Hi there,
I'm following this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1797334
The problem is that the phone wont detect the external SD in the clockwork recovery, so i made the wipe trough the internal SD.
It wiped everything, no problem.
The problem is that i cant mount the internal SD so i can place the zip and install it...
Ho should i proceed???
Thank you.
What filesystem is your sdcard formatted to? FAT32 works best for daily use.
Yes, it is on FAT32, but the phone wont mount it on the clockwork mode.
Worst, it wont connect no the computer, and i have no ROM on it...

What recovery are you using? I use CWM touch 6.0.1.2.
Have you tried sending over a rom with adb? If you have adb working, you open up cdm and navigate to where you have the adb files and write: adb push path-to-rom /data/media/
Flash a stock Rom with Odin and re- root

I had the same problem. I have the solution now.
The problem is cwm 6.0.1.2 - it does not recognise the external sd card and you are unable to backup to it as a result.
I have just reflashed cmw 5.8.4.0 through cf root 6.1 and everything is fine.
I now have a full backup (1.8GB) on my external SD card - which I checked by resetting and restoring.
The problem is not the phone, rom or card - it is CWM and you need to flash an earlier one that works via Odin. Hope this helps
The big problem is that the internal SD card wont mount on the computer, so, how can i put a stock rom in there?
I'm completely lost...
I have odin on the computer, how can i donwload the CWM 5 trough it?
Or the custom rom?
so you have 2 problems? phone doesn't detect external card and pc doesn't detect phone? please clarify
Yes, i have said that on the first post.
I have now the CWM 5.5.0.4, and it wont mount any sdcard, and the PC still wont recognize it...
does Odin recognize your phone in download mode?
Yes.
Having only the internal SD card, it says error mounting SD card...

the 2 problems are unrelated. Your PCs failure to recognise your phone is to do with drivers - you can try reinstalling Kies.
I suggest you sort that out first so that you can flash your phone via Odin.
well if Odin recognizes it, why don't you just flash a stock Rom?
The PC stooped recognizing the phone after i made the wipe.
Since it wiped the stock ROM, i have no phone, it wont mount the external SD, and it gives error mouting the internal SD.
How can i solve this?
I'll let you sort him out slaphead...I'll butt out cos I think we are getting mixed messages regarding the problem here, best of British....
There are no mixed messages, i have 2 problems.
I have already ignored the fact the the recovery wont mount the external SD card.
I want your help so i can at least transfer the custom ROM to the internal SD.

it seems he has possibly super wipes before installing and didn't put a zip to install on his ext sd card? Is that your line of thinking, because he isn't being very clear, but feel free to butt in, I'm not entirely sure where his problem starts at this very moment!
It was exactly that, i have used the Super Wipe from the internal SD.
I know i should have used the external, but it wouldn't work...
You know how to solve this?
Thanks in advance.

Yes! If Odin recognizes your phone in download mode then flash a stock Rom, re root with cf root, boot up and set up, copy zip to sd card, and flash it, you will be on a clean install any way, so no need to use that POS superwipe, so just follow the Rom installation instructions, and you will have the benefit of knowing you are running a nice clean install, then you can just reinstall all your stuff with titanium or whatever :thumbup:
---------- Post added at 09:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:43 PM ----------
add to that, before installing the Rom, format your external sd on the phone, and make sure it mounts and unmounts in settings, but anyway, doing it the way I mentioned you can flash from internal sd

Hello guys,
I have a Galaxy S5 G900T running the AllianceRom 3.1 made for G900F. I use an external SD Card SanDisk 16GB and since yesterday I never had a problem.
So, now I'm experiencing this error: "SD Card blank or has unsupported filesystem" on Notification Panel. When I click on it, android asks me if I want to format the card, I click OK, and at the end the same problem occurs.
Things I already tried to do:
1) I tested the SD Card into another Galaxy S5 and it's running OK without the problem;
2) I formatted the SD card (full format) on a windows computer. Windows recognizes it, and it's running OK;
3) I checked the file vold.fstab on /etc folder and it has the same content as another Galaxy S5 that is running OK the SD card;
4) I re-flashed the AllianceRom 3.1;
[EDIT 1]
5) Tried to wipe the SD Card using TWRP Recovery (as image 1 attached)
6) Tried to partitioning using TWRP Recovery (as image 2 attached)
[EDIT 2]
7) I bought another SD Card, a Samsung 64GB and when I insert it on device I don't get this error, but also not able to mount, it doesn't even recognizes the SD card.
p.s. I searched a lot on XDA, even on Google, and those was the possible solutions I've found, but didn't work for me.
Does someone experienced this problem and was able to fix?
Does anyone knows another alternative that could work?
Thanks in advance

Copy the content of the sdcard to the pc and format the card on the phone itself, that should fix the issue.

