Does this phone support MHL? If yes, kindly provide the links for the supported cables. I am planning to use it as chromecast?
Wondering the same thing.

While casting is no doubt more convenient, MHL offers better AV quality and zero latency. And it charges the mobile simultaneously, if I am not mistaken.

I have still the old video-out cable from the original Galaxy tab (the one with the red, yellow and white Cinch connectors). Does it work with the 7.7 and if yes, how? I found no way to turn on the video out feature...

That is correct. Composite video out via the 3.5mm headphone jack does not work for the 7.7. Have a read through my related post here.

I Test The old cable With P6200 and P6800. And I have only Audio, Without any Video. I Think the Problem is Honeycomb. Maybe it's Work After Update to ICS.

Again, read my other post. The link was in response to someone asking about the exact same question but with regard to the 30-pin adapter.
In short, no composite video for you. Ever. Not via 3.5mm, not via 30-pin plug, not via anything. 1280*800 resolution is WAY too high for composite video anyway. Your only option is HDMI.

Probably because the necessary hardware to downscale the 1024x600 resolution to composite isn't present in the P6200. Just because it's a newer model doesn't automatically mean that it will retain the older features of the previous generation. Producing a unit that only outputs HDMI compliant signals is cheaper, and with HDMI being almost everywhere nowadays anyway, more people are likely to use it now. That's just the way forward into the future. Let composite die already.
It's kinda like how you very rarely see laptops with 25-pin parallel ports, or 9-pin serial ports or VGA ports anymore; it's all USB and HDMI now.
Out with the old, in with the new.
MHL 2.0 = 60hz = 60 FPS = Gaming Heaven on TV.
MHL 1.0 = 24hz = 24 FPS = Useless for anything other than video playback.
How do you find out if Xperia Z1 have support for 60 FPS/MHL 2.0?
I have a 1.1 adapter, as it doesn't supply enough power to keep the phone going and require something better, I would assume that it support 2.0.
Well, i dont use an adapter, just the cable and its pretty smooth, haven't tried gaming yet so i don't know
I'll check and tell you later

The Galaxy S4 has MHL 2.0, so i would guess that the Z1/ZU/Z2 does also have 2.0. But that's just guessing though.
in WMC there was demonstration of MHL 3.0, supporting 4K and 10W charging... and guess what ?
It was done with Xperia Z1 and Sony 4K TV...
Even if it does not.. it's a matter of Software update I guess...
I buyed one at aliexpress.com but the micro adapter was too big. Apparenty only for Samsung because it's fits in my wife's S3.

How is that possible? Everything uses microUSB
Well, dunno for this adapter, but it's possible...
I have a car charger that worked fine for my Xperia S, but it's too loose for the Z1, have to hold it a certain way to get contact.

Since the Z1 is a USB2.0 device (due to connector, not chipset), I would be surprised if you could squeeze 4K out of it. I'm no expert though, and I don't know exactly how MHL works so I may be wrong.

I can confirm that Xperia Z1 have MHL 2.0, I have been in contact with the people who develops the MHL Technology, and they can assure me that it uses 2.0

According to this link , they used xperia z1 for the demonstration, can anyone confirm the Xperia Z1 does support MHL 3.0 ?

Yep, you need a mhl adapter for galaxy s I believe. The newer ones like for galaxy S3 or Note 2 do not fit.
Samsung model that works very good: EIA2UHUNBE , I can play Deadtrigger 2 on my hdtv using my PS3 controller pretty fluently...

I think the micro USB/hdmi slot can only output video.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
No, that's not possible. You can only use the "smart remote" camera app on the a7RII in combination with the playmemories mobile app on the Note 4 to have a remote view (using WiFi) of the screen, but that's most likely something you've already figured out.
Hi,
"only output video" ?? What about load a complete nre operating system/ROM ??
Thats possible with Nikon DSLR cameras that have biultin Wifi but not via HDMI. Phones HDMI is Out and camera's HDMI OUT too. both will send signals to one another only
Hi,
I tried that app, but is not good for my propose. I need high definition for focus.

I understand, but the screen is so good anda the size is perfect for me.
If a forget that is a mobile phone and is note 4 just as a screen of camera ?? with some version of Linux ? anything.
My alternative is to by another monitor that is more expensive and with less defenition...so I am consegering to use this Note 4 just for Photography.

I'm not sure they're going to do much UNLESS they have a built in DAC powered by the USB-C port which I am doubtful of.
If I had to guess, the USB-C connection is only using R-L-MIC-GND much like a four pole 3.5mm jack.
Hello everybody.
I would like to buy an adapter from usb-c to 3.5mm earphone plug. I see it is a little bit more complicated than I thought- There are adapters with DAC chip, without a chip, others won't fit Samsung, etc.
I just want an adapter because of the lack of 3.5mm socket and keep listening music like I did so far. I would like to have the option to use this plug with none-Samsung phones ,too.
What kind of adapter and brands do you recommend to buy ?
Thanks in advance,
Arye
Do a search, this has been discussed since the firsts days of the note 10 forum
I did a search.Did not find anything.
I bought the Samsung adaptor, which seems to work well.

I'm not surprised, given that it's 10x the price of the Samsung one!
Samsung's is flimsy... it doesn't inspire longevity confidence.
The great Samsung flagship missing 3.5 mm jack fubar continues... lame.
I advise you to acquire an adapter that allows you to charge the phone at the same time.
So an adapter with double inlet, USB-C for charging and 3.5mm Audio

Yes, you're right. I didn't notice that, even though I don't understand how it is not compatible.
I use Wordima USB-C to 3.5mm Charger Adapter (https://www.amazon.com/WORDIMA-Headphone-Charger-Adapter-Compatible/dp/B07TBKG7N4), currently unavailable.
But, here are 2 other devices, compatible with the Note 10::

Presumably because it does not incorporate a DAC. The only adaptors that work with the Note 10+ are those with a DAC in them.

Yeah it's tricky. Worse no clue how good that one is.
It was much better with a known internal phone DAC and the 3.5 mm jack. The Note 4 was a better audio platform. WTF?
Samsung really dropped the ball Special Olympics style...
Whatever the dongle DAC is I doubt it's a 32 bit Burr-Brown. Ha!
