Hello all,
I am on stock Android Naugat ROM. I've just unlocked bootloader and enabled Camera 2API. But none of the GCam mods working in my phone.
Can anybody please suggest me which camera app should I use for portrait mode?

(Link below) GCam works, it has Lens blur option but not portrait..

Also, GCam 5.x+ require Arm64, which is not possible on stock ROM and custom oreo ROMs are not stable enough for camera stuff..

Is there some way to get the OOS Camera with working portrait Mode on LineageOS or also other Custom ROMs ?
I've already tried this https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/themes/to-tested-oos-camera-custom-roms-t3664284 but portrait Mode didn't work.

I assume from your question that making portrait mode photos (with bokeh) Is not possible in Lineage OS. Right?

The LineageOS Camera doesn't support Bokeh, and in the OOS Camera it's not available.

I am also using same rom and never felt the need of stock camera as arnovg2's gcam is perfect...from portraits to hdr+

Gcam is fine.
But i still need dual camera support to blur photo with non-human object (since Gcam only detect human in portrait mode) on Pie ROM.

Latest versions of Google camera require a 64bit device & rom
Really old versions of Google camera will work or check out this magisk module

If you are referring to official Asus pie beta release then its in beta , gcam won't work, at least till date it isn't working.
Wait for the stable release, hopefully Asus will provide the option to turn on camera2api
If you are rooted and referring to custom pie roms then wipe the system and install fresh don't restore any backups from previous roms even if its apps only.
If you had enabled camera2api earlier then try and disable that, and wipe data system and cache and install custom rom
This is all i can suggest, can't think of anything else which might help.
I no longer root my phones been years since I used any custom roms...
Hope this might help

Try clean flashing the ROM again.

Flash dotOS latest it has camera2api enabled nd inbuilt gcam
try flashing darkonahx or pbh kernel (latest) in a clean flashed custom rom (havoc, dot, liquid, aosp, etc), can help with battery and camera. If you are in pie beta by asus then there is no way for gcam to work.
Hi! I want to ask moto g5 32/2 variant users which ROM is better, I read that a lot of people says that pie roms are not stable but I'm currently using pe pie and it is working fine, the only problem is the gcam that keeps crashing(I'm trying to solve that).
Do you have stock ROM ? Pe oreo? And which is the best port for gcam ? I have tried a lot but all have crash problems
Should I go back to stock and enable camera2 API or stay in pe?

Why don't you check the thread directly above yours?

It's about the same question, no need to open another thread.

For Gcam are you using the apks by San1ty? Search for gcam apks that are for "potter by San1ty". And for night site to work properly one should install and configure an app called Kernal Aduitor
Go here.
EDIT... I can't post the URL here it gets blocked...just google "Moto G5 plus Gcam Kernal Aduitor san1ty "
If I recall my G5plus 2/32 was working fine with gcam san1ty for potter, on both 8.1 and 9. api2 enabled.

Currently on PE 8.1 and installed san1ty gcam 6.1
I was on PE 9 was working fine with everythiing, for a while but 1 day Gcam caused phone to freeze and caused installed rom to become corrupted and not boot properly.........so I reflashed to PE 8.1 and reinstalled san1ty gcam 6.1.021, HAL3 enabled, Kernal Aduitor
