So far, everything works as it should so I'll label the update as "Mostly Harmless."
The bad news is this may push the next update, maybe Oreo(?) to the middle of August if Verizon holds to the current schedule of updating every 2 months.
Anyone tested this release to be sure you can downgrade still if needed? No anti rollback implemented?

It's almost the end of June and I still haven't had the Gingerbread update pushed to my Droid Pro. Does anyone know if this update still has additional rollout waves? Perhaps my company has control over when the update is pushed out, once it completes its own internal security tests? Either way I'd rather not flash my phone manually as I've never found the need to root, and I'd rather do an in-place upgrade that retains all my apps/settings.
No update here either :/ I'd much rather have the official GB update than the one that requires root
Good to know I'm not the only one at least
There is no final Gingerbread for Droid Pro for now (27.06.2011)
To make the story short - there has been no final Gingerbread for Droid Pro yet. Check the thread below to read more:

The version from this thread does not require root - it's a Motorola beta version that was released to a small amount of people.
Yea ive heard it was just a test release. Only small amount of phones got updated
Thanks for the info. Not having the latest software always makes me antsy, but in this case it's okay since it's not publicly available
I got the update last night sometime. I woke up at 3am to let the dog out and saw my phone had it waiting. Half asleep i accepted the update....
I wake up later pissed because im rooted and now im stuck in limbo again (this happened once during the last update sent out). Now I have to reflash my phone back to a previous stock OS and then reaccept the new updates.. yay lol
ok so i flashed back with an earlier SBF file and updated back to where i was before the GB update. Now i go to about phone and search for update and the GB update is not showing up
Has anyone received this update? My wife just got it tonight, and she INSTANTLY accepted it. I can't find a single reference to it and I'm a little nervous about the nature of it. Can anyone confirm that this is a legitimate version of the software?
Received last night, everything works as usual, security patch level March 1st
Also Received
I also received however, mine has Android security patch level 2/1/2017. Just letting you know your wife's not alone in getting the patch.
Its April and there sending out a February Security Patch, epic fail. LMAO LG
just keep in mind that this DOES patch dirtycow so no root will be possible.
Possible to revert to original?
Even though this blocks rooting, would it be possible to revert to an older update that is still rootable?

Click to collapse
No because there is no KDZ for an older version.
Hi, It's been a long time since Nougat came out, but on my Nova the version is still Marshmallow (EMUI 4.1), Am I missing something about the update?
Anyone knows about the update?
Thanks.
Mine didn't receive the ota as well.. CAL-L01C432B140...
just received the ota now..
Update gets sent through your carrier, so you can either contact your carrier directly and ask, usually carriers give a update schedule online, google is your friend buddy, use it
I was wondering how many and what updates everyone else have received and when?
I'm currently on the April 2017 security update and I received that in early June I believe.
I'm hoping Huawei can at least be excused by the fact they're working on an Oreo update instead of doing security updates and bug fixes (highly doubtful though). Mine is a Nordic unlocked model by the way.
So are anyone else receiving security updates?
Not here, in Spain. The thing is, I don't see any security patch coming till next EMUI version arrives, hopefully before the end of the year.
Not sure if this helps, but I found some way opening another security gap
As far as I figured out, you need 3 files for the update to work:
update.zip
update_full.zip (or update_full_WAS-XXX_hw_eu.zip)
update_data_full_public.zip
I am sure, FirmwareFinder or any other tool might come in handy doing so. The next thing you'd need would be TWRP which is available as some beta build somewhere on this forum. Then you'd have to unlock the bootloader and root your device to get TWRP on it. I'd recommend doing some research on this as you might have to get some code for "fastboot oem unlock"...
Flash the files listed above the way they're listed.
I'm not really sure if this is normal or not, but my phone seems to be still on the Oreo BETA and had not received any updates since then. I checked the Oreo BETA thread and there was a person that had already Oreo with June security update, while mine is still on the April security update. I wanted to know if I have to roll back to the official rom manually or, once the official Oreo is released (or is it already released?), does my phone automatically receive the official Oreo update even if I'm still on the BETA?
Hey, I am quite certain that the phone will get the official OTA to Oreo once it's available for your device.
Best way to make sure is to plug it into the PC from time to time and check what HiSuite says regarding the update.
I'm in the same situation.
I wouldn't bother downgrading yet.
