All Xiaomi users suffer from a single problem, Firmware update. As there are many devices with no one to provide the newest firmware update every single release. And also developers who provide updates to devices may forget or be busy sometimes, so releases are provided later. Here is my simple solution:

My scripts download MIUI official ROMs, both Developer and Stable, Global and China, extracts the firmware-update folder, generates firmware flashable zip with auto-written "updater-script", and uploads them automatically to many servers.
The scripts are completely automated, running on a Linux server every six hours.

Frequently Asked Questions:
What is Firmware? Is it a full ROM or OTA package?
Firmware is not a ROM nor OTA Package, it's a set of low-level drivers which helps the operating system do whatever it wants to do. It includes various things like Modem, Bluetooth, Bootloader, DSP and etc.
Why should I update the Firmware?
Firmware is provided from Xiaomi directly, and there are no sources for it to let developers build and edit it on their own like custom ROMs, so if you want to keep your device up to date always update your firmware!
Do I need updating the Firmware If I'm MIUI official or custom ROM user?
No, MIUI ROMs contain the firmware-update package which I extract and provide here.
What are the supported devices?
All Snapdragon and MTK devices including China-only devices.
Check the full devices list here
How to update firmware?
1- Download the package you want to flash. IT MUST BE NAMED WITH THE SAME CODENAME OF YOUR DEVICE.
2- Flash it using TWRP or any custom recovery. There's no need to wipe/format anything before or after the installation.
How to check the updated firmware?
Usually, the modem gets updated with newer firmware, you can check it in Settings > About > Baseband.

I think there's a thread in general section already.
If i may suggest:
1. Change log
2. Keep the update on the first post. i.e. it is easier to refer all the latest update in one place.
Aprreciate your work. Keep it up.

I can not find in the front page link a little help would be welcome thanks.

This is a unofficial Resurrection Remix Oreo ROM based on Resurrection Remix and LineageOS sources.
This is a ROM that works on Xiaomi Redmi 4X (santoni) only! This ROM comes with a highly-customized kernel, as well as some other very custom modifications.
I will NOT provide support if you install a custom kernel!
Changelogs: http://luis-builds.de/downloads/lineageos/rr/Xiaomi_Redmi_4X_(santoni)/RR-O-Changelog.mkdn
Introduction
(2018-12-27) I completely revised the kernel for the santoni device and changed the sources. The device, vendor and kernel is now based on the sources of ArrowOS-Team
Hello Friends!
I had troubles to find current builds for my devices so I decided to make regular builds for my devices. When my friends told me about similar problems, I extended the builds to include their devices as well. So these builds were and are mainly for my friends and me, but I finally decided to provide them also for public download.
Unofficial Resurrection Remix the ROM (LuisROMs) an awesome combination of performance, customization, power and the most new features, brought directly to your Device.
My Buildserver
My buildserver automatically creates a new nightly build every second day from the current sources (RR, LineageOS, AOSP) and my personal repositories, even if nothing has changed in the changelog. The RR Updater informs you about new OTA updates. You can also download my nightlys via the RR OTA Updater.
Notice
Sometimes I get a lot of help or feature requests from users of my LuisROMs. My dog Luis and I try to fulfill most of the wishes, but that is not always possible. I do that as a little hobby and Luis does not always want to build ROMs . Please understand if I can not always answer directly.
ROM features:
Based on the latest Resurrection Remix Oreo / LOS 15.1 sources
RR OTA Updater (nightly builds every second day from the sources)
Latest security patches and sources
Legendary battery life
Signature Spoofing (microG Support)
Many other misc performance and stability improvements under the hood
Kernel: Linux 3.18.x Kernel from HyperTeam source with mods other devs and me (thanks for your incredible work!)
Removed lots of excessive bloat (improves security and performance)
Improved stability (several bugs not listed here have been fixed)
Optimized for performance and battery life
Add I/O schedulers: bfq, zen ,fiops , sio, maple
Add CPU gouvernors: blu_active, elementalx, alucard...
Westwood TCP congestion control default
Sound control driver V1.1.0 from @flar2

Which version of gapps do you recommend? (pico/nano/micro)
Does it work on Indian variant of redmi 4x
The rom works great.
but there are some problems like:
i can't change the "menu" button action. In my case i want the menu button to open recent tab when i short press it , and open the menu when i long press it.
the device seems overheating without using any heavy apps.
using the rom since today , i'm gonna report about battery backup in the next days.
THanks for the rom, i think it's one of the best 8.1 rom out there.

Finally youre posting this on xda
Any reason to prefer this port instead of the official one?
I'm currently running the official RR port, and I was just wondering if I should stick with that version or switch to this one

Wait for a next improvements and upgrates - hope there will be some.
Thank's for a creation of the RR. Best regards

