I was trying to install a ROM on my galaxy S5, but I can't. First, I've tried to root my phone with CF-Auto-Root-klte. Didn't work.
I've looked for an updated version of Odin (3.13), got the same error. Since I wasn't being successful with rooting, I've also tried to "flash" TWRP with odin, but I get the same error.
I've been searching about the error I get, but the solutions I have found do not work for me(I don't have the OEM unlock option on the developers options, and several guys in different threads say that G900F ain't supposed to have a locked bootloader).
Here is the error:
ammonium sulfate common name
Any ideas?

Hi friends,
I am having samsung galaxy S5, i wan to install my compiled kernel in phone. my phone is rooted. I tried flashing boot.img updated with my compiled kernel, i was able to flash with ODIN but its not booting. After analyzing more i feel that some checksum checking is going at bootloder level. I tried many thing but i was not able to resolve this issue, Even after successful flashing with custom ROM also phone is not able to boot with my zImage. I have less doubt on kernel becasue i downloaded it from samsung website for my particular phone model and also compiled in same way mentioned in README file. In my phone "QUALCOM SECUREBOOT" is enabled and looks like its not allowing phone to boot with custom zImage.
Please tell me if there is any way to unlock bootloader of samsung galaxy S5.

I have the g900f version of s5
As the title says, I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900V with CID starting with 11. I've searching tons of pages looking for a way to finally get root or install another ROM. I'm using Android 6.0.1.
I've read a tutorial here where explain how to get root doing a downgrade and installing a Lollipop ROM, but I don't want to leave Marshmallow .
So let me know if I'm right: I don't have any other options to change my ROM? Do I have to keep my phone with this ROM forever? Do we any hope to unlock the bootloader someday? or that's impossible and no one cares about that?
Thank you very much.

Hello,
I just rooted my G930V, and I am looking for TWRP. I tried to flash couple of them, but they gave errors. Can somebody share the link for G930V TWRP?
Thanks!

How is that possible? There is Lineage OS for G930V. I mean someone must have unlocked it already.

Nope, all US snapdragon S7s are bootloader locked, no Lineage OS for it afaik, just look in the Snapdragon ROM development forum

Now look in the Exynos dev forums

You can install twrp using FlashFire after flashing the ENG_BOOT image. It works on 7.0, not sure about Oreo.

Ok so I am a mom of 3 including an infant and exhausted trying to figure this out. Trying not to clog the board opening a new thread. Long story short- I want to use an app that the developer has not been able to fix the errors with it when using Nougat on an S7. They suggested I upgrade to Oreo or Pie to fix this. I have an unlocked phone purchased outright on eBay and use Total Wireless. So there will be no one to assist me in this. I'm fairly tech savvy so I looked on YouTube about rooting and upgrading with a custom ROM.
I watched these videos:
sorry new cannot post
So easily I enabled developer options and OEM unlock and USB debugging. Downloaded Odin and Magisk and no verity and Gapps and lineage 16.0 (from Ivan Meler) and twrp with the twrp-3.3.1-0-heroqltechn.img.tar file which I determined is which one I needed.
Odin will not flash TWRP (one of the first steps). Fails every time. It does start blue and I did download and install the latest Samsung drivers package just to be sure.
Then I found it was probably because I had a locked bootloader. So, I used this tut and that did successfully download to my phone via Odin. But TWRP still will not "flash" to the phone.
Now, my fingerprint sensor says "The fingerprint sensor is not responding, please try again later". and my phone has a security notice stating "unauthorized actions have been detected. Restart your phone and undo any unauthorized changes". So I am thinking that I did successfully unlock the bootloader? But TWRP still will not flash.
I considered using oneclickroot.com but it's $40, phone only worth about $100, and my husband is convinced they're going to steal info from my computer and phone in the process (even thought they're XDA endorsed). They also told me they can only give me Oreo not Pie.
I have downloaded and used SuperBackup. Also all my photos are auto backed up to Google and my contacts and calendar are too. So I don't think it's a huge deal if I lose everything. Even if I brick it I can get another. Reinstalling and relogging into all my apps will be a pain but whatever. I have a password app that can be logged into from the web.
Also my camera has been getting buggy and not opening and having to be restarted and in general the phone is just getting glitchy, so I was hoping an upgrade might help.
All the info I have:
Model G930V Ver 7.0
Baseband G930VVRS4BQC9
Build NRD0M.G930VVRS4BQC9
Knox 2.7.1
When I enter developer mode:
Odin Mode (High Speed)
Product name: SM-G930V
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Custom
FAP lock: Off
Qualcomm secureboot: enable
AP SWREV B4(2, 1, 1, 1, 1) K1 S3
Secure Download: enable
My startup screen where it says Galaxy S7 powered by Android also now has an unlocked lock icon and says "custom" underneath.
Should I just figure out how to "undo" what I did and leave it alone? I'd really like to use the eMeals app and I'd really like to not buy a new phone.
I have an AT&T Galaxy G950u with my most recent firmware being g950usqs7dtb1. I flashed a combination file (g950usqu7ask1) to turn on OEM unlock so I could install Havoc (I know now, I didn't have to do all that,) but now I can't get Odin to flash any stock ROMs back to install TWRP. The main error I'm receiving in Odin is FAIL! (Auth).
I've tried all kinds of ROMs but I can't find my original ROM anywhere except some shady site that definitely isn't legit.
When I boot into Download/Odin mode the numbers next to RP SWREV are B7(2.1.1.1.1) k6 S7
The error on my phone is SW Rev Check fail: (ab)) Fused 7 > Binary 1
I realized I probably need a carrier free (XAA) or ATT firmware that is binary 7. The problem is it's so recent I can't find any binary 7 firmwares out there. I've searched Updato and couldn't find xaa firmware for binary 7
Working with patched/modded Odin 3B v3.14.1
If anyone can help I would be so grateful.
Edit: I've tried Frija and it says ATT not supported, and it says it can't find anything for XAA. I've also searched Updato thoroughly and can't find a binary 7 file.
Edit 2: I found a ROM.

Well first off you can't flash any custom ROMs on this device it has a locked bootloader. Oem unlock doesn't matter. It's useless. Garbage. That's all for that. Flash any other carrier firmware and flash the oyn csc not home. It will repersonalize for att as the firmware are actually multi carrier. Att included.

To @uberdad search for anything s8 SM-G950 by jrkruse and elliwigy here and you should have a solution if your device is still on 7. Wont be twrp but will be safestrap twrp. You can install a custom rom then.

Hi. Yes you are right I should have said Slightly Cooked Rom or Modified System Image. However preferred to put Custom Rom due to the fact the amount of new Customization Enthusiasts here on XDA to make it simpler. Also sure yes USER Root on XDA only obtained on 7.0 (at least public). Little off topic but our team has a *working* root along with our own SuperUser which means for repairs pretty much but if time was put into it could become possibly a semi to full user root. I have used Magisk SU older versions along with our root and had a semi working user root on past Galaxies.. Anyhow we don't really have time, especially myself, to work on an actual user root for every device i/we work on.
In the world of forums threads never really grow old they just go into a deep sleep eventually....Until someone wakes it up with the thirst for knowledge. It's how the internet works when it comes to these here BBS/Forums/Blogs etc. =]
What he asked could be something someone else might ask or attempt trying (he shouldnt have even got as far as he did unless on international variant which makes the Q odd.. haha eh? however i felt the need to straighten it up for anyone who might read and get confused.
