I have recently learned of the cessation of development of Cataclysm ROM, and this has made me think about the treatment we give to developers who bother to perform ROMs.
Since I joined XDA almost all the comments I've seen for the developers have always been very good, thanking them for their work and reporting errors to help correct them, but I also read reviews that they practically demanded it do certain things.
We must remember that for them It's not an obligation, It's a hobby, and therefore must always be kind and thankful, because they are giving us the opportunity to keep updated our phones.
If ever I have behaved badly in XDA, I apologize for that. And I thank you, again, that people here are very positive and for the support to the developers.

Recientemente me he enterado del cese del desarrollo de Cataclysm ROM, y esto me ha hecho pensar acerca del trato que le damos a los desarrolladores de ROMs que se molestan en realizarlas.
Desde que entré en XDA casi todos los comentarios que he visto hacia los desarrolladores siempre han sido muy buenos, agradeciéndoles su trabajo e informando sobre errores para ayudarles a corregirlos, pero también he leído comentarios en los que prácticamente se les exigía realizar determinadas cosas.
Tenemos que recordar que para ellos no es una obligación sino un hobbie, y que por ello siempre debemos ser amables y agradecidos, porque nos están dando la oportunidad de mantener al día nuestros teléfonos.

This phone is great but still needs the stability and support CM can give you to get the juice to this phone, which can still give more

The phones don't come with any previously installed. That's the good thing! Less bloat and so you can find the ones you like the most
Porqué no flasheas una ROM stock de Sammobile para que tengas el teléfono cómo salió de fabrica??
Es rápido fácil y totalmente legal sin perder la garantía ni datos dentro de tu teléfono.

Jajajajaja muchas gracias, que bueno leer en mi idioma! pues no quiero flashear, lo unico que quiero es saber si hay más temas que el unico que viene en mi telefono como predeterminado y el cual tiene el wallpaper de telcel, recuerdo que havia 3 o 4 opciones mas o menos en mi Note 7 y sólo queria saber si hay más, con una captura de pantalla donde se vea como son y el nombre podria buscarlos.

I mean i dont have official themes. I just have the option to go to the theme store in setting

Yo tengo el S8 de AT&T y nada más viene con el tema default de Samsung y el tema que uso actualmente es el Material Dark que baje de la tienda y le puse un Infinity Wallpaper (Los animados que tienen diferentes animaciones para la pantalla de bloqueo y escritorio) de Samsung con los que viene el teléfono.

Hola. Ultimamente he visto que varios dispositivos con el qualcomm snapdragon 625 ya tienen android 8 oreo pero tienen bugs basados en usar un kernel para una version anterior, asi que despues de mucha espera finalmente han liberado el CAF base en Android 8 Oreo para el MSM8953 en codeaurora y me he dado el trabajo de adaptar la fuente que ya tenia para que sea compatible con android 8. Entonces la base del kernel es: LA.UM.6.6.r1-02700-89xx.0
Y me acaba de salir, me he dedicado a llevar unos ajustes tanto de Github Xiaomi como de Jacoghi y tengo una base por lo menos funcional que me gustaria que entrara toda la comunidad de desarrolladores del dispositivo a mejorar, ya que es lo ultimo que hay no te preocupes si creará conflictos con el propio Android 8, solo debemos dedicarnos a solucionar errores. Cualquier persona interesada en ayudarme a crear una fuente sin errores envíeme un MP con su nombre de Github para agregarlo al grupo y modificar la fuente. Todo lo que pido es apoyo.

Por ahora ya tengo tanto un dispositivo como un proveedor y kernel que ya compilan, pero al cual hay que probar para solucionar los bugs que aparecen luego de compilar la ROM.
El dispositivo se basa en LineageOS15 y el proveedor es genérico para cualquier versión de Oreo, el kernel debería funcionar tanto en AOSP como en los derivados de LineageOS 15. Así que les pido su ayuda lo más cordialmente posible, entre todos podemos llevar el último software al dispositivo que ha abandonado a Xiaomi.
Todavía no he subido el código fuente del kernel a Github, pero este fin de semana lo haré, pendientes amigos.

Those 3 are the main developers for the Redmi 4 Prime and I'm sure you could do something great together !

Yeah I did check out his sources it's all from scratch, while there is no need for new sources we could just take Razziell's and modify them for 8 it would take less time even so I am interested in this. you can pm on telegram @psykkuno

I'm a bit on the beginner side about developping a rom but wouldn't starting from scratch sources be better overall ?
Taking Razziell's sources would be faster but as we all saw , all the roms built on those sources share the same problems and bugs.
In my mind, new sources means "tailored" sources but I could be wrong.

Sure it would be, but we would end up in the same issues after all, so we could fix them instead and make a complete N & O tree than making only an O tree, It would benefit both sides

Good friends I am new here, I have the model lex727 of usa running the version 5.8.021S and since there is no official support on the part of Leeco I want help to flash a functional rom and because there is so much information I have no idea how start with what I would appreciate someone to give me some help for the necessary steps and files that I should download to be able to give a new version of android to the device and that this I have better stability and updated system, apologies for the bad English.
