"Device has been modified"

So i clicked on software update and got this "device has been modified" message, telling em I cannot get updates now. IS there any way to fix this?

You can only get FOTA updates on unmodifed devices just now. The latest firmwares are available from from sammobile.com or samsung-updates.com. Just flash whatever you like with Odin.

is there any way to "un-modify" and then flash, and they re-modify, or has that ship sailed and that's that?

As I understand it, the flash counter is still present albeit hidden in the Note 3.
According to the TriangleAway changelog, resetting it isn't possible and we already know that Knox warranty can't be reset (yet?).

can i downgrade from 5.1. to 4.4.?

No, I tested from 5.0.2 to 4.4.4.
Flash wipe >>system,data,caches and davilk from twrp
And then flash via Odin
All OK

How to solve that i don't know.
But you can do that ....
Extract az firmware tar.md5
And then create tar file to system.ext4.mbn
And flash via odin
And other too....

Any reason you want the EE firmware? You can flash the BTU UK firmware which is international version so no bloat

i'm using a galaxy s7 so went to get note 4 and lo and behold and it is finally out of boot loop with baseband version N910FXXU1DPL1 can't remember what it was i put on lol but seems ok so maybe leave the EE,sorry for the trouble:good:

So I had a collasal messup on my T280. I accidentally soft bricked it, and am in need of the Firmware. Asking the live help brought up absolutely no help.
So, does anyone have it? I've tried looking and so far have been unable to find it.

I'm assuming you're referring to https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-T280/
However, I can't find one that matches my model number, which is where my concern more or less comes from.

Flash latest firmware with odin.... from sammobile.com
Second solution
Flash first or latest firmware from sammobile
Open odin and select options
And select Nand erase all - this options erase all and correct your rom

OK you have ways of possibly bypassing this issue.
One is to root the device. This will patch the boot.img and disable dm-verity.
Or use an eng boot.img.

Flash the entire combination firmware. Enable OEM UNLOCK and Factory reset from within the firmware.
Then try reflashing the stock firmware.
