Is your device encrypted and if so, do you have problems decrypting the data partition?
No my device was not encrypted but I am placing to encrypt one I have backup
Faced the same error. Updating TWRP helped. Able to install successfully.

Big Thanks for the Devs !!!
Works fine.
How to get blurred lock screen?
I dirty flashed it a couple hours ago, so far so good. I snapped a few pictures, made a call, started some apps that i use daily, everything works as expected. The only thing I miss is the Protected App feature

from official 14.1 nightly. i've always used the OTA updater and this morning i got the notification to download and manually install new version. i was quite happy, waiting for this a long time
---------- Post added at 09:48 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:55 AM ----------
Update with some more details after trying 15.1 it for a couple hours.
The phone became unrooted so I could finally try Magisk which I haven't been able previously (I did not want to mess with root, stock boot img etc)
What works
Wifi
Cellular and mobile data
Bluetooth (my BT headphones are perfectly working)
Android Debugging
Magisk (Google Pay works, I still can't install Netflix from Play Store, but it's not LineageOS' fault)
Daily apps: Facebook messenger, Instagram, Phone, Messages, Kindle, Discord
What doesn't
I can't find Protected Apps feature in Settings. If I'm searching for it, the menu crashes (not implemented yet?)
Occasionally a few apps are crashing. Not too annoying, not too frequent, happened 3-4 times since I've updated this morning. Apps crashed: Magisk, Settings app
AudioFX is missing
120fps video recording (wasn't working in 14.1 either)
I haven't tested yet
Battery
Overall experience: everything is smooth and working fine so far. I'm pretty sure the few annoyances will be fixed soon, great work by the devs!
screen goes blank
Hi
Just flashed official LOS from unofficial LOS 15.1. After first boot screen goes blank.
Which gapps is compatible? Download fails when I try to download 8.1 stock from gapps website
Clean flashed and used Mindthegapps 6/10. Works very well, as expected by LineageOS. Been waiting for this one.

Apparently the 7.1.0 source has been released to AOSP, while 7.1.1 is the dev preview. Someone already made a rom for the Galaxy Nexus too. It'd be awesome if some of the current 7.0 roms upgraded to 7.1 before 7.1.1 comes out. https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/co..._rom_is_now_available_for_the_galaxy/d930v7a/
No 7.1.0 ROM yet, or am I blind?
Source is out for 2 days. Will take some time if 7.0 binaries are working on 7.1.
Binaries are working.

Have you installed this ROM? How are the partitions handled? Can you go back to a 7.0 after?
not sure how the partitions are handeled, just went flash happy xD! Yes you can revert back to 7.0 AND 6.0.1 if you wish, its a pretty stable rom actually.

I'm encrypted so I don't know.. I flashed ROM, then gapps. Booted into rom and set it up. Went back in recovery and flashed SuperSU, AdAway host files, clear nexus launcher( I think that messes up ok Google anywhere). Booted back into rom and added "settings put global tether_dun_required 0" with a terminal emulator. Started AdAway with no problems. Installed lightflow and all my other apps with titanium backup. Add layers this morning
Everything's working with no problems.

No force encrypt on SkyDragon AOSP 7.1 (10/22 build), Uberstock 7.1 (10/23/16 build), or Nitrogen 7.1 (10.24/16) build
Skydragon has call audio issues on Verizon (similar to early SkyDragon AOSP 7.0--later fixed in last few builds). Call audio requires headset to work. Speakerphone and earpiece has NO sound at all on VZW. Can't play any music on Pandora either. Works with Adaway (provided you flash systemless zip with Adaway) and V4A Nougat.
Uberstock 7.1 has issues with FC's on Banks Gapps 7.1 (SDK25 build, avail. on Google Drive of Uberstock rom)--fixed by dirty flashing over Uberstock 7.0 without wiping any thing at all (filled in missing files when clean flashing Uberstock 7.1 + Banks SDK25). Call audio is perfect on VZW. Works fine with Adaway (provided you flash systemless zip with Adaway) and V4A Nougat
Nitrogen 7.1 is flawless with Banks SDK25 build, clean flashed--no FC's at all. Working call audio on VZW perfectly. Works with Adaway (provided you flash systemless zip with Adaway) and Viper4Audio Nougat.

Banks SDK25 Gapps is 7.1 (the only one avail at the moment as Open Gapps doesn't have 7.1 yet)
7.1 open gapps are out
Try nitrogen 7.1. Flashed open mini on multirom. Everything except developer settings worked - that's a known issue on secondary ROMs in multirom.

Chop chop doesn't work at all no gestures work at all as soon as you try to use them advanced settings instantly crash and gesture doesn't work. On lineage os for moto g4 plus. I have rebooted many times and redone the install and still same issues.

That is the ROM I am using also new bugs have randomly appeared days into usage, all text from homepage icons and folders have suddenly disappeared even though they where working for the last few days, also advanced reboot setting have stopped working and nolonger display in the restart menu when they first did work and advanced settings still crashes, I have completely wiped the handset and all caches and redone the whole install process and it won't fix those issues they stay the same.

You've downloaded the 13/01 build from here? https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B1ZbHDX3hq1yMzZaQThhbmphVEU
Also, did you wipe your system in TWRP before installing (so wiped Dalvik, cache, system and data, you can keep internal storage untouched)? Did you install Nougat before installing Lineage OS?
Yes
Yes it's the latest ROM file from that download location by that person. not sure if it was mm or N it's Android 7.1.1 know though not the greatest memory after my heart attack and being zapped alive 10 times.
Yes I did do a full wipe when installing I even did internal memory, one of the golden rules of Roms I was always taught.

It seems to be a launcher problem, use the one that comes with it and many errors appear like no text at all on screen use Google now launcher and all text issues are gone and swipe to Google now cards works perfectly, were as it doesn't in default lineage OS launcher. Icons are back with text and folders have text when in Google now launcher but as soon as I go to lineage OS default launcher no text on icons or folders.

Official lineage os is live. With experimental and nightly rom.
Hi,
Has anyone already tested the new offical ROM?
I've seen in the build.prop that again this ominous line "ro.sys.sdcardfs", which causes access problems on the SD.
How are the experiences?
Using it now and it is super slow on downloads even on WiFi, it removes the moto boot screen from non official lineage os build and now has lineage os boot screen it also removes the nogurt software buttons that are in non official build and replaces them with mm software keys. Has a proper ota updated now but that's super slow running at 200kbps even though WiFi is 14mbps, so far bug free unlike unofficial build.
Okay so I've been trying some treble gsi's and yesterday I installed the AICP image on my phone. I've had zero issues, magisk works, substratum works, the style option in settings works, magisk modules work, the rom is really smooth and has a lot of settings and the battery life is pretty good too :^]

Gapps: https://opengapps.org

Install process is the same as with any other treble rom.
Happy flashing!
edit: typos
Quick question... where did you get this? Because I never saw a AICP treble ROM thread. Anyway, that doesn't really matter. I have to give you my gratitude for sharing this ROM! I was about to give up and go back to the ugly stock EMUI.
I owe you one!
EDIT: It would be better to say in the original post if there are GApps included with this ROM or not, it would help clear up some confusion.

And there are no gapps included in the rom itself, I used the pico package from opengapps.

You can make just about any ROM pass safteynet by grabbing Magisk Root, and install the module MagiskHide Props Config. Then using the terminal commands you can install the Huawei fingerprint thus passing safteynet correctly.

Bugs spotted
1. Lockscreen clock sometimes does not show, along with the date. I don't know the reason why, it just sometimes doesn't show it, like when your reboot your phone.
2. Can't set duration for long pressing the power button to enable the flashlight.
That's all the bugs I've noticed so far.

Im sorry if this is off topic. I've had my opo since 2015, never rooted or installed custom roms.
I've lately been wanting some change, and lineage with microG seems like a great place to start my custom rom journey.
My only worry is that many tutorials for rooting/install roms seems slight dated or focused on windows environments, I am on linux.
Can i safely follow tutorials from 2014/15 or has there been many changes that i should be aware of when rooting and installing lineage with microG?

Hi
The way to do it is still the same.
Just be sure to use latest files (twrp 3.2.1.0 or newer and latest magisk for root).
Using linux seemed to me even easier.
The basic steps are: have adb installed on linux pc, then unlock bootloader, then install twrp.
In twrp make a backup and then flash roms and other stuff.
But as you said there are many guides how to do. Just search for how to unlock bootloader and install twrp using linux.

You can either use DavDroid (CardDAV) (search google on how to configure it to work with Google) or you can use Google's own proprietary sync mechanism which you can install through flashing Nanodroid (find it on XDA).
The old OnePlus One is quite a beast with this really effective ROM. It's faster and smother than my Nubia Z11 with Android 7.1 and even faster than the LG G6 on 7.1 . If It only could have LTE band 20 ....

This ROM is as good as a ROM can get. Everything just works, also the difficult-to-do-and-often-ignored parts like encryption. I don't even remember when 60FPS high speed recording actually worked on Oneplus one (yes, its included in majority of ROMs out there, but doesn't actually record in 60FPS but rather 30FPS). But even that works!
In addition, there's no random reboots, SELINUX is enforcing, security patches are up to date and battery lasts for 48h with moderate use. And microg is just truly wonderful piece of software.
This ROM is a wonderful piece of genuine professionalism that is truly hard to find.

It's just I can't hide some apps notifications from lock screen. But maybe it's oreo problem..

