Re: All sound suddenly stopped working Moto G4 plus
Phone starts without boot animation only blue static screen with M logo and then directly home screen and on playing YouTube it shows playback I'd error. Audio doesn't play shoes error fm shows headphones removed even if they're plugged in. Please someone help what to do. My phone is not rooted or anything just regular updates sent by company.

Sounds almost like an hardware issue. Try factory resetting, if that doesn't help it is most likely hardware failing.

Hi Akhlesh_yadav, exactly the same started to happen to me. Did you find out out what was the issue? Thanks.

No sound...

Hi, I was playing with my 4-day old Legend a while ago. Installed Shazam and tried to identify the music playing in the Legend's speakers, when after the identifcation, the music stopped and the speakers stopped working! I can still use my earphones, but I can't play anything over the speakers, even ringing doesnt work. I tried resetting to factory settings.. and the hardware keys of volume up --> power button doesn't work. it only leads to a phone icon with a red triangle and an exclamation mark. Recovery in the menu also didn't push through and leads to the same icon.
Please help! I can't have it repaired yet since I bought this in Taiwan and I just came home here in the Philippines... then my phone broke. I don't know what to do anymore!
i also experienced this sudden loss of spakers!!
IMHO this is due to some bug, i have gone in recovery done factory reset!! & my problem has gone not resurfaced till today

[Q] Why don't I have sound from anything, then app crashes

I recently had my Galaxy S4 from AT&T JTAG'd, and upon receiving it I've had no sound. I've tried factory reset, clearing partition, going through the sound settings and turning off adapt sound.
When I try to listen to a video or any sound, I play the video, my phone vibrates, then a few seconds later vibrates twice. After, the app crashes. I've tried headphones, and the phone says headphones are plugged in, but no sound and same crash occurs.
When trying to use adapt sound, I plug my headphones in, the message appears, but at the bottom the phone asks me to plug my headphones in.
Since I soft bricked my phone, today the first day I've had my phone in almost a month, and the day I get it back the sound doesn't work.
This is really frustrating, so any and all help is welcomed!

Have you considered sending it back to the people that Jtag'd it so they can fix it correctly? Or at least contacting them?

No sound coming from earpiece - software related pleeeease help!!!

Hey guys, so I've been having a horrible issue with this phone and I can't for the love of god find the reason behind it.
Sometimes my earpiece just doesn't work, be it for calls or anything else. In fact, if I press the play button on a whatsapp voice note and put the phone to my ear even though it turns the screen off it actually pauses the audio, which may already be an indicative that the problem isn't hardware related, as it would just keep playing with no sound coming out if the problem was the actual speaker. This problem comes and goes (but it's there 80% of the time) and when the earpiece works sound is loud and clear. When I reset the phone, it worked all the time, but as soon as I install my apps and all, problem comes back. I really need help to find out what's causing it... Is there a way for me to know if a specific process from some app is doing it? Has anyone had a similar problem??? My phone simply can't be used as a phone right now =(
If u r sure it is software related reflash the software via Odin

Earpiece, Microphone stopped working but in loudspeaker mode its working.

Hi, I'm facing issues in Moto X Play XT1562 (Android 6.0.1). Suddenly 2 days back the earpiece and mic stopped working also while playing audio/youtube videos no sound in mobile. While calling and holding the device to my ear the display is not getting turned off. But every thing is working if I plug wired headphone. In loudspeaker mode call is working fine.
I have also done factory reset but same problem exists. I also noticed that some time the its working fine, since last night I am facing the same issue. So I guess its not an hardware issue. Please provide solutions.
my office mates has same (exact) same issue with moto x play .. some time it works some time not .. flashing is the only key to get voice back ..
it would be better to flash custom rom like RR .. may be your problem will resolved !
by the i also have moto x play & i dont have this issue !
I had the issue with loudspeaker just once time so long..a singke reboot had solved my problem..
Peace to all
I have the same problem on XT1563, also tried custom roms but still fails, can this issue be resolved?
I've just started to have this problem on Moto X Play but with microphone only. Calls can only be made with loudspeaker and hands free. Voice recording and TTS not working though, video camera records sound as usual. Perhaps video uses a different microphone, but I'm not sure, I'm not able to clarify that yet since I couldn't find no hardware information about this phone anywhere. If video camera uses the same mic used for calls and voice recording, then that means microphone is actually not damaged and it's a software related PITA. With an answer for that question I could dedicate my time to search for the responsible bug; However, I've tried many of the available "fixes" on that matter (reboot, factory reset, wipe cahe, delete apps) and none of them had any effect on the issue. So I will inspect inside the phone to see if I can find some physical damage. If not, replacing the mic would be my last bet...

Really? I have SD maid pro version installed. I've cleared dalvik/cache through TWRP to no avail. What did you cleared exactly? My issue is on the microphone, but I can give it a try. Something tells me it is not a hardware issue

Do a factory reset in settings and check if music and ringtone is working when select a new ringtone in sound settings, then try to receive a call again. If it still persists he should return the device within warranty to get a new one if it's possible there?
Don't mess around with rooting when it's a problem on a brand new device, instead use warranty.
