can someone explain this issue to me ? whites look like they have slim diagonal lines in them and they make the screen look horrible, is this a software or hardware issue ?
PS : happens in all of the screen calibration mode but less in the costum one
PS2 : when i turn on night mode the problem disappears more or less

Looks like a hardware thing.
Do you have any substratum theme that could interfere with sysui colors?
factory reset. If problem still persist take to service centre.

Colors on my SAMSUNG Focus appear
Faded... Washed Out...
Also the Brightness is higher compared to my other SAMSUNG Focus phones
(on every single option...low, medium, high)
It happened some weeks after MANGO update
problem is, I changed PCs after the update,
so I don't have any 'restore' option now via Zune
also tried adjusting the brightness via Diagnosis app, didn't help..
tried resetting, didn't help...
is there a way to fix this issue or perhaps uninstall MANGO & re-install it ?
Thanks
Fixed it?
I have the same problem with my screen (Samsung Focus). My screen recently broke and I got a new one. After installing the new screen the colors look washed and more bright. How did you fix your problem? Anyone have any ideas what I can do?
can...
anyone help with this problem? Washed out colors when replaced the screen. Is it a bad screen or something needs to be calibrated or is the connector not connected right? Any ideas?
Sounds like you got a regular LCD instead of a SUPER AMOLED you should contact the seller of your screen to see what they sent you. Normally AMOLED will be more expensive them LCD screens.
I bought a phone but I have a problem with it performance. Screen is blinking all the time and icons are disappearing.
You can see how it looks on youtube hxxp://youtu.be/MdKJV-DL8Z8
any idea how to fix it? Is it soft or hardware?
Flash it with another rom - stock or custom , if it still blinking it will be hardware problem
Hey guys,
hopefully the right forum to ask this kind of question.
Got my Note 4 last week to replace my old Nexus 5. Frist impressions are quite good and the Note is just the phone I want to keep.
After a few days I noticed something when the keyboard is openend. On the left side of the display (see the attached picture) there is a light (and really really light) screen bleed into red. If the Display shows straight white I can't see it clearly. But every time the color is greyish oder dark blue (the keyboard styles of the AOSP Keyboard are perfect for this) you can see the color drift.
So sometimes I barely notice it, and somethimes I am going crazy
Bin since "What has been seen, can never be unseen" it starts to bug me more every time I notice it..
I dont think that I can replace the phone (like amazon would - damn me, I should have buyed it there), I need some kind of fix (eye replacement?).
Is there any chance of adjusting the display settings only partially on the display? (I really don't think so - but desperate times need desperate questions )
The other thing would be: I tried using the App Display Adjuster an changed the white into a very cold one (mainly by increasing green und blue) - does anyone know what kind of battery drainage this app causes?
Thanks from munich!
Bastian
Edit: I tried to photograph the bleed, but it's that small that most monitors (just 3 out of 5 - all of which have a "warmer" display white point show it perfectly.) won't show my bleed (which leads to the conclusion: I AM crazy).
When I want to open camera from the locked screen , in 50 percent of cases , i get white screen .
Only I have this problem ? Maybe , you have the way to fix this ?:crying:
The same. I observe this issue from the start. And it keeps happening on December update.
Yes same issue and I thought I was the only one having it.
I had this issue because I had multiple camera apps installed and none was default selected. Once I selected default camera app then no more white screen.
Hello guys. Yesterday something wrong with the phone started to happen. During use, the image began to change colors to a pink tint. First I thought that I accidentally turned on the color correction mode for people with visual impairments, but the reality turned out to be sadder. After half an hour the display began to work like a kaleidoscope (after several turn-on / off of the screen with the power key), as I understand it - it's a problem with the display matrix.
This morning the kaleidoscope mode has disappeared, but the image has the same pink tinge. After a few inclusions / shutdowns - the screen earned normal... Someone heard about something like that? Maybe with a loop of the display problem?
Falls certainly did not precede, the phone externally in perfect condition.

Could potentially be a loose display cable as well.
