Hello everyone,
I have recently bought a used s7 edge from ebay and the phone is FRP locked. The phone is on security level 2 (G935FXXS2DRCE) and on Android 7.
Is there any trick I can apply to bypass the FRP lock?
Notes: Custom binary wont work because it will be blocked by FRP.
regards,
Sudip
Check out the general s7 forum . You have an international variant... Which has a different processor and firmware.

Thanks for your comment. However, I am yet to come across a post that guides us through the FRP bypass process.

My S7 edge is the exynos version (SM-G935F) and I recently rooted it so now I want to install a custom recovery.
I'm not sure if the bootloader came unlocked so is there anyway I can check this?
If infact it isn't unlocked can someone guide me on how to unlock the bootloader?
(This is my first time venturing into the realms of rooting)

So after hours of searching I have found guides for flashing custom bootloaders and custom roms (cyanogenmod) to s7 edge. However in further searching it seems that bootloader is locked and cannot be bypassed on all US versions of the S7. Is that correct? If so what S7 edge model can I get and use with Att in the US and flash custom roms/bootloaders? If not an option what phone would be a good option?

I think you should wait for the s8 or if you really wanna buy s7 wait till s8 is put so you can save 100-200$.
Rumor has it S8 Bootloader will be locked because Europe and Sammy pay.

This is a Verizon variant of the s6 edge plus and ive searched high and low, there are no successful rooting methods for this device. What makes this model un-rootable? is it the bootloader thats to blame? I have this model and also have it unlocked for any carrier but havent had any such luck fidning a rooting method, Does anyone have any info whatsoever in a root for this model?
I will soon receive a Galaxy s 7 edge with the model number G935U. I was wondering if this unlocked version of the Galaxy S7 edge will be able to flash any rom that is for the S7 edge despite having a different model number?

Nope, snapdragons have locked bootloaders as far as i know, so you cant flash a custom rom etc, only rooting was possible via engineering kernel.

Thanks for the response, so I'm guessing the unlocked model's bootloader can't be unlocked? I've seen a couple of custom roms for the other model numbers of the S7 edge.

You can check here for U model https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7...on-roms-kernels-recoveries--other-development
But there are custom roms for only chinese and korean snapdragon variants. I don't think of any rom for US snapdragon variants.
Btw, you can see if you have unlocked bootloader for yourself. Go in developer options and see if there is a option there with " Allow OEM unlock "

I have the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Snapdragon phone which I have seen on the xda site cannot be unlocked to root.
. My question is . : I have enabled developer otions and my oem unlock setting is not grayed out I can enable it. Does that mean I can unlock my bootloader and can root my device then?
. Thanks for any answers.
