.

I too would love this! I don't even care if it uses realtime data, although daily update would be better.
TV Guide Mobile is no longer available for download.
Here it is...
the initial setup screens are a little screwed up mostly due to the different resolution. But you'll figure it out. Everything is changeable in the setup menu later anyway.
But you'll see that the realtime data is a bit of a pain, not to mention really not finger friendly. The nice thing is that it works on regular and panoramic screen formats.
There is always Zap2It for US listings.
I use a Program called Sage TV at home for a whole house A/V distribution system and it has a webserver plugin that I can get my guide data from. It even allows me to schedule recordings to watch when I get home and when I used to record in MPEG2 SD I could even stream recordings and live tv from my house to my WinMo phone over 3G. Unfortunately I am now recording everything in H.264 and usually HD so it won't squeeze thru my limited upload bandwidth.

Thanks!! Does it have digital channels? The one I had previously did not, which is why I stopped using it.
it seems to me that this is another one of thoes north american programs that dont work any where else...
...confirm my suspicions...!
Heads up! SPB TV v2 is now free. Its an application for viewing live TV streams and even some on-demand channels (like individual skits on 3 Comedy channels )
It works great on TMOUSA HD2. Many built in international channels.
Download site asks for email address, and application also requests info for "authorization".
Note: As pointed out in later post, SBP TV is actually "Ad Supported", which is why it is offered for free. Ads only show while videos and channel lineups are being loaded and/or buffered.

Or bypass SPB site, and get the cab from the general HD2 thread:

Sweet!!
Thanks for the tip nonpaq!! DL'ing now
excellent thx
nice! trying it out now...

Nice, Thanks
How can I add my chanel??? Can I ???
Channels are set by SPB and downloaded when you start the application. You do have the ability to turn on/off channels from their list in settings.
Their site has a form for requesting channels to be added.
the channel line up for SPB really sucks, there are many TV apps out there with far more better channels, however SPB did an amzing job with the app itself it looks really nice!
New version is advertiser sponsored and displays the ads as the show buffers. All the "SPB TV is now FREE" threads seem to consistently be failing to disclose that.
You are correct, SBP TV is actually "Ad Supported", which is why it is offered for free. Ads only show while videos and channel lineups are being loaded and/or buffered. So far only still image ads (and also so far for SPB itself).
Actually, I think this is a good compromise, as long as the buffering/loading times are not being extended to provide more ad time. This is better than many video streaming site's (like Hulu) method of deliberately delaying, or interupting videos for commercials.
I will mod the OP just for full disclosure.
I wish there was some way to use this application with custom channels. There are many channels I will never need.
i'm used to streaming shows on my laptop: go to a website, select a show then a link takes you to a megavideo. when i try this on my tablet, i somehow end up on some ad website.
any way around this?
(could someone address Hulu as well)
1. Type about:debug in stock browser
2. UAString options, select DESKTOP
3. Restart browser n u r good to go.
Should work for both Hulu, and Mega
megavideos always pop up a ad, hit back once, and it should take you to the video
i did exactly that: about debug > the menu on the top right > settings > debug > UAString > desktop
absolutely no change. still getting sent to ad site.
for a fraction of a second the link shows the megavideo site i'm being directed to, but then it takes me to the ad.
i've even tried emailing myself the megavideo link and opening it on my A500 and same friggin result.
i could stab one of those ad makers right now.
no one else has this problem?
buuuump!
Trie to finde site to which you can paste video link from megavideo and stream. It took me a while to finde one. If you cant finde I ll PM you.
I'm having the same problem. There's no way I can fix it and it's driving me crazy.
The app for pasting the link and streaming there doesn't work for me, not in the Iconia nor in the Galaxy SII.
Cheers
Depending on your configuring, on my desktop, I just x out of the add window and I am left at the download thing. Took a few times to see what was going on.
Always had issues playing megavideo on the stock browser, even with desktop setting, I personally use Opera Mobile now and it has no such issues.,
I'm new to tablets. I'm finding that images don't load on most websites, including Facebook, Netflix, You Tube, Comedy Central, even the App Shop (the screen shots don't load). Instead on most websites there's a little square with a question mark in every spot where an image should be.
This is the case whether I use the browser (large earth button pre-installed on the tablet) or the Apps like Facebook, Netflix and You Tube.
I'm new to all things mobile. Is there something I failed to install or activate to allow these web images to load? Many websites are almost useless without the images. No photos on Facebook... no Movie pictures on Netflix... no You Tube video images on You Tube.
I've tried switching between the option "PC" versus "Mobile" on the settings menu and this doesn't seem to make a difference. I don't really know what these options should do anyway.
This forum has been a lifesaver. Thanks for any expertise you can offer.
When you are in the browser, tap the options box in the top right corner, tap settings, tap advanced, check "load images".
Tap "thanks" if this cures your issue.
Still no images, ideas?
Hi, thanks for the tip about tapping Show Images in the settings menu, but I still get no images in most sites.
Do you? If you go to Amazon or Netflix or Facebook or You Tube from the browser button (or any other way for that matter) do you see the images, i.e. does the website look and function for you the way it's supposed to?
Thanks for coming to my aid, I am a newbie.
Do other computers on your network get images?
My laptop loads web images/pics but not my tablet...
Hi, thanks for asking. My laptop, as well as my husband's netbook, load images/pics on websites just fine, but not my new TPT.
Am I understanding that this is not a common problem? Do other Thinkpad Tablet users see websites just fine?
I get little squares with question marks every place an image should be on most websites...
Thanks for any advice.

