I have Huawei p9 lite vns l31-c432b412.
I have unlocking bootloader, installed twrp 3.1.02 et supersu 2.82.
the super su binary calls for an update. when I do it, it does not work. After searching the site, I saw that version 2.82 was incompatible with emui 5 version 7.
I will uninstall supersu to install one of that in thus tutorial.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/root-supersu-2-81-emui-5-t3612258/page58
is it compatible with my mobile?
if so, does the 'unroot' of supersu works with my recovery?
I thought then flash supersu directly.

I think the very latest version is meant for Android 7 and not MM
I was in a similar situation as you....
I updated to the October security update. Re-flashed TWRP 3.0.2 r5 and rooted using BETA-SuperSU-v2.62-3-20151211162651.zip. SuperSU then updated to 2.79 through the Plasy Store and after a reboot I got stuck in a bootloop. Rather than restore my TWRP backup I decided to boot to TWRP and do Reboot/System and it's worked perfectly ever since.
solo reinstala una versión distinta de super SU
I'm on a B09, bootloader unlocked and rooted with SuperSU 2.65 A2017G.
Except from the 2.65 version, is there another one working for the A2017G?
I want to get Xposed and if I do understand I need SuperSU 2.75 or above to get Xposed to work in systemless.
If there isn't another version could you guys help to get Xposed working on my phone?
That would be much appreciated.
EDIT: Well I'm dumb, I assumed Oki's guide only worked on the A2017U variant. Sorry guys :/
If you have the official version of TWRP you should be able to install the latest version of SuperSU.
Yeah I figured it out with the help of Oki's guide.
Thanks for the answer!
I'm having a problem where many apps do not get root unless I manually open SuperSU, which means that most root apps are not working properly because they can't work automatically. Is there another version of SuperSU or TWRP that I can flash to solve this problem?
I'm on A2017U B29 stock, SuperSU 2.79 flashed from TWRP 3.0.2-2

Did you make sure to disable system write protection? Boot into TWRP, open up the terminal emulator, and issue the command: reboot disemmcwp
I'm having a similar problem while flashing superuser. The error happens after the "patching sepolicy" line runs. The error prevents SuperSU from being installed at all. Any suggestions?
You need to flash twrp 3.0.3 or above and flash SuperSU 2.79
Latest SuperSU Causes Endless Loops on the Axon 7
Literally, every time I install the latest version of SuperSU on my axon I get an endless bootloop. These are SuperSU files I get directly from chainfire's website. There must be something im missing, or maybe im downloading the wrong version? Im not sure i was hoping to get some help. I just tried installing: SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.
>> Can anyone point me in the right direction of the latest SuperSU that works with the Axon 7 that doesnt bootloop it.
I remember that the Pixel phones had SuperSUs that were made for it. I am wondering does the same thing apply here?
I have installed everything right on my phone to the T. Everything was brand new stock.

Hello
I am trying to root my huawei P8-Lite ALE-L21C185B525. I have tried all methods but haven't succeeded. (SuperSU , Kingoroot, etc)
I have unlocked bootloader and have also installed TWRP successfully. But when I install SuperSU zip file from TWRP and reboot, my phone stuck on Huawei logo (bootloop).
I also tried updating my firmware to B560 but my issue remains same on this updated firmware.
Is there any better way to root my phone or any solution for installing SuperSU.

You might need to install SuperSu in system-less mode. Check root tutorial form this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/general/mega-thread-root-unbricking-updating-t3400994 thought instead of doing all steps I think it's enough to install 1.zip then flash normal SuperSu zip (if it says it's installing system-less it works) then reboot phone, you might get 1 or 2 bootloops on first boot.
Try supersu v2.62

how to root your phone
Failed
This method is very dangerous.
You need to know the installation of Rom Huawei
from SRKToolHuawei or Huawei unlock bootloader
Even if the device crashes, you can restore it.
See this previous topic
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/help/phone-p8-lite-t3586427
Prefer to backup by recovery twrp.
Install root p8 lite
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeYiUMcfzek
download BETA-SuperSU-v2.62-66 with kingroot and recovery (Huawei-twrp)
https://up.top4top.net/downloadf-467rcvoy1-zip.html
Why should I install root kingroot after root supersu ?
Because root kingroot he stays after format your phone.
How to delete root supersu and root kingroot?
You Can delete root supersu and kingroot from
Kingoroot for (pc).
If you delete your root by kingoroot(pc) you can install any root and it will work immediately even after formation your phone
-(You do not need the first way to install root )-.
Like root king-oroot or SuperSU from market play.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.supersu&hl=en
and Superuser or any app from market play he's working immediately.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.superuser&hl=en

hi is it safe to root huawei p10 lite was lx1
with kingo root
witch is downloadable. apk file from their site
thanks in advice and have nice day
Yes. it's safe. I've used it for a several years on my old phone. But I'm not sure if you can obtain root on P10 Lite via KingoRoot.
The best root for P10 Lite is Magisk because it installs SU file in "/sbin/su" instead of "xbin/su".
If you're using Magisk you will have root even after OTA update!!!
If you're using KingoRoot, SuperSu or other SU you can NOT install OTA update, you need to install FullOTA and you will lose Root every time when you update the system. So, Magisk is the best ;p
thanks
magisk
that is good but can you point me to the exact and safe official thread for install the magisk
to avoid brick my device witch is huawei p 10 lite was-lx1 c432b198