Have you tried another SD card in your phone? EDIT: Nevermind this bit
When you plug the SD card into your handset (do it while it's off) Does the SD Storage show anything?
You could try formatting it in another handset if you have the chance then try plugging it in.
Are you using stock Sammy firmware? Or have you installed a custom kernel? Could be one of those playing havoc with your device if so, back up and revert to stock if you can, retest the SD in there.
Test to see if you can retrieve data from the SD card, i've found that although SD cards show up in windows, when I attempt to copy data to the PC it fails, when I say fail I mean it stops progressing and doesn't copy, particular files appear corrupt.
You could also do a chkdsk /f /r via windows on the SD card, or even a general error check.
chances are one of these things will be the culprit, if none and it's still working in another phone and other cards are working in your device then i'm stumped.
Good luck
I would try philz recovery, i had all kinds of problems with twrp on my note 3 and s5 until switching. Not knocking twrp this is just my experience

I get the same problem: SD Card blank or has unsupported filesystem
You could try formatting it in another handset if you have the chance then try plugging it in

I formatted my device right now and installed Samsung stock firmware with stock kernel. I also tried to get back to stock recovery, then installed CWM and TWRP, but the same problem
I'm starting to think this is a hardware problem, because I tried everything and nothing happened.

Quite an odd one that, i'm a little stumped.
did you try error checking on windows? OR even a format in a different handset? OR a different card in your phone to see if to see if it reads?
On the other hand if the phone isn't that old, return it, 28 day swap should be good if you're in time, otherwise it's back to sammy.
sorry I can't be of more help m8.

Same problem with GalaxyS5 and 64 GB card
Have you found a solution to the OP?
I have an S5 too and it's doing exactly the same. I tried a 64GB Sandisk and Samsung cards, both work flawlessly in PC, MAC and even a different phone. WTH???? My 32GB Sandisk works well in the GAlaxy S5 too, I am about to see if it blends....

Same here. My phone already went in for repair for this and the front camera ring falling issue. Mine was preordered and shipped at launch. It worked a few weeks and now has stopped again. Simply won't recognize any SD cards. I tried an old 2GB, a Kingston 16GB, a Lexar 32GB from my GoPro, and a Sandisk 64GB. All cards work elsewhere, but my S5 never indicates anything is inserted. This is my first Samsung, and it might be my last. I never experienced issues like this on an HTC.
Any progress here? I just got a sweet 64g card Samsung because my others have worked well BUT...

Using external SD as internal isn't worth it, you'll have issues, it will eventually burn out the sdcard and then the device won't boot and you'll have to recover the device.
It's best to just use your internal space responsibly.
marshmallow and the inbuilt apps are using the whole internal storage.....so please suggest any method to adopt sd card as internal
i have tried the method of adb commands just like for galaxy s7 but it did'nt work.

First of all, I do not speak English, I'm from Brazil.

I could adopt my SD card with a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with Marshmallow (the last Note with SD card which did NOT explode) with the following procedure:
* download and install Android usb debug bridge on a Windows 10 laptop
* Connect Phone to USB, select browse files, wait for drivers to install (several minutes)
* Disconnect Phone
* Start Command Prompt at Windows
* Connnect Phone; select "USB charging"
* type in Command Prompt: "adb shell", Return
* type in Command Prompt: "sm list-disks", Return. Note the disk listed, for me: "disk: 194,128"
* type "sm partition disk:xxx,x private"
* disconnect phone, restart phone
* At the phonbe: "Settings > Storage > SD card > more > format as internal storage" ... Ok ... Ok ... Ok. This step seems to be omitted in most description on the web.
* "Settings > Storage > SD card > migrate data" (or similar, I have forgotten)
* restart Phone
... works for me, despite not always shown properly in the "storage" info. However, it seems to be used as cache for offline Dropbox files, and also accessible by non-root file managers.
Upda

1. Try reformatting the sd card via pc with correct format
2. Check if the card works correctly in some other phone
3. If the card gives you same issue in other phone then kindly replace it.
4. All the kernels out there are almost stable for daily driver now so maybe its not a kernel issue now.
5. Try flashing your stock firmware again, maybe it would work.

Hey guys, I've run into a little of an issue. I flashed various kernels on my AZMPM with stock android 8.1 , however none of them is correctly supporting my 64GB Samsung Sd card. It just says corrupted. When I format it by pressing the pop up,it says SD card ready ,but then again it says SD card corrupted. the first time I popped in a 16GB Samsung SD card ,it gave the same error,then I formatted it on my phone itself,it gave an erro,I popped out the card and popped it back into the phone and Voila! No problem! Everything is fine. However the same is not happening with my 64GB card, it just says SD card corrupted! fix now! I fix it then again error.
Please help.

Check if it is working in another phone or PC. If not kindly replace it by visiting nearest service center.

Thank you for replying ,but there is no issue with the memory card. I have gone back to stock rom plus kernel,with the 20th Sept OTA through TWRP file,now there is no issue with the card. Am I doing something wrong? I just flashed a kernel on top of the stock rom through twrp that gave me max clock speeds of 2208mhz on the bigger cores and 1800 something on the smaller cores. Everything was fine but the memory card.

Even i cant explain how this happens to you bro, but remember to wipe cache/dalvik cache even after flashing a new kernel or rom (not necessary for kernels but as a clean & safe side i recommend )
