Nothing you are going to be able to do.
Verizon Droid Turbo 2 never got bootloader unlocked and rooted. The sibling Moto X Force, yes through the bootloader unlock code from Motorola.
All the dev work in this forum is for the Moto X Force.
Both are "Kinzie" (same phone series) but the Verizon branded one is totally locked down, thanks to control freak Verizon.

Hello everyone! im sure this post has been covered but I having trouble navigating around and finding the info I need. I would like to start by saying 6 years ago I owned an htc hero that I rooted and installed cyanogenmod on using xda developers. everyone on here was extremely knowledgeable and helpful so this is where I am returning to first with my questions and issues. here is my story.\
we ordered and purchased my mother a galaxy s4 online. it came from Germany. We received it already unlocked, rooted, and custom software installed
its one thing for me to start with a stock phone and do it all myself, but im not sure how to take this already modified phone and turn it into cyanogenmod or back to stock (without losing root).
here is the phones current info
Galaxy S4 Model Number: GT-19500
Device Status: Custom
(Unlocked GSM Phone - Hooked up to bring your own ATT phone Straight Talk Line)
Android Version: 4.4.2
Baseband Version: 19500XXUGNF6
Kernel version: 3.4.5-2434847 [email protected] #1 (Wed Aug 6 16:24:19 KST 2014)
Build Number: KOT49H.19500XXUGNH2
SE for Android Status Enforcing SEPF_GT-19500_4.4.2_0040 (Mon Feb 02 13:58:13 2015)
I am very very outdated on my terms and what this all means but very much willing to learn!! im exited to start modifying her phone and making it better as it is ALWAYS dying and im not sure why the company we bought it from modded it in the first place. I would like info on what was done to this (if anyone knows) and how I can either get it wiped clean (so they have no access to the custom stuff they put on it) and how I can install either cyanogenmod or another up to date custom rom, OR how I can restore it to factory rom that way I can do updates to newer android WITHOUT LOSING ROOT (if this is possible) all recommendations links and info is appreciated! I used to be apart of the xda community and have been out of the loop for a few years and would love to start learning again. my biggest fear is bricking or ruining my moms phone. she needs it for use everyday and I cant do anything that will ruin her phone (although I know all this comes with risk I trust the knowledge of most of the experienced users on here). her phone is an unlocked gsm phone as it is hooked up to a bring your own ATT phone Straight talk line.

Was sold a phone, that I suspect to be refurbished.
1. Any way to detect if its refurbished?
2. The IMEI SV was 02 out of the box. Does that mean anything?
3. Is there any way to more objectively check battery degradation?
Thanks in advance.
Battery degradation is always a tough call on anything out of warranty. I bought a "new out of box" and the battery has been excellent, but a Droid Turbo I bought refurbed had very poor battery life. I ended up replacing the battery on it, ant it isn't for the faint of heart. Everything is glued in on these models.
Go to about phone
Tap on the kernel version several times
Then check out all things are working fine or not ?
(CIT Test)

Couldnt get into CIT test, nothing came up tapping the kernel version, but moto has their own hardware/software test. Everything works fine.

Hey! There is a way to check your phone if its a refurbished
Search on play store "TEST M" app to test the hardwares are working fine or not.
I asked for help over at Howarforums and was referred here.
I recently acquired an LG V20 which boots as a Boost Mobile phone. I was told that the phone was originally a Sprint phone and someone tried moving it to Boost Mobile but it "failed". With that said, I was able to get it to activate on Tello but the phone is pretty buggy (cell signal dropout, wifi just quit working) .
My hope is that I can flash it ?back? to a Sprint ROM and continue to use it on Tello without the bugginess. I don’t know for sure that the phone was born as a Sprint device, nor do I know if it matters.
Any help would be appreciated. Below I’ll list everything I know that might help you to help me.
-believed to be a Sprint device originally. (unconfirmed)
-believe it was flashed to Boost. (unconfirmed)

If the LS997 had a KDZ, sure, you could flash it. However, your phone is ARB 1 and currently unrootable, so you are stuck with the firmware that is currently on the phone.
Boost is a MVNO owned by Sprint. That phone came with the Boost software on it -- no one hacked it on.
The LS997 is absolutely the WORST version of the V20, and quite possibly one of the worst phones ever.
Sprint deliberately screws with the modem firmware to try and lock the device to their network as much as possible. Due to their incompetence, they royally eff up the phone.

Hello,
Backstory:
My S4 just decided one day to turn off. Since that time the only response I could get out of it was the initial splash screen, then it either powers off, or, it will cycle over and over again (I think this is called bootloader looping?). I've had the phone apart and I've run the phone off of a bench power supply in order to rule out the battery as an issue. I swapped out the charging board and that didn't help. I checked the function of the power switch and still, no love.
In an attempt to continue to use my phone while I save up for a replacement, I was able to get a main board from a friend. That main board, when installed, runs the phone perfectly. With one exception. It is set up for Verizon and I am on Sprint.
I've asked the Sprint folks if they could write their ROM into the phone, but they tell me they don't have the knowledge / tools to do this. My belief is that they don't _want_ to do this so they can sell me a new phone. So, I'm reaching out to the xda community to see if you can help.
I have some problems with following any of the DIY guides on this board:
- I don't have any of the setup / phone details from the original phone since it blanked out.
- I don't know exactly which phone hardware _version_ I have, so finding a ROM that would be 'stock' is a problem. And, I was lucky enough to get this board so I don't want to brick it.
- In the end, I would be happy to root this phone, but I realize that I first have to get it back into Sprint 'space' first.
Below are the device details from the main board that I have working in the phone right now.

Specific questions:
A) Can I even do what I am hoping is just a ROM flash to this main board to convert it to Sprint?
B) Please point me towards getting the proper identification information for my original phone.
C) Please point me toward the correct DIY procedures.
Thank you in advance for taking time to read this.