Get it from this page:

Download the standalone play store (the patched one) and flash it via twrp.

You need to login to official play store with your own account, and you can download previously purchased paid apps, and you can purchase paid apps you want.
With yalp store, i can login with my own account and download previously purchased paid apps, but I can't use that apps because some apps want to check license, something that yalp store can't do.
Just reporting in case someone is interested:
I dirty flashed the latest microg lineage 16.0 (build 11.3.2019) over encrypted microg lineage 15.1. and to my suprise everything went smoothly. Zero issues! I even have separate long boot password, and short screen lock pin. Since google disabled raw encryption commands in Pie, you no longer cannot do it easily.
But this thing just works, amazing.

Battery seems better, but I need to see couple of battery cycles to be sure. I'll report here in fews days!
I don't have any complains regarding performance.
Hi,
I am very new to this forum. I respect all you guys for your achievements.
This is the first time I have rooted a phone. After many days of trial and error, I was successful in installing Lineage 16 on to my phone.
My phone (Redmi 3S) seems to have lost root access after the custom ROM (lineage-16.0-20200902-nightly-land-signed) installation.
Is there any way to root it again without data loss?
I had rooted my phone with SuperSU after which I had automatically got the root checker app. But after installing the lineage-16.0-20200902-nightly-land-signed version, when I checked, I got the message that it wasn't properly rooted. Also, the SuperSU root checker app was missing.
I was wondering if it is advisable to go for Magisk instead of SuperSU.
Please help.
Regards,
Hitesh KH

Follow the official guide, and for the step 8 in "Installing LineageOS from recovery" changed "LineageOS’ AddonSU" by Magisk and reboot.
Thanks for the reply. I will try that ASAP and get back
Hi Noru29,
Thanks for the reply.
As such, I planned to do just that — a clean wipe (planned to wipe the system, data, caches, etc. Any suggestion on that?) and then install the Magisk and then flash the custom ROM again.
I think this would also help me hide the fact that I have rooted the phone. I read it somewhere rooting via Magisk can help trick the apps into believing that the phone is not rooted.
Right now, many of the apps decline services saying that they find my phone rooted. Meanwhile, the root checker tells me that my phone is not rooted — it almost says that it can't find any trace of SuperSU.
Thanks for all the help.

Hitesh KH

Clean Flash is the way to go. Magisk Hide helps hide root status from most apps.
I would also suggest Fork LOS 17.1 by Sairam. Its based on 4.9 kernel with a few useful extras not found in Official LOS(16) . Its undoubtedly one of the most fluid ROMs available for land. Stable and no glaring issues even though its only a few builds old.
P.S. Your custom ROM journey has started at a good time. Android 11 has already been booted in land by Sairam. Of course many bugs still to squashed.

Hi Noru29,
Like I said earlier, I'm very new to this.
I was wondering if I will be able to get the apps that I have installed on my phone right now.
Can you please share with me the link of Sairam's fork (if you have saved it)? Otherwise, I shall look it up.
In the lineage 16 version I've right now, I had to remove a part of the script. Only after that was I able to install lineage on to my phone.
Thanks,
Hitesh KH.

Hi Noru29,
what I meant was if I change the OS from the Lineage OS 16 to the fork created by Sairam (17.1) will my phone get back the settings and apps (if I take a backup before wiping) that I had downloaded earlier?
I'm really eagerly waiting for the Lineage OS based on Android 11.
Thanks,
Hitesh KH.

Fork LOS https://sourceforge.net/projects/te...ge-17.1-20200827-UNOFFICIAL-land.zip/download
You will need the latest Orangefox recovery in order to flash ROMs based on 4.9 kernel. https://sourceforge.net/projects/an...efox/OrangeFox-R11.0-Stable-land.zip/download
Android 11 based ROMs are some ways off from being stable enough for daily use.
Clean flash.
You can use Migrate to backup and restore apps+app data.

Hi amn1987,
Thanks for the guidance. I will try that ASAP.
By the way, I think I will wait for the stable version of Lineage OS based on Android 11. I will be using my Redmi 3S that I use as my daily device. I wanted to try LOS on my Nokia 6.1 plus too, but it has gone dead after falling into a bucket of water.
Wow, there is an app (forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-migrate-custom-rom-migration-tool-t3862763) for that too! ???. ? (https://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=7237343 tusi great ho).
Thanks,

As I said above it could be a while before A11 is stable enough. Meanwhile Fork LOS is great. Enabling Battery Saver cuts down on idle drain.

hi amni1987,
I installed this fork on my Redmi 3S recently. As such it looked neat, but I wasn't able to use any of the Google apps, including the Play Store. The main problem was the Google Play Services. A pop-up used to come showing Google Play Services not installed properly.
I was wondering what the problem might be and would appreciate a solution.
Thanks,
Hitesh KH.