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10 (Q), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
Base source code is available in the LineageOS Github repo and the TINNO-MSM8937 Github repo where all the device specific sources are. And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.
GPL compliance:
Device tree source code: LineageOS/android_device_yu_garlic
Kernel source code: LineageOS/android_kernel_tinno_msm8937
Broken / not yet supported:
VoLTE (?)
Goodix Fingerprint Sensor (?)
Working:
Camera (and flashlight)
WiFi
Bluetooth
Telephony (Calls and Data)
Audio (Record and Playback)
Video Playback
Sensors
GPS
HW crypto
Elan Fingerprint Scanner
Compatibility:
Compatible with any p7201 model with the latest YU Nougat Firmware installed.
Downloads:
lineage-17.0-20191212-UNOFFICIAL-garlic.zip
Notice:
No custom kernels are supported in this thread. Only stock kernel and official builds will be supported. No bug reports if that's not the case.
Installation:
Reboot to recovery (TWRP recovery for YU Yureka Black (p7201) - Direct link)
Format /system, /data and /cache
Install LineageOS zip package
Install [optional] the LineageOS su addon to get root (there are obviously other root methods, but this is the recommended one as it survives to OTA updates)
Install [optional] a Google Apps package of your choice (Open GApps is advisable, but stock and super variants are not recommended!!!)
Important notes:
GApps can only be flashed on clean installs.
Formatting data (all user data is wiped, including internal storage) is a must if MIUI was previously installed and device was encrypted.
Credits & collaborations:
This work is the result of many hours of debugging by the Tinno MSM8937 team. I will proudly thank @Pranay Narang and VJS Pranav to have supported the team all along.
Finally, all LineageOS team would like to thank everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!

Any hopes for goodix sensor?
Can i install yureka black rom on micromax hs3
If it's one of the yu yureka black's clones then go ahead
Processor is same msm8937 but device tree, kernel and vendor are different. I need an answer that is there any rom supporting micromax canvas infinity hs3 or any other ways to achieve a latest rom like cloning to hs3 from other same spec device. I don't know why people left hs3 model having same specs as yureka black. I want to take initiative if it is possible. I have downloaded repos and configured device tree, kernel and vendor. But i am noob to proceed further. No good guide to build custom rom found. Thanks for your reply. Please guide me .
Just try to flash it and test it, it should work

What's working :
Boots
RIL (Calls, SMS, Data)
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
Camera (All of them)
Camcorder
Video Playback
Audio
Sensors
Flash
GPS
Sim slots
Flashlight
Mali drivers
MTP
2D and 3D gpu acceleration
HW encoding/decoding
HWcomposer (HWC)
Signal indicator
Known issues:
VoLTE and VoWiFi will not be implemented (for now) as they heavily depend on samsungs framework
Selinux is permissive
Wifi hotspot
Usb tethering
NFC
Instructions :
flash OneUI Pie ASG7 firmware preferrably.
Download the latest build.
Reboot to recovery
Flash the latest build.
Wipe data. however, you need to FORMAT data IF you are running encrypted stock ROM.
Optional: Flash GApps for Google Services and Magisk for root.
Reboot
NOTE :
This was built using sources from A105FDDU3ASG7 sources. At the time that was the only usable kernel source for me. I later requested ASL2 (December patch) from samsung opensource but havent switched to it because rooting ASL2 firmware was problematic ( Ask samsung) .
This is not a GSI! if you are switching ROMS be sure to restore your stock vendor. will it boot a GSI? I dont know try at your own expense.
Bug report? :
To properly report a bug (Please dont report things already on the Not Working list)
a) Logcat ( preferrably logcat -b all whilst doing the activity).
b) /proc/last_kmsg (or /proc/kmsg)

Xiaomi custom users face a problem with firmware updates. As there are many devices with no one to provide the newest firmware update every single release, and developers who provide updates to devices may forget or be busy sometimes, so releases are provided later. Here comes Xiaomi Firmware Updater project:

What is Xiaomi Firmware Updater?
A set of various scripts that automatically generates Xiaomi firmware flashable zip files for every MIUI new update! My scripts download MIUI official ROMs, both Developer and Stable, Global, EEA, India, and China, extract firmware either from the firmware-update folder or from update payload, generate firmware flashable zip with auto-written "updater-script", and uploads them automatically to multiple servers. These scripts are completely automated, running on a Linux server every X hours.
Notes:
Firmware filenames for this device are in the following manner:
fw_toco_miui_TOCOGlobal_*.zip is Mi Note 10 Lite (toco) Global firmware.
fw_toco_miui_TOCOEEAGlobal_*.zip is Mi Note 10 Lite (toco) EEA Global firmware.
DownloadsYou can get updates always from various mirrors available on the website:

Firmware Archive
Frequently Asked Questions:
What is firmware? Is it a full ROM or OTA package?
Firmware is not a ROM nor OTA Package, it's a set of low-level drivers which helps the operating system do whatever it wants to do. It includes various things like Modem, Bluetooth, Bootloader, DSP and etc.
Why should I update the Firmware?
Firmware is provided from Xiaomi directly, and there are no sources for it to let developers build and edit it on their own like custom ROMs, so if you want to keep your device up to date always update your firmware!
Do I need to update the Firmware If I'm an MIUI official or a custom ROM user?
No, MIUI ROMs contain the firmware-update package which I extract and provide here.
What are the supported devices?
All Snapdragon and MTK devices including China-only devices.
Check the full devices list here
How to update the firmware?
1- Download the package you want to flash. IT MUST BE NAMED WITH THE SAME CODENAME OF YOUR DEVICE.
2- Flash it using TWRP or any custom recovery. There's no need to wipe/format anything before or after the installation.
How to check the updated firmware?
Usually, the modem gets updated with newer firmware, you can check it in Settings > About > Baseband.
