Hello people.
I have a problem on my GS4, everytime i want to use the GPS, it can't locate me at all, it says : "searching for GPS signal"
Everything is activated (GPS, Data, Wifi) as it should be.
When i boot my phone, it finds the signal, but it drops it like 5 minutes later and the only way to get it back is to reboot my phone.
Any idea how i can fix this ?

Well have u updated ur phone firmware with the latest update which is MEA if yes after the update did u wipe ur phone?
Do a full reset from ur back up and reset all be fine and working as it's suppose to be

MEA is latest in most of the countries
U can get from Sammobile.com and flash using odin
but b4 that u also try and see reset if the issue is solved

u can back up sms apps using mybackup app from play store to ur sd card
and can also use titanium backup

Well problem solved in two steps :
1st : i've tighten up all the screws as seen on this post (yes it was for the GS3 not the GS4 but it was worth a try)
2nd : i've used Faster Fix
And now it gets the signal stronger than ever :victory:

Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my S4 i9505.
When I try to connect my phone on 3G or 4G, I have no data connection, I can't make call and nobody can call me.
In About phone > Status my network type is Unknow:0
If I force 2G only, no problem and earlier 3G/4G works well.
I try to flash stock firmware with Odin (HOME, Kernel, Recovery, Modem) but without success
My operator is Proximus (Belgium) and I'm in stock MGA.
Anybody can help me please ?

Did u try factory Reset after flashing stock firmware from your device
Yes with stock recovery, TWRP and Philz
I got no problems here got 4g in most of antwerp i also got proximus genneration connect and i use omega v9.1 rom and faux 009u kernel

2G / 3G / 4G depend of kernel or other ? Is it possible that somewhere there is a script (or other file like init) that cause this problem ?

Have you lost Imei/ issues with efs folder? These problems with network are common when the efs data is corrupted...
I don't had problems with Imei, but I have the same problems with the network...

i have the same problem with you, but i think no one in this forum can fix it.
After updating to the 4.4.2 my wifi passwords disapeared and i have to retype them everytime (!!!) i want to connect....
The same problem with 2 other friends with the exact same procedure. Anyone esle has this problem and how to correct it.
I thought it was a sychronization problem but the same problem wiht the the other 2 confused me.

I think the problem is because of updating the rom without clean install... Maybe a clean install will fix everything...

I've already fix the problem, i don't understand how i fixed but i think it haves to be about the accounts we signed on settings>accounts
what interest is my n9005 is 99% functional,
For to be 100% the mobile data must be switch on automatically when i send or receive an mms, but for now i'm glad to fix this issue.

The problem is pure firmware problem. Just update to the latest or flash a custom firmware...

I have a UK i9505 which was running XXUFNB9, I rooted using CF auto root and installed PAC man rom now i have no signal to make calls or texts i have re installed the original firmware but still nothing, please help guys, i need my phone for work and its becoming a nightmare.

ITS STOCK RECOVERY AT THE MOMENT BUT WHEN I FLASHED IT WAS PHILZ TOUCH (sorry about caps)

Check that you're baseband isn't "unknow". And check if you lost the imei

Hi man. People keeps telling you to install new modem, kernel etc...but i think you have corrupted EFS folder.
I hope you backup your EFS folder before flashing ANY rom because, otherwise you will have to go to some repair shop.
Well, I don't understand a lot, but I think you could check if you didn't lost your IMEI. Go on Settings > About Device > Status and check if your IMEI still there.
If it is, I don't know what could be. You could try flash another modem or restore a backup (if you have one) with PhilZ Touch but if it isn't, that means you lost your IMEI. I remember I read about that somewhere, that there is a risk of losing IMEI when you flash a lot of ROMs.
If you have backup from your IMEI, just restore it. If you don't, I don't know what you could do, but I guess you could still do something.
One more thing: Wi-Fi works?

Thanks for the info guys its really getting to me now, i still have imei but no backup, wifi is working as is everything else except signal.
I have been having this problem over 3 months now, still not haven't been solve.... My imei and everything is in place, I tried flashing stock rom, custom rom, factory reset phone, tried almost every modem there is and still no luck, but the thing with mine is when I go into the town area I get a few signal bars certain area in town, very weird, what could really be the problem, I know it's not my network or my Sim card so what could it be

Hey rumbo76 hru, this same problem happened with my brother with note 3, but in here india, he did tha root and falsh tha rom, then he lost root, then he goes bak to stoke firmware so he lost hus signal, and IMEI shows UNKNOWN no network registered, but he search his original firmware n falsh, and he got network n imei number bak, so plzz read n search ur specific device model number n flash, you will be succeed sure.. Hi,
I have a Lenovo vibe k6 note stock rom on Android 7.0.
Calls are working perfectly in Jio 4G (volte).
Recently I switched to Vodafone 4G (no volte).
When I try to place calls, the device is not falling back to 3G. I am unable to switch the network to 3G or 2G manually also. However 2G works when I change my primary data Sim.
I tried swapping the sim slots, toggling enhanced 4G services, restoring the device software, changing sim cards, replacing my sim card, the same problem persists.
I am using this sim with Lumia 640 XL LTE now. This issue is not present with other phones.
Any help would be appreciated.

Try to lock bootloader through adb and chek your country code

Hey Swarnakanti,
I had tried that and was of no use. I tried to reset the modem setting via fastboot, lost IMEI. Finally I had to reburn the IMEI and WiFi address with QFIL and restore the baseband. I've put the method for the same on a different thread, please share the thread with others too, there are a lot of people with the same issue.
