Just installed. July security update. They changed the silent mode status bar icon. Still looking for other changes.
-edit- Dark theme is an option under display settings, advanced!
It seems to have some horrible contact bar in the app drawer when you pull it up now that shows 2 frequent contacts? Found out you can disable this under home screen settings.
-edit 2- root still works with magisk. Still P under build with same easter egg as before.

Is anyone able to tell me if Actions Services app is included in DP4 for the Pixel XL?
I originally grabbed the apk from a Pixel 2, but i suspect that it's now included in DP4.

Anyone tried the ElementalX build for DP3 on this yet? ctsProfile seems to fail SafetyNet on Magisk 16.4, other than that haven't noticed any problems.

Sorry, when you say root still works with magisk... do you have to unroot before updating, then reflash magisk? Or can you update right over the previous update if you're already rooted??
Hopefully Google fix up the device certification for DP4 - Google Pay won't work currently, but did on DP3. I think G need to add it server-side.
edit: Google fixed the device certification. Google Pay now works again.
Flash kernel failed cts. Might be something new detecting magisk

Keep losing root, anyone else? A reboot will fix it, but it goes away eventually for me. Also magisk data partition isn't set up correctly (can't install modules).

Just Got Update
I just received Beta Version N-MR1 (NPF10C). Settings-About Phone shows Android Version 7.1.1. Support is listed as another heading under Settings.
Came thru over OTA, install went smooth, phone loaded smooth. Used the fancy new reboot button once, stuck in a boot loop. Recovery will not load either, just boot looping the google logo. Oddly cannot turn phone off in bootloader, it shuts down then starts itself up again to reboot loop, sorta funny yet annoying to have to flash back to 7.0 some bad karma here.

I heard for other devices (Pixel 2) the UI (At least on the home screen) has been much more fluid with the updated Pixel launcher. I would agree with this on the Pixel XL too now...I have far less stutters using navigation gestures and swiping right to go to the Discover feed. Good update!
This is really random, but after updating anyone else having an issue with the screen turning off when a right to far left of the screen is performed? Noticed it when I was swiping a word from far right of the screen to far left, and it turns the screen off. Does the same thing outside of the app. Checked the Gestures settings and couldn't find anything relevant. (Wiped data on upgrade) Any suggestions are appreciated!

doubt it. you need the kernel too (boot.img). then you'd need to reflash twrp and magisk.
you also need new radio & bootloader img's.
what's so hard about re-rooting? you just have to flash twrp and magisk, right?

He has a VZW Pixel 3a. You can't fastboot a factory image with a locked bootloader. You can only sideload an OTA so he will need to wait in order to unenroll from the beta. Couple more days I think at the most.

I think so. I have noticed you can swipe up from a bigger portion of the screen to show the appdrawer too. Now I can swipe up from the lower row of icons, and I think that before the update I had to swipe from the icon menu.
How do you even sideload the OTA ? When I do adb reboot recovery I just get a no command screen :/
EDIT: NVM Figured that out. When I sideload the OTA, I just get a signature verification failed error. I have a Tmobile 3a
Edit 2: I am dumb. I had the full image instead of OTA. Getting the OTA worked.

I have Magisk and Titanium Backup installed, both with root access allowed.

The OP Weather app for instance, the OP square and round icon packs, e few more that I dont recall. All of them could be downloaded from the play store. You only need the font fox magisk module referenced earlier in this thread. You wont notice these missing apps on a dirty install but you will see it on a clean install or factory reset.
Reinstalling the ROM ZIP via in-built updater fixes the issue. Done it multiple times.

Everybody has installed it... It's been out for days
Went for it yesterday. With an "ultimate guide" here on forum. I was 9.0.17 rooted with twrp description problems. So I downloaded update (1.8Gb) from official One+ site. And did local update, and all the steps to keep root. After finally booting up I got message that Magisk Manager stopped working, but everything was fine. So cleared app temp memory, and settings (for Magisk only) and next boot everything was ok.
Nope... 100% stock, 9.0.17 is ROCK solid, g-pay, samsung pay work perfectly & there really isn't anything in 10 I can't live without yet. So, I
see no need to update for now.
I'm also not updating yet, at least until they fix the keyboard offset issue and other things I've read about.
Luckily you can just freeze the system update app with Titanium.

There is no keyboard offset issue and so therefore it's never getting fixed. Designs can change, but there isn't going to be a fix for something that isn't a problem.

There is a Magisk module to deal with that (immersive gestural Navigation for Android 10), and an adb command to change the size of the space. It's a deliberate thing from Google so they'll perhaps remove it later or no but staying with Pie just for that.....

Question of the day. I've been waiting to do the A10 update for the issues it showed on the first days. I'm on a converted 6T from TMo, running 9.0.17. my major concern is the GPay thing I use it a lot. But researching here there's a way to make it work if I root the device. So can I update to 10.3.0 then root to get the GPay issue resolved with the Hide module on magisk? Or should I root on Pie then update?

This is pretty bad ux experience, and with the amount of complaints it seems and accidental keypress possibly when swiping is much better than losing all the text and keyboard closing with an accidental touch. At least give us the option to move it down, without having to go into ADB and setting an offset that then interferes with the way all apps render.
