Is anybody using the unlocked us996 non carrier branded v20 on AT&T? It's missing one of their lte bands and I'm not sure if I should get it to use on AT&T.

Sorry for the "stupid" post (maybe) but I thought the S4 had built in radios that would work with different carriers?
I have a US Cellular S4 but need it to run on a GSM AT&T network. Does anyone know if I can flash the software or what to do to make it work?
Many thanks in advance
I wanted to know what carriers the At&t S4 would work on also. I think it works on T-Mobile but its GSM. Will it work on any other carriers? Is US Cellular GSM?

Anyone has tried using the G2 in japan before with a bmobile data sim?I am going japan in November....
I haven't traveled with mine. However, if you check the thread for unlocking, you can unlock the LG G2 for around $2. Then you can check KDDI, Softbank, and Docomo's bands online and see which is compatible. My educated guess is that you'll be limited to HSPA + and Softbank will work since they use GSM.

oic. sorry but what do u mean by one can unlock the G2 for $2? which thread are u talking about? TIA
Hello,
I'm not sure which model LG G2 model you have, but all GSM versions are very similar other than primary radio differences. Assuming that you don't have an unlocked version, you can unlock your device for $2 at www.unlockcode247.com .
Once unlocked, you can use it in Japan on any provider that uses a SIM. You'll most likely be limited to HSPA speeds. In fact, the Engadget review was done on an unlocked LG G2 in Japan.

Does this device contain all the radios for all carriers or is it specific? The Nexus 5 has one model for US and an international model. Sprint ATT and T-Mobile variants all are the same.

It can be used on different networks because it's a global phone.
However the LTE band is specific to Verizon

Hey, Im a newbie and I was wondering if I flash a sprint lg g2 with a t mobile rom to unlock it, will it use the T mobile bands for data or the sprint ones for data?
Thanks.
I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to unlocking your phone than just flashing a T-Mobile rom.

Not to be "that guy" but I'm pretty sure this goes in the Q&A section, NOT the Development section.

Long story short a Sprint LG G2 will not work on the Tmobile LTE network. Doesn't matter what ROM you flash because it will not work anyways. Unlocking the device is not the issue. The Sprint LG G2 doesn't support the LTE bands necessary for Tmobile LTE. Sprint LG G2 supports LTE bands 25, 26 and 41. Tmobile needs LTE band 4. Just buy the Tmobile G2 from Tmobile if you want to be compatible.

Flashing Justin's T-Mobile zip will allow your device to run on T-Mobile. However, our device has no T-Mobile LTE support, so you'll only get hspa. I also think it's limited to hspa+ 21.

Check radio bands, no CDMA, no LTE band 13 on AT&T version. It won't work.
Plus why would you want the one version that has more crap on it than Verizon phone? AT&T added an ad for DirecTV, ads on phones just sucks IMO.

I am currently on AT&T with a Galaxy S7 edge (GM935A) can I unlock it and use it on Verizon?
Yes you can unlock. First thing is to root it, and flash the all carrier ROM.
