com.android.phone has stopped - Droid Turbo 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi! My brother has this phone (X Force) and he gets "com.android.phone has stopped" errors every ~6 months. The phone is unusable in this state (this error appears constantly).
Question: have you had this issue or know how to fix it?
Only full wipe helps, clearing phone system apps does not help. I would flash unofficial ROM, but I'm not sure if it will be stable enough for my brother.
Thanks a lot!
It's 25.221.9 OS version (Android 7.0, security: 1 Oct 2017)

com.android.phone stopped working... ?

Hello XDA.
I'm using Cyanogenmod 7.0.3 for almost a month now, and I upgraded my radio to 7.13.35.05 to fix my GPS issues. The phone worked fine for a full month, until now. Suddenly I'm greeted with the message "com.android.phone has stopped working, please try again." every 5 seconds. The phone app itself works fine, but I seem to have no service. I have a shortcut to the page "Phone info" where I noticed something weird. The button "Turn off radio" has changed into "Turn on radio" and the network mode is "(unknown)". Rebooting didn't fix anything, neither did pulling the battery out and booting like that.
What could I do ? I'm considering a full factory reset but I'll need to back up my contacts and messages first... which is going to take a long while with the error popping up every 5 seconds !
Edit1: Flashing radio 7.08.35.21 right now... Maybe this fixes the issues
Edit2: Flashing the radio didn't help. Now I'm going to flash 7.0.3 over the current one, hoping it would fix something without losing my data... I do have a nandroid backup left, but it's very old...
Edit3: Is this forum dead or something ?
Edit4: Factory Reset did the trick. This topic can be closed.

[Q] com.android.phone has stopped

Hello,
I'm currently running Xylon - May 15th build and Franco Kernel 137 and May 15 Banks GAAPS.
I cannot receive phone calls, as soon as the phone starts to ring I get com.android.phone has stopped notice.
I can make calls but the com.android.phone service stops immediately after I hang up.
I tried changing Kernels from Franco M2 to 134 to 135, 136 and 137 but the issue persists
I updated from May 9th Xylon to May 15th and no dice still.
Wipe Dalvik/Cahe and all that stuff.
Changed GAAPS versions.
Nothing seems to fix it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
All better
Nevermind folks.
I fixed it by doing a factory reset (boo!) , reinstalling newest Zylon, Flashing Newest Official GAAPS and reinstalling newest Franco.
Not the route I wanted to go but if it works, it works.

[Q] I9505 Lollipop - no internet - tons of "stopped" errors - Recovery: No Command!

[Q] I9505 Lollipop - no internet - tons of "stopped" errors - Recovery: No Command!
Hello again! After my wifi problem on Kitkat which was solved by reflashing several times (as suggested by a forum user ) I tried flashing to lollipop (5.0.1) which worked out perfectly, no problem this time. I flashed lollipop and rooted on friday and during the whole weekend everything worked perfectly. The phone was fast and smooth, no lags and no errors.
Today I woke up and as soon as I tried to use the phone I got tons of "unfortunately stopped" error messages. Things that give the error: Youtube, gmail, google, play store, bluetooth, samsung account, and a long etc. the camera does not work either and I can't connect to internet using WIFI nor mobile data.
As soon as I dissable mobile data and WIFI the errors go away, and everything seems ok. but of course without camera nor internet which makes my phone useless. (can only receive phone calls, which I tested)
EDIT: Seems like I found another Symptom/Error: I can't see the files in my Sd card nor the internal storage since I'm on a "fresh" factory reset System I only have access to the built in "My FIles" app and it shows "No files" on the internal storage, and does not even show the external sd card. I tried using an OTG cable (Which worked fine before all this happened) and it recognizes there is a usb drive connected but "My Files" shows the same: "No Files" even though the usb stick works fine and has several files.
Searched the forum but could not find this particular problem where all the errors come from turning on any kind of internet access (which does not work anyway, since besides the errors I can't connect to internet neither on wifi nor using mobile data)
I tried Factory Reset twice and as soon as it starts reinstalling the "system" I start getting those same tons of errors and If I try using my wifi password to connect to internet it can't go past the samsung account or google account step, it stays there giving errors on a loop. So I try setting up the wifi "Later" and it's able to complete the factory reset, but without fixing anything. No camera, no wifi, no mobile data, as as soon as I try to connect to the internet I start getting all those error and almost any imaginable app (of the freshly factory reseted S4)
I think I'll try reflashing it as soon as I get home from work, but would it help???
Any ideas?? has someone else had this problem before?
If reflshing does not work could I try downgrading to kitkat?
Did my phone died this time for ever???

[BUG] Pegegrine ROM pa_peregrine-5.1-20150704 causes "encryption unsuccessful" error

[BUG] Pegegrine ROM pa_peregrine-5.1-20150704 causes "encryption unsuccessful" error
Hi all,
Phone = Moto G LTE (peregrine, xt1045)
Recovery used: TWRP 2.8.7.0 with encryption support; I also tried the one that does not mention encryption support (found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/4g-development/collection-somcom3xs-experimental-corner-t2996266
Roms tried:
- pa_peregrine-5.1-20150619 (success)
- pa_peregrine-5.1-20150704 (fail)
My first PA ROM on this phone was pa_peregrine-5.1-20150619, which worked fine. I received the OTA for pa_peregrine-5.1-20150704, but after the reboot, I got an "Encryption Unsuccessful" error, which suggested resetting the phone would fix it (a "reset phone" button was shown). I tried resetting via TWRP, and the aforementioned presented button; nothing worked, I would always go to the same error.
If I return to the previous ROM pa_peregrine-5.1-20150619, the phone works fine. This seems to be a bug with the newer ROM, since the older one works fine, with a full device reset.
Let me know if there is any further info I can provide.
Another person in the Google+ page has had the same issue, and no one has given an explanation (as in, is this a bug? It seems to be, since it only affects a specific ROM version).
I'm not sure what else I can do to help, since the Legacy PA doesn't seem to have an official bugtracker?
You can contact the maintainer since PA only builds what the maintainer has pushed to github

Good day, This is my first time ever posting a thread on this site and new to custom ROMs on Android devices. I currently have Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (T-Mobile) and a friend suggest I flash it with some custom ROMs. I did, indeed, tried all the compatible ROMs for this phone and they all boot up find (despite the long hang time after finishing the boot setup), but I ran into some problems after doing everything, step-by-step, correctly. I've done light research on how to fix these issues but was afraid if my phone may brick again and do another Emergency Recovery using Samsung Smart Switch. To get to the point, the following issues that are occurring are these below,
- WiFi continuously says "Wifi turning on" and never stops
- Settings will sometimes crash when entering "Security" and then backing out of it
- Camera quality remains blur and can't find any settings to get the camera to focus properly
- LTE/Mobile Data does not apply on boot (when restarting or turning it on) and it requires to fully reboot again
- Uninstalling a application forces the phone to do a soft reboot
- Sometimes multiple background apps will pop-up a error message stating, "Unfortunately, (App) has stopped"
I currently have the Resurrection Remix v5.7.1 (which is the latest I've found) build on the phone, but at the moment using Stock Marshmallow as I'm witting this. If there is anyone on the forums that can help me resolve these issue so i can have a stable flashed ROM, I would greatly appreciated the help. Thanks for your time and have a bless day.

Did you have all of these issues on every ROM that you flashed or just a specific ROM?
