so far there is permanent superuser and stock boot and recovery files, so has anyone created a custom recovery yet?
I've seen a post of one that works but no matter what I try I can't get it to work. The farthest I've gotten is a modified rom and bootloader.
any further luck on a custom recovery?

Every time I flash a CyanogenMod nightly I loose Root and TWRP recovery and have to reflash them using ODIN. Is this normal when flashing CM nightlies or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks
I guess if the ROMs come without root and with stock recovery, that will happen, that's what happens when you flash stock ROMs
I haven't tested any CM ROMs so not sure if they contain SuperSU and Recovery

Hi guys, I faced some trouble while installing xposed with my galaxy A500F.
Here are the problem, my phone keep on boot into recovery (twrp) when i flashed any zip files except the root file recommended by this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/samsung-a-series/development/recovery-samsung-galaxy-a52015-sm-a500f-t3360802 .
I have tried other TWRP and Cynogen Recovery which is still the same. This one from the link which at least let me boot into normal.
The only method for me to boot into normal is to flash to the stock firmware via odin which then I need to reroot, reinstall twrp and try to figure out is there any other method with.
Restoring backup are not working as well for twrp which still boot back to the recovery. Some flash files, which event better ( this refer to the deodex http://forum.xda-developers.com/sam...nt/deodex-deodexed-samsung-galaxy-a5-t3232134 ) which stuck in that samsung loding screen while booting.
Any help would be thankful

Hello:
- First, TWRP to use and it is the only one that does not give me trouble installing ROMs Marshmallow (as Resurrection Remix, AICP or CM13) is the v3.0.0.1 of mygalaxya (download here). Steps for install: here
- Second, if you are in ROM Stock 5.0.2 and just want TWRP to install Xposed, I recommend using the v2.8.7 (here) does not give problems at all, although no use to install ROMs Marshmallow.
- Third, it is not necessary deodex the ROM to install Xposed, since there is a modified version of Xposed that works perfectly both as Deodex and Odex ROMs, you can download it from here.
If after using TWRP 3.0.0.1 (or higher) and enters Recovery restart always, I recommend the v2.8.7 flash on it for a normal boot.
I hope the information is usefull. :good:
Hello all, I've been doing a lot of searching today to figure out if I can, and how to, install any custom recovery onto my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on Android 5.0. I want to do this so I can either install a custom rom, or use xposed. But now that I'm on 5.0 I'm not sure what's possible anymore. I can root just fine, but installing TWRP with Flashify, or CWM with ROM Manager just puts my phone in a soft lock when I power it up. Giving me an error because it recognizes that I've installed a custom recovery, so it just locks my phone. I've gotten out of this twice now but using Odin to install the Lollipop rom again. To reiterate, is there any way I can install custom recovery on this phone now? I've seen some conflicting things in my searches so I have no idea what the case is.
Thanks
If the phone has a locked bootloader, a custom recovery can't be installed.
Hi
I have an issue with my s7 edge. I am unable to flash any kernel, even if it succeeds in twrp, the kernel remains stock regardless. Also, i think supersu has caused the issue as I am unable to root with magisk, it says that the boot image is already patched by an unsupported program. I literally have no idea how to get rid of this kernel. I have flashed to stock with odin and also tried a full unroot with supersu. Is anyone able to help?
Thanks
Just curious, can you flahlsh to stock, root with magisk and then flash a custom kernel in Twrp? Have you also tried a custom ROM? Good luck
In twrp , go to advance wipe and check all boxes except sd card. Wipe.
Flash whatever rom you want. Boot it up. Then go back into recovery flash a new kernel and it should work.

Hey,
I flashed twrp and then flashed Magisk and SuperSu in MIUI 10.2.4.0, 10.2.5.0 and 11.0.7.0... After flashing and rebooting my phone was not rooted, I tried many versions of Magisk and many times. But didn't work, anyone have any working files?? And does custom rom/kenrel helps rooting the device.
Thank you..
you need to patch the boot img. you can find patched boot img for older roms like that
nvm i had 2 tabs looked the same
