G935f/fd FRP Locked - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hey guys.
So a friend of mine got the phone samsung galaxy s7 edge SM-G935F/FD.. from his brother. and my friend hard reset it since he was going to use it as his personal phone.
but then it started. after reset he tried to setup his phone but asked him enter the email address which was previously used on this phone. so he asked his brother.. but his brother doesnt seem to remember which email or passowrd he used.. his brother tried to do the find my account thing but he couldnt get his account back..
so my friend brought it to me. and i looked up and did lots of flashing and followed every guide i could find. but nothing worked.
Phone info
Model: SM-G935 not sure if its f or fd since on recovery it says f.. but this phone was bought in india.. and while downloading stock firmware it showed up as fd for india..
doesnt have adb enabled.
usb debugging and developer options were assumed to be off before reset since when i asked his brother he didnt know what developer option means.
Edit: Accidently posted before entering more info
Android version: he said it was 6.0.1 when he got it.. but he said he updated but hes not sure.. i flashed 7 and now currently its on 6.0.1
Things that i tried.
Rootjunky: literally all the method there is.. nothing worked.
flashed adb enabled files but it didnt work out.. whwn running adb command it shows as device not found.
flashed stock firmware didnt help
tried to install twrp or cf root but binary locked.
searched xda for guides on frp.. but nothing worked..
tried the OTG cable method didnt work
i dd get a combination file from somewhere it flashed fine but it didnt seem to do anything.. same as adb error
dont have a bluetooth headset so couldnt try that method.
there was one method.. calling from realterm and adding it to contacts. which i was able to do earlier.. but when i found out abt the method to send messge to that number as google and opening that link etc i am not able to do that now.. since i flashed lots of roms over not sure which rom had that save contact thing.i did try to flash all the roms i had but a few showed sw ver error .. so couldnt flash the bl file.
also i need to try out z3x method.. which im doing right now.. hope it works.. but from how its going on dont think it will lol.
so hope someone here could guide as to what i should do to fix this..
i seriously spent over a day on this.. flashing over and over.. in that process i tjink.i flashed my mind as well lol
anyway hope you guys can help me
Thanks ^_^

Why not just ask the brother to unlock it.

Thanks for the reply.. ^^
WE did actually. but he doesnt seem to remember.. he tried to recover his account but he was not able to.. my friend did this before he came to me.

Confirmed the phone Model.. it is SM-G935FD..
it was written on the back of the phone lol.. *face palm*
also to note.. i cant downgrade bootloader eventhough its a unlocked phone.. so bootloader is stuck with 7

i solved it.. i think.. i will make sure and post back how i did.. ^_^

Yep tested it.. all good and working well.. even reflashed stock rom.. and its working as its supposed too...
as for how i fixed it.. well im nto sure if i am supposed to post it here...because it could be used for illegal purposes.. so if some admin approves of it.. then i will post here what i did.

[Q] Help a Noob please? Flashing the Stock ROM won't work

Hello, I am new to these forums as well as owning an Android device, and was directed here from Reddit when I posted my question there. to save time, I'll simply copy/paste my explanation of my predicament from Reddit, but if I seem to be leaving something out, please tell me so I can offer up as much information as I can.
"I've owned a Galaxy S5 for a little over 2 weeks, and for the past 4-5 Days, any time I try to Turn it on, I receive a message that says "Secure Fail: Modem", in red letters at the top left of the screen, and in the middle there is a yellow triangle with an exclamation point with the following text underneath "System software unauthorized by verizon has been detected on your device. please shut Down and go to the nearest verizon store" I'm 17, and currently staying at Governor's school, so I didn't have a ride until yesterday when my Dad and Uncle came to help me try to fix my phone. We went to the Verizon store, where they said that it looked at though I had tried to "root" the phone, which I haven't. My theory is that this is the result of a pokemon game I downloaded from the internet for an emulator. We Called tech support who couldn't help us, but after a little Research, I tried downloading Odin and flashing it with the Stock Rom, but every time I do that, I get the same Error message, regardless of whether I wipe the phone first, or Remove the sim card or whatever, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong and thought that maybe reddit could help me."
I've tried to flash the stock rom several times as per the following video: apparently I cannot link to outside content; however, the video is titled "How to Flash Stock Firmware for Galaxy S5 [All Variants] by Odin3" on youtube
if anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

I have no idea why your getting those errors. Somebody here will help you on that.