Do you suspect the home firewall?
Yes, I just wanted to make sure there's not something along the network connection that is filtering the traffic. I have seen similar results on desktop web browsers when a utility like Peerblock is running and set to filter HTTP on that PC.
Do you have the flash player installed? Get it from the market. At least some of the blank frames will be filled in.
I have multiple Nvidia Shield TV's (with Chromecast built-in). When I set them up initially, they both were there and showing up with the menu that allowed me to disable/enable personal results. I can see the televisions in other menus within the google home app just now the one under "more settings". I purchased a few nest cams and could not use their full functionality. When I searched Google's help, I found out that the reason why the nest cameras did not work was because I had already set up an account with nest thermostats. I had to unlink then relink the account and that's when I lost the TV's.
The reason why I need the TV's to show up in the menu is because when I initially set up the television I ran through the set up. By default, personal results are on and I would like to turn it off. If the TV's don't show up in the "more settings>device" section then there is no where else I can go to turn it off. I've tried a number of things:
1. Factory reset cell phone, camera's, thermostats, and nividia shield (and everything that was smart home related in the google home app) and started from scratch.
2. I went into my google dashboard and deleted all data related not only to the nvidia shield but all devices linked to my account.
3. Renamed the TV's to see if they would pop up and be recognized as something new or different since they had a new name
4. Logged in with another google account (which gives only partial features since it's split across two accounts)
5. Moving all components onto a different network (guest network)
Again, the reason why I want this is because my personal results are showing up on the televisions no matter who gives the command. The Android TV's do not work like the Google Home units where they can distinguish between your voice and offer up personalized results. The TV's work only with 1 account. I do not want someone saying, "what's on my schedule for tomorrow" or " show me pictures of Tiffany " and it accesses my account and post it up on the television.
Please help. Thank you.
P.S. and yes I contacted Google's support, online, over the phone, and even through chat via web and pixel 2 xl. It was useless. Not one of them really understood what I was explaining and all they did was read verbatim exactly what the help file said that they pulled up, which had nothing to do with my issue.
P.P.S. I've been trying to find the solution for the past 15 days, the hardest part is to find online help because when you do a search for "Google Home app" or "home app" it gives you results on the Google Home unit or Apple nonsense about their home app.
