Oreo Update enquiery - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

Deleted

I just received my update to Oreo 8.0 for my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S7. Software update information
Version: G930PVPU6CRE7/
G930PSPT6CRE7/G930PVPU6CRE7
Size: 1627.64 MB

I just updated to Oreo and I'm on Sprint.
It's nice and all, but App Notification Badges is very stupid now. The app on home screen will only show a badge notification IF the notification is CURRENTLY in the notification pull down. Once swiped away, the badge notification is gone. So stupid.

Notifications removed from lockscreen after updating to Lollipop

I noticed that the notification icons in the upper left hand corner of the lockscreen don't show up anymore after updating to Lollipop. On my phone it just says "Sprint" and I asked a co-worker who has a Note 4, and hers says "Verizon Wireless." We know what carriers we have. I would much rather have the notification icons. I looked through the lockscreen settings, but didn't see anything there. Currently I have to unlock my phone, then I can see my notifications. I did verify that I did have a notification which didn't show up on the lockscreen. Maybe it is just not something that we can change with the Lollipop update, apart from rooting it of course.

No ticker text notification after update to 6.0.1

I noticed that it is removed in 6.0.1. and replaced by heads up notification but not all of my apps compatible with that.. Most of them will just shows the icon without rolling text to show the message on the top of my screen.. Do you guys experienced it after the update?

android oreo dynamic/coloured notifications

Quick question, does anyone know if android oreo for the galaxy s8 will come with coloured notification bars for each app in the dropdown notification shade? eg red for youtube, green for whatsapp etc?
If not, would it be difficult to implement at some stage or is it too much work? Currently using material notification shade app on nougat and i've really fallen for the coloured notifications in the shade but I want to flash 8.0 in the next few days.
Thanks,
Barry

Flashed to pie, still looks like oreo.

I flashed my v350awm10w to v350ulm20d and I have the June 1, 2019 security patch of android pie. However, my notification panel, recent apps drawer, etc are all still from oreo. I'm confused why this would be if my phone says I have android pie?

Everyone said they wanted Pie. They didn't say they wanted different UI.
You got Pie.
I know we got pie but at least they can upgrade the UI, afterall LG send the update almost a year later, in a few days android 10 comes, its really dissapointing
Yeah the ui is the same
Not that I'm missing much though
Only change i miss is the volume bar being on the side instead of top
The pie update brought the option to show the notification pane when swiping down on the fingerprint reader, which was a very pleasant surprise

AccuWeather Temperature in Notification Area (Left Hand Side)

I have just updated my McLaren 6T to Android 10.3.0 via the official OTA.
My phone is standard, i.e. no unlocked boot loader & non-rooted and the update was flawless.
However, on Android Pie I received, via the notification area, an ambient temperature reading.
Since updating to A10, I no longer receive a temperature reading in the notification area.
I have cleared the cache, but to no avail.
Is this a problem with the AccuWeather app or have I missed something in granting the app privileges?
If there is a problem with the app not being A10 compatible, can anybody suggest a replacement app which will show the ambient temp on the notification area?
Thanking you in anticipation.
Nigel