Restart your phone in recovery mode by shutting the phone down and then starting it back up by holding the home, volume up and the power keys until you see the blue text at the top of the phone saying recovery booting. When it boots into recovery use the volume key to select wipe cache partition and then press the power key to run that. Then select wipe data/factory reset and run that. When that's done select reboot system and see if it starts normally. If that doesn't work try Odin with the tar and pit file.

I've tried all of that, even the pit file, it's still telling me that it detects system software unauthorized by verizon, and I don't know why or how it would if I've supposedly wiped the phone clear several times over

I use this method and it worked great. I suggest you try it again, to include re downloading the tar file. Follow the straightforward instructions. Leave your phone connected to the computer even after you flash the tar. It will go through the whole reboot process while connected to the computer. If you still have problems, ask mrxtc (op). I see him all over the place and he seems pretty good at helping people fix problems.

everything I downloaded was from the google play store, with the exception of the "pokemon emerald" rom from coolrom.com. I hadn't attempted to root the phone prior, I didn't even know what that meant until I googled the error message. that actually brought me to a thread on this site where somebody had tried to root their S3 and got the same message. as for the model of the phone, all I know is that it's an S5 and that I got it at Verizon.

Other than what I posted in the recovery thread and what I posted a few posts up that's pretty much it. You could try the nand erase all and efs clear options, check the screen shot and make sure your check boxes are correct. Also if you didn't download the files from the thread I posted I suggest you do. Honestly if none of what was already suggested doesn't work I would contact Samsung. I've had and seen your error before and successfully reset my phone before.

i guess my question was how did you try to run the rom? its a long shot but thinkin since technically its a rom file maybe you used it wrong.. also, theres dev edition s5 and retail s5 for vzw so it does matter which model you have and which odin files youre trying to use.. since phone is less than a year old, id contact samsung if you cant get it fixed and theyll send you a return kit and reflash the software for you.. something similar happened to someone with an s5 active on att n samsungs gonna help him.. only reason he needs to send it in however is cuz there is no s5 active tar available yet for him to odin. you should b able to on yours but hard to fix without having the device in hand and u saying uve tried everything

I just downloaded it from the site I mentioned and opened it using the emulator I downloaded with google play.
how do I tell the difference between the dev and retail editions?
I'll see about contacting samsung, since I seemed to have bricked it.

theres a soft brick (recoverable) and a hard brick (not recoverable).. normally a hard brick your phone wont come on or go into any mode at all.. soft brick is when it starts up but either bootloops or wont boot at all into the os (like yours).. im just lost as to why it wont work! crazy.. if u got at vzw and dont know what a dev edition is then u most likely have a retail s5 so mister odin guide should work..

Yea man it worked for me too. If you can get to stock recovery or Odin mode you should be able to do it. Factory reset and clear cache a whole bunch of times.
Just wanted to add I had the same error recently and tried everything. Nothing would fix
Seeing this twice in just a few days has me wondering if VZW has something buried in NK2 ...
I just registered because I'm having this same problem and haven't been able to solve it. I've never flashed any of my phones until last night, because of this error. I followed the instructions in Misterxtc's thread, but no dice. Still looking for help.

Have you tried Kies to restore the phone to stock? Or even Verizon's Upgrade Tool (which also repairs)?

The only way I can do that is to get the phone to boot, which it will not get past the error stated in this thread: "SECURE FAIL: modem" I just tried to get all of that to work (sorry the late response was at work) and again it's a no go, I'm going to take it to Verizon, but I'm not optimistic about what kind of results I'm going to get there.
The phone came with the NI2 SW to begin with, and I tried to install that with Odin. gets me about half a second of the normal Samsung splash screen then straight back into the error, after that first boot, no splash only the error.
Thanks for the suggestions though.

