Hello community!
Is anyone here likes stock rom, but doesn't trust Google? Or simply hates that gapps are the top battery consumers?
Probably somebody heard of NanoDroid.
It's a plain PITA to install that on stock rom.
Took me more than a night of dancing with shamanic tambourine to make it work.
But now I got deodexed and debloated 47.1.A.12.179
Without Gapps, but with workinglay store, contact sync, apps that require services and maps with location data stored locally.
Battery life improved significantly.
With my usage I usually get 3-4 SOT.
But here... It's only 2nd day, means I am still playing with it and my results are already impressive. Take a look at the screenshoots.
If I will have interest and some active rom makers to help me a bit with building universal solution for G8141 and G8142, I will make it as ready to use rom.
That could be a really good option, hope you can still make improvements and want to share with everyone else
So how can we install this? Lol and will it work on turbo tom??
Xposed doesn't work after. 75 so how did you do it

If you find the way to flash xposed plz tell me that way
I didn't fix xposed it works with magisk manager.
Xposed get fix in m-rom but Google play services crash on v1.5
I'm in. Right now I'm playing with the VR... Built a Magisk module that enables Daydream.
Finally got it working on stock.
But I'll be able to help with the development of a de-googleservicer patch.

Hi,
there's been recent news an app called "Bump" (link to their official page).
what i don't understand is, how come does a friend, that has a same phone (t-mobile g1 from uk), same mod (latest cyanogen's stable) see that application in Market and i don't?
if we both search for "Bump", "BUMP" or "bump" or their project name "com.bumptech.bumpga" he sees it and i don't. now, the interesting thing, he got an update for this same app yesterday and updated it over market. he doesn't see new Bump in market (just in), and so don't i.
where's the catch???
can someone explain me this?
thank you for your help.
I can find it just fine as well... very odd... don't know what to tell you? Are you guys on the same carrier? Have you done anything else to your phone, ie Google Maps with Nav? A theme?
hi and thanks for reply.
i did installed google maps with nav. he didn't. i have default theme, so does he. i have adfree, he doesn't.
and yes, we're on the same carrier. ://
When did you install the maps with nav? Try the new update .zip in the dev section, it fixes broken markets and some other issues the hack originally brought with it. I am betting you added the maps with nav during the 18 hour, or so, period where it made it so market thought you were 2.0 as well, thus not allowing you to download/see apps not meant for 2.0, and it also made it so paid apps didn't show.
hi and thanks again for your reply. i installed the maps nav on the 1st day it was released. so yes, basically i think i installed the one with buggy market.
anyways.. i did what you told- installed the one in dev forum with fixed market.
sadly, that did not fix anything. i'm thinking now to reflash with latest cyanogen stable? maybe that should fix the problem?
what do you think.
thank you again!
hi. i've tried to search for the app today again.. and it found it. so i have no idea what fixed it all of the sudden. maybe it was that maps with nav update but it needed few hours or something. i don't know.
thank you for help pjcforpres.
I know the app itself is a bit useless but I have come across an issue.
When I run the app on a Rom such as Cataclysm or Purity the app works no issues.
If I run it on a CM based rom I will get a NEws Feed error and the only way to get it to refresh is either logout or sometimes go looking at my photos.
Anybody else got this issue?
Started using Klyph but I dont like having issues without trying to sort it. Have tried the beta, non beta, full wipe, dirty flash, with the same result,
Merry Chrimbo everyone
K
If anyone is interested have tracked this down to Xposed framework on my phone. When I run stock no issues with app. Install Xpsed and I get News Feed error.
Just found this on nexus 5 forum, I try it and it works perfect!!

All thanx to @Alcolawl
I just share it for all Moto X owners!
ah ha! I knew it. on the previous few ROMs I had excessive battery drain whereby the device would not go to sleep b/c of this. nice find!
Agreed, very nice find. I was super frustrated with my phone's recent battery life (<12 hrs). Trying to disable wakelocks didn't fix anything. This script worked and my battery life is much better now.
Thanks!
How to verify whether this is merged with moto X and available in the normal cm 12 for ghost
Does this inhibit google play services at all? Like syncing and backing up and android device manager etc?
And also does it work on CM12.1 with GPlay Services 7.3.27
And also I found this
Now I trying it...
The latest version of Google Play Services fixed the wakelock/battery drain bug. It's on www.apkmirror.com
I was having issues with stock Nougat rebooting, crashing and not being able to pass the SafetyNet. I was using three modules on Xposed. I was using YouTube adaway, gravitybox and YouTube background playback.
Once I uninstalled the modules and uninstalled Xposed..... The stock Nougat was running fast and smooth. I didn't know how much Xposed was affecting the ROMs performance.
Has anyone expience the same issue with Xposed on stock Nougat?

I agree big time unfortunately. I had those three (and others) modules installed and it would reboot at least once a day. I found out that Youtube Background Playback was crashing Youtube at startup so I removed it completely. Also, I've found that the only version of Xposed that doesn't cause the crashes is 89.1. So I've remained steady there, despite the newest being 89.3 (I haven't tried 90 yet). Hope this helps.

Since I wasn't using many modules I found a YouTube replacement and I can live without Gravitybox. I am using YouTube Vanced for rooted device and it's does the same thing no ads and background playback.
I was using version 89, but don't remember if it had .3. I used the installer to pick the latest one. All I know is that the ROM has improved in performance. I like the mods from Gravitybox, but I don't want to sacrifice performance.
YouTube was crashing at start up, but it was version 2.04. There is a 2.05 version, but you have to get it from the repo source, because it's not on the XDA thread. Once I installed version 2.05 YouTube was not crashing.
Besides not rebooting, Do you think you are loosing some performance on 89.3? Is there a way to pass the SafetyNet with Xposed?

I used this previously and stopped. It was slow to catch up with official youtube updates, and honestly, didn't work correctly. That was ~6 months ago, so maybe it's better now?

If you used Magisk to install Xposed, it was likely 89.3. I agree that GravityBox is awesome, but does seem to suck speed and battery. I feel the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

No of course not. Was passing SafetyNet good for anything other than NFC Pay apps? If not, the G4 doesn't have NFC so it doesn't matter!
Hi all,
Was just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue and could possibly shed some light...
Basically, Google Maps, Clock, Google/Assistant and Photos seem to just not work... If I disable them and uninstall updates and use the original apps they wrok fine. As soon as they're updated they just launch, freeze and then just don't even FC... It's really weird.
I've updated Google Play, framework etc cleared data on everything Google but still cant seem to get it to work.
I have s8 G950F on CRD7 firmware. (Official)
I have Ice box installed an running but only to stop certain Samsung apps. (No Google apps)
If I could, I think I'd rather **** Google play services off and stick to AOSP alternatives (if they install)
If anyone knows a good way of removing GPServ please lemme know so I can get rid of this crap if I can't fix it....
I made a regrettable choice of getting the S8. Hardware is great but software can suck massive donkey balls with its non treble ass.
