remove google maps?

how do you remove google maps?
You need root access. If you have that you can delete it via adb or via terminal.
If you want to delete it because you can't install the latest update you need to do a "adb uninstall com.google.android.apps.maps" to get rid of the keys in the package file, after you actually delete the apk file off your phone.
If you have an original Google maps you need to get rid of the .odex file as well.

So here are the stuffs that I did.
1. I modded the AndroidManifest.xml and changed package name i.e. "com.opera.android.mini"

After struggling quite some time to get Spotify Kids running in the kids profile I wanted to write down my findings, as after hours of googling I did not find this solution:

In the parents profile of the tablet go to the securtiy settings and grant the rights to install apks from unknown origin to the Amazon File manager app.
Remove/uninstall GooglePlaystore and services in the parents profile! Otherwise you will fail later.
1)
Via the Amazon parents content management add the following two apps to the childs profile:
Install File Manager: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004VOBIE8/ref=pe_33573471_635671331_TE_M1DP
Install RocketApps: https://www.amazon.co.uk/KwarkLabs-RocketApps/dp/B088PVKBRB
2)
Transfer the 4 .apks required for the Google App Store and all other .apks that you like into the childs profile Download folder.
You can use the Rhythm Software File Manager's FTP Server capabilities or a SD Card or whatever you want.
3)
Use RocketApps to add the original Amazon File Manager app to be launchable in the Kids Profile.
4)
Install the APKs (this is where other HowTos suggest various other apps/file managers, but this did not work for me):
Launch Amazon File Manager via RocketApps. This app can navigate to the downloads folder and now has the rights to install .apks. Watch for the right order to install PlayStore. Then install Spotify Kids via .apk or whatever app you want.
5)
Add SpotifyKids to RocketApps. Remove Helper Tools from RocketApps.
Findings with my Fire 7 (12th Gen):I could launch the PlayStore within the ChildsProfile but I could not install new Apps from within the PlayStore. It stuck in endless wait while processing the installation.
@Squelsh Here's a link to a thread which describes the steps you can take to try to resolve the Play Store "endless wait" problem:
