oreo Camera on Edge S7 GOLD missing - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds the update to orea on the s7 edge to be irritating. I frequently used preset photograph stylings such as "retro?" and "gold". One of the main reasons I got this phone was for the camera.
Now they are gone which is really disappointing.
Is there ANYONE who can help me manually get to the "gold" setting?

S7 Edge Auto Brightness Issue

Well got the game mode thing fixed where the screen Dims out while playing games. Now the other thing is the auto brightness of the phone itself. When you have auto brightness off the screen still doesn't stay on maximum brightness. The s6 and s6 edge had this same issue and I see they carried it over onto the s7 edge lol... anyone have a non-rootable fix? Anything is always appreciated as always.
I'd imagine lux could handle this.
That would be be near impossible to fix non-root. And none of us has made anything even if you had root.
Maybe someone else will prove me wrong
Who knows.
Enjoy your S7 in the meantime
So annoying.
I have the same problem and I even uploaded a video I shot today but can't post it because I don't have 10 posts. Put this in your address bar to view:

Wonky Compass

Hi,
I have a S7 Edge (G935W8) with Android M 6.0.1. I tried the compass using the dedicated Edge Panel and noticed that after calibrating it, it gets wonky: the needle wobbles a little bit in both directions. Before calibration though, it is stable. This is kind of odd since it should be the other way around....
I get the same results with another compass app.
Has anyone else experienced the same issue?
As i've read this is a general issue for both s7 ans s7 edge. However mine (s7 exynos) is always woobly, before and after calibration.
It sucks when u use here maps, skyview, 360 photos, etc... super annoying

Any Way To Get Nexus-Style Post Processing On S7 (Edge) Camera?

Hi everyone.
I got my S7 Edge a couple of weeks ago, and I love it for the most part, but predominantly I am really not a fan of the front facing camera.
It uses strange post processing, and to me, even when the 'beautification mode' is completely off, it still seems slightly turned on.
I was wondering - it doesn't matter what has to be done to achieve it (root, custom ROM etc) - if you could get Nexus/iPhone style post processing on the front facing camera. I've tried downloading loads of different camera apps (including Google Camera) but nothing quite seems to remove the awful software airbrushing.
Any tips/tricks/methods would be highly appreciated! Thankyou.
I'm looking for an alternative too. Have you found any? The crayon face front camera is terrible

Nougat notifications and auto bright probs

Hey there guys, i've just updated my s7edge to nougat and after the first 20m i'm already seeing some issues.
The first one is in notifications. I use the app "Battery widget" and i have it configured so that it shows my phone temp, battery percentage and time till depletion, but it used to be on top of all the other notifications in marshmallow and now it is not since nougat update. It used to work fine in my note 4 as well so my guess is that it's all related to nougat. Is there a way to fix this?
Second issue is auto bright. Before nougat i had it set for a specific bright in my room and the phone remembered that level everytime i unlocked my phone, now sjnce nougat it always resets itself to his own standards, which happen to be too low to my eyes.
Is there any way to solve those 2 issues?
Any help is most welcome.
Thanks in advance

AoD & NightWatch on S7 Edge is driving me crazy! (It doesn't work by any means)

Hello everyone,
Recently, my Always on Display and Nightwatch stopped working - I've read people's issues with greeny AoD's, AoD's not showing notifications, among some other issues. But in my case it doesn't appear at all, even in the S-View case.
I've almost ran out all the options to solve this problem, i.e.:
1. I've already factory reset the phone. Cleaned cache and everything. Result: A brand new phone. Still no AoD nor NW.
2. Cleaned AoD cache and data, restarted the phone. Still no AoD nor NW.
3. Used AoD without "Show Always" option. Still no Aod nor NW.
4. Disabled edge screen (because this one works when I swipe on it with screen off) and enabled AoD. Still nope.
5. Installed AoD APK from Galaxy s8 & previous versions from Galaxy S7 models. Of course still no AoD nor NW.
6. Flashed previous firmware (I'm on latest official 7 build. Never rooted or anything). Guess what? No AoD nor NW.
7. Flashed 2 previous versions of Samsung firmware. AND NO GOD DAMN AOD AND NW!!!
My S7 Edge had its screen replaced some time ago by Samsung, and no worries until now. This was the only issue with the phone so far, because I let it fall almost one year ago.
I'm starting to be a little bit upset with this. Could it be an hardware issue? Do you guys had any similar issue with this feature? I'm really concerned because I used to use it A LOT in a daily basis.
Looking forward for your help
