I would say that it is very possible but, the likelihood is probably 50/50...
Will there be/is it possible regarding any 3rd party Android P developments for the GS5?
This is even more likely and very possible indeed!
Take a look at the S3... The last stock Android for this device was Android 4.x but, 3rd party developments for this device, so far, reached Android 7.x +.
I hope that I had explained my thoughts okay via text...

Anyone working on Android Pie for Galaxy S5?

Regular updates for omni-4.4.4 (FINAL)

Hi there,
I've recently updated my tablet to a custom ROM for the first time and this is my first post here, so please correct me right away if there is a better place for asking such kind of questions.
My question is specifically about omni-4.4.4 (FINAL). For now I'm not interested in the 5.1.1 branch (NIGHTLY) at all, as I'm looking for stability.
So the question: is there any kind of update policy for the OMNI-4.4.4 branch? In the light of the recently published security flaws in Android, I'd like to know more about my options. I don't mind to try to build the rom myself, provided that the source code in the branch is updated regularly.
Stagefright-Bug-Fix for Galaxy Nexus Kitkat 4.4.4 (post #2) answers the question about the forthcoming update.
Good to know that "FINAL" doesn't mean that support for the branch is over.
Entropy512, do you make any kind of announcement after the source code has been updated? I'm just wandering what is the best way to follow the process.

We'll make some sort of announcement when it happens.
I have the day off Friday and will hopefully be far enough ahead in the apartment-cleaning process to work on this.

SM-S820L Lollipop Update?

Is there any way to get Android Lollipop on the Galaxy Core Prime SM-S820L? I have read about custom ROM's but I still don't know much about them and can't find any for this model. If anyone has found or created a way to flash a custom ROM onto this device, please let me know.

I also own this device, and unfortunately there is very limited support in the custom Rom department. If there was to be a lollipop Rom, someone would either have to port one somehow, or build it from source. Given the development rate for this device, I don't predict it happening anytime soon, sorry to say.
not going to happen
i have been trying since february the answer i got from my carier was samsung is contracted not to support this device thats why that is so hard to find samsung told me to take the device to bestbuy to force update if they could probably irrelavent but maby it helps
SM-S820L Got the Shaft!
Yup! This seems to be the future for the SM-S820L, or lack of future I should say.
I too have the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime SM-S820L. I have spent lots of hours scouring the internet looking through every android related forum in hopes of eventually finding someone that is undertaking much needed programming to build a custom ROM for this CorePrime version.
If you are looking for a custom recovery to use. I can point you to my and others posts over at Needrom. The best I can offer is an unofficial TWRP release, but it DOES work! It does for myself at least and I am no Android Guru whatsoever.
I guess I am not allowed to post Links in any of my posts yet because I am still a NOOB on these forums. I'll PM you with some direction my friend!
I cannot take credit for coming up with any of that software. I simply rooted around long enough to compile a collection of tools and files that worked for me to modify the Recovery of my SM-S820L.

I would love to help out as much as I can with modding your phone. Like I said, I'm not a proffesional but I have read up on the procedures used and been successful with my own Galaxy Core Prime:laugh:

Will someone work to port android nougat on oneplus one?

So, N is out Will someone work on it? When we Will receive a nougat rom on the One?
Probably soon. There won't be any ETAs for custom ROMs though, but it's probably in a week or so.
Give it a month or two. Devs are people too. You can't expect hard work to just come out of no where
Thread closed, there is an existing thread here: Android 7.0 aka Nougat is officially released for Nexus devices

Hi,
As I'm seeing this, it all depends on whether the developers will put their time into this or not.
Technically, nothing is impossible, I've seen many active communities on older devices that for example have ported Android Nougat on phones that essentially had Android 2.3 (!).
Although our community isn't quite as active/big, we still have some awesome contributors around working on bringing custom ROMs to our Lenovo devices. With that being said, I'm sure that we will be seeing a stable Android O ROM release some time this year!
Cheers,

Is AOSPA dead? "Again"?

I am looking forward to flash some custom ROM (official and supported one) on my Xperia X Compact. I was surfing around the web what happened to Paranoid Android ROMs, because I remember seeing articles and XDA posts about them... I did hear there was a slowdown in development in 2015 or 2016, but there was no activity today in 2018 that I'm aware of...
So, what's the state of the project? Is it alive? Or dead?
Thanks in advance!
P.S. I'm sorry for a dramatic name of the thread... I'm just curious

They have a problem with fundings, so that's the problem with such a delay.
Over here you can get more info - https://plus.google.com/+ParanoidAndroidCorner/posts/iHnnCxFFv2Z
They made an Android 9 Beta. You can try it on every treble supported device.:good:

Sorry, you can only try on msm8998 (Snapdragon 835) devices.
There's no GSI of Android 10, but Paranoid Android is developed for some Oneplus and Xiaomi phones. ?