I'm in the same boat. I've tried everything to get this issue resolved and I'm not having any luck.
Anyone know how I determine which tar file I should be using (NE9, NCG, etc)? I've got a SM-G900V and I think I've pretty much tried all of the tar files via this link - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784880.

[Q] Wifi Greyed Out After Rooting, Nothing fixes it

Hi,
I got a bricked Note 3 SM-N9005 from my brother and managed to make it boot with an OEM FW 4.4.2 from sammobile. Before that, the phone was freezing all the time and with null IMEI / unknown baseband.
Now it boots and was working fine until I tried to root with the Autoroot ODIN flash able file from the forums here.
The phone now boots, and works fine until I connect to wifi. First network that is connected works fine, but if it disconnects or if I try to connect to another, wifi gets greyed out and I'm only able to use it if I do a factory restore. Flashing the OEM rom is not working. I get the same problem.
Any fixes? Thanks

im not a pro with any of this but from my knowledge, factory reset ur phone, create back ups if needed. if that doesnt work get the latest firmware like nf4 or ng1 for ur phone which should work. then for root use http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/root-root-xxufnf4-stock-firmware-knox-t2840150 method of just going back to he old kernel which will not allow wifi to turn on so u will need data! READ the OP post. then ur phone should be working fine i hope. this is all i can say as im not any phone guru and just telling all that ik. and ive rooted in that way and am on ng1 with root with knox 0x0.

Nothing, I tried all the things that guy did and sent him a PM but he has not answered. I'm willing to ship this phone to a good developer here and pay if necessary.
Found the fix.
Use Root Explorer.
Delete the files below that are inside /data/misc/wifi/
wpa_supplicant (folder)
wpa_supplicant.bak.conf
wpa_supplicant.conf
Go to build.prop press menu and select Text Editor than find this line:
ro.securestorage.support=true
change it to:
ro.securestorage.support=false
Save. Reboot, wifi should be fine.

Grand Prime SM-530AZ (Cricket Variant) Bricked

Hello I was recently trying to flash twrp and I somehow bricked my phone and I've tried some things but I cannot seem to get it unbricked so I'm coming here for help thanks.
Edit: Correction SM-G530AZ
(I tried doing this half asleep)
The problem is that the 530AZ has a locked bootloader so your failing the secure checks. You need to download KIES 3 from samsung and put the device in download mode, connect it to your pc with usb open kies 3 and at the top click tools then firmware upgrade and initialisation. It will pop up and ask you to enter the model name enter SM-G530AZ and click ok, now it will as you for the S/N which is under the battery so have that ready before obviously then press ok and follow the prompts it will reflash the stock firmware. I had same prob. You are getting the error screen telling you that you have flashed unauthorized software correct?
Thanks for helping toxinburn. Could you possibly help me install a few things I fear I might brick my device again.
Just let me know what your trying to do and ill see if i can help

Could we pull up some live chat somewhere?
At work right now im in usa central timezone but ya later
Send a PM when available please.
Is there a way to unlock the bootloader on this varient? I recently rooted my Grand Prime SM-530AZ, got Xposed and the Frameworks installed! Then I got a little overzealous and tried flashing TWRP fr the 530H. That was unsuccessful and I had to restore to factory recovery. I am now back to bein rooted with SuperSU installed and Up to date. I am trying to remember how I got the framework to work on my Grand Prime SM-530AZ. But what I really really want is a custom recovery. And in order to do so I am assuming I need to unlock the bootloader, correct? I (think) I used to have an option in my settings that said something like OEM-Unlock and I had it checked (I believe) but now I can not find this setting anywhere. Toxinburn I know you are a very busy guy and you do a lot for the community and it is greatly appreciated. But I was wondering if there was anyway you would be able to help me out with these few things? I would even donate to you for your time because like I said I am very grateful for you and your help!
I believe xposed wont work since we cant flash TWRP.
Correct. I will follow your instructions and see what happens. Thank you!!

