[TUTORIAL][STEP-BY-STEP][TEXT EDITION]How to install a custom ROM on Xperia arc/S

Hello, guys! A lot of people asked me how to flash custom ROMs on Xperia arc/S since I am the developer of Jelly Sandwich. Always I offered them a self-written guide (guide, tutorial - call it as you want). They were very glad of it. So... I thought, it would be great if I share the tutorial, so other people will be able to use them without asking me in private message. The tutorial I'm sharing with you is in .txt format. The ROM example in the guide is Arconium ICS, but if you don't want to flash that, just swap Arconium with other ROM you would like to use.

I have 3 question i followed your guide and its great, however i want to change kernel because arc knight is draining too much battery.
1)How to change a kernel should i just flash it with fastboot (follow step 3 to 11) or there is a different procedure?
2)What is the best kernel for Arconium 4.0 to get good battery life without overclock?
I think its this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1680793, but correct me if im wrong....
3) Should i wipe something before or after i flash kernel and will i lose my data and apps?

1. Fastboot is the only possibility
2. XArc by Sirkay
3. Make backup with Titanium from Store, wipe everything and restore after installation.

Okay thank you , very much that V2.1 is available. For Xposed , I manually installed and I did not encounter any problems with in any case, it works perfectly fine . Again, good job, great rom.
V3
Hello, like previous versions, a rom always fluid, fast and stable! No problems so far. I am also happy with the autonomy that is just perfect. Good changes to the V3, a few things extra that gives us more customizations. Just a small performance loss it seems to me, with 29,000 items V1, V2 32,200 points V3 30 988 dots (hey, it does not change that the use remains fluid and fast, it's just a small point of detail view of performance and score) Another big thank you for your rom but also for your job, congratulations to you !!

I'm using Yuka kernel, on havoc pie. It's pretty great!
Can u give me link to Yuka Kernel i cant find it in search, and how much FPS do you get on games like PUBG and all. What settings do you use??
And, most important, is this kernel safe for use?

Nothing beats stock rom in terms of battery. Use 056 build if you want stable rom with no WIP issues.

Yeah, right. It is in that version where i got my 16 hours screen-on-time. But what's more important for me is Security updates, that's why I always update to latest. I am doing almost anything through my mobile, online banking, online puchases, online payment. So i need it secured.

Havoc os and with root then greenify is better. In performance and battery.
Stock ROM and AOSP based ROM is boring... The best ROM for me as for now is MIUI 11 from this thread.

Heavy modded roms never have massive performance and battery. That's why stock rom is most stable and performance. Trust me. I tried.

Never compare Roms or ask for ETAs. Devs do put in a lot of hardwork.
However corvus for the Xiaomi phones are actually a beast by unlocking the max potential. However, to what degree they're good enough for the longevity of the device is a question.
However, you can try a lot of other roms here. I guess, if not gaming specific, you could unlock a lot of potential by using them with a modified kernel?

Hello Deepankar!
Thanks for the reply!
I respect each and everyone dev, and I'll take my word "best" back and replace it with "better" ?
Nevermind, currently I'm rocking the OnePlus 7 Open Beta 16 port on my 6T, I just want a custom kernel
Can you suggest any?
I tried flashing the Radioactive Kernel , it said Unsupported device, so do I have to flash a kernel for Op7 now?

Well before flashing any kernel, you should always consult the dev of the ROM whether or not it supports any kernel altogether.
At times, to avoid any hassle, OS performance or any other brick related issues, devs generally do not support custom kernels and their bug reports.
It's all a gamble while flashing kernels on ported roms!

The corvus devs are looking for a maintainer for 6T though, just read in the Oneplus 6 thread of Corvus 7.0 there. (Check the last page I guess)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/development/rom-corvus-4-0-t4081269/amp/
You could pitch in and help them bringing it to us? Atleast by flashing their builds, as it is Oneplus has merged 6 and 6Ts development.