Well let's try two things
If your data is important to you try to install custom ROM via TWRP
And if not try to reset factory from TWRP
I don't think that you BRICKED! your phone
It only causes from flashing wrong model firmware
And I think the best way is install custom ROM(do a full wipe)(see completely clear tutorial videos to install it right)and after system booted you can install stock ROM again
---------- Post added at 05:10 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:07 AM ----------
If all the things go wrong
At if your completely know that you BRICKED it(that I don't think) you can easily request debrick.img and install it from SD card
So be relax dude
It would be great experience for you to save your phone

Running andriod 9.0, Recently i used an app from google store to put an installed apk file into /system/apps, And then I reeboted voila, The mobile keeps bootlooping into the screen where it says "Samsung galaxy s10+ Secured by Knox, " and the light of the screen dims,... And Restarts after a while.
I AM ABLE TO get into RECOVERY MODE. Tried Wiping data and Cache.
I TRIED GOING INTO DOWNLOAD MODE. BUT it doesnt work. Tried inserting the Cable, powering off via Recovery and then Tried Vol Down + Bixby +Power,
Everything, But wont go into Download mode.

I assume that you must have installed magisk module like app systemizer or any other like that to convert system app?
Just have to uninstall certain module from twrp using twrp file manager. Reboot it will boot.
OR
You can use read my thread in guide section " upgrade downgrade without losing data" i mentioned in detail and also some links to ready magisk patched firmwares.
New Weird ****
So Thank you so much for replying, It gave me hope , I went to a Fixit guy, He I HAVE TOTALLY NO IDEA What he did,
Since i couldnt reach Download Mode, I got him to fix it, now ...
I am running my phone. Everything looks good, The warning of root at the start disappeared and the software starts normally.
There is 1 issue. I am still unable to run samsung secure folder (type apps , i think its because i did once root the phone), Secondly.
I updated my Phone to the new Andriod version and it bricked again ? (got restored by the same guy again), So like , can someone tell me what might be causing this ?
Should i Enable Debug, Go download mode and Reinstall the Original Firmware that I patched before with magisk? like (I compared the Baseband version and Build Version of the new installed software its not same as my original phone ? Maybe this is causing it not to software update? )
I dunno The Sideefffects of once rooting the phone? I mean can i ever get the old default non rooted phone back? I hope you someone understands what im trying to ask ? Like Should i Default firmware it ? or just keep using it ? will i gain something? like Will i be able to update the software?
(NOTE: I dont need root anymore . Im done with it.)

Once rooted, secure folder will not work anymore. If you are using Android 9 then use custom ROM because there is fixes there for Secure Folder. If on Android 10 then forget about it and wait until dev fix.
And for other questions, it sounds like you are newbie and didn't know anything about it until now. I would suggest to read some article here, explore about some magisk that what its, Bootloader ... how to unlock Bootloader etc. Trust me one day you will become dev. Good Luck
What i am asking is, I think something is wrong. I cant use Netflix , It was working before (when rooted), So i want to know, Should i Use ODIN to Put my Original (UNPATCHED) Firmware in this phone?
And If i do agree to proceed, (My Boot loader is unlocked permanently btw in developer options),
I just have to put it on download, connect pc open odin add the original files and run it ? and when start wipe data and cache. is that is ? Am i missing something can you please confirm sir? and these files only right?
"AP, BL, CP and CSC (I also have HOME file should i also attach that?)
Can you recommend me a tutorial to follow via odin, Restoring my Original Firmware back ? In s10+ please? Ill be grateful to you.

You can search for combination file instead, I got those sites here and here from just typing "G955W combination file" into google.
If it still fails - Though I doubt - try this tool then, I can't confirm if it's working or if it's safe though.
Also code is encrypted so I can't confirm if it contains malicious code. So it may be unsafe both for your android and for your PC lol.
Maybe you can use it on a windows sandbox.
