Unfortunately if you want root you'll have to keep TWRP on your phone as the stock kernel panics when dm verity gets triggered and thus creates a bootloop. So in order to use a stock rom you'll have to A) find a custom kernel that supports stock rom and disables dm verity. Or B) just use a stock rom all together. (Full kdz flash) Or C) obviously stay with custom roms but I figured you'd want an answer to the specific problem.

How do I flash a kdz file? I must be doing something wrong cause it keeps booting to twrp.

[Q] LG G2 brick after change build.prop

I rooted the phone, everything was going good. I was playing with Exposed and I wanted to remove soft keys. I found a post to edit build.prop and I did not back up build.prop before i tried to edit it and all went all from there.
Now When i turn it on i get it booted up but it says unfortunately androidsystem.ui has stopped and wont go any farther,
I am running 4.4.2 stock rom, After this I did a factory reset hoping this to fix the problem...This did not fix it lol.
I am afraid I can not ADB it now as I do not have developer options and USB debugging....
Anyway to edit Build.prop from the computer?
if not how do i fix this?
Thank you!

First off, brick means it's as functional as a fired clay brick.
Second. ADB from recovery. If you don't have a custom recovery, factory reset.

I don't think a factory reset would help since it only wipes data and cache. He said he already tried one without success.
If you have a custom recovery installed, you have a couple of options. If adb is working, you can pull/push a fixed build.prop. Or you could find a stock build.prop and create a flashable zip for it.
If you don't have a custom recovery, as far as I know you're pretty much stuck having to flash a factory image, which means you'll lose all your data because your internal storage will be wiped.

I do not have a custom recovery as I rooted 4.4.2 and as far as I know you can not have recovery with 4.4.2 root unless you downgrade to 4.2 first, root then update, Correct?
I was wondering, Can i install custom recovery now?
Keep in mind this is my second LG G2, The first one I COMPLETELY bricked it and it wont power on, no LG image, No charge, no download mode nothing. I do not want that again as it is a paper weight now lol.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
Would this be the process I would go with?
Thanks to everyone for the help....I hope to have my phone back up and running soon!

I have the Verizon version so I can't speak for others, but you only need to downgrade to the 4.2 bootloader to install the recovery and then you can go back to the 4.4 bootloader. I used AutoRec which does it all for you automatically. But at this point I don't think you'll be able to flash a custom recovery, as you either need adb access or the ability to install an apk.
Here's the guide for flashing the factory images: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
I suggest trying the TOT method first if your variant is supported
Thank you,
I believe I will trade to flash stock rom again and root from 4.4.
Wish me luck.
As i look into the TOT flash procedure I am wondering what Variant the D803 is....
I have a Telus LG G2 and I believe it is the D803....
It is fixed everyone. Thanks to everyone who helped.

Stuck in TWRP after pushed upgrade 28s

This morning I my phone pesented itself in TWRP.
Maybe this is because over the past days I repeatedly got notifications that a system upgrade wanted to install itself (I have a modified 26s X720 from Tora33).
I rejected those notifications.
Now I am stuck in TWRP and I cannot get around it. What I tried:
Reinstalling previous firmware (Tora33 26s) still on the phone
Restoring a TWRP backup from 6 months ago (TWRP didn't see it, maybe it's from a previous TWRP version, I now have v. 3.1)
Flash via fastbood factory image using Mauro's Tool All In One (error message "can't find file mke2fs.conf")
Wipe data, cache, dalvik cache, system; then install Mauro_V2.2 cleansed 23s firmware which I transferred to the phone
Every time it boots up in TWRP.
Your bricked you never flash ota with twrp you should read before doing anything.
The only thing that can help is ofil.
I suggest you study well before trying it.

Oh boy. Thanks anyway. OTA flashed itself, couldn't stop it. Maybe I made it worse by trying to fix.
The bootloader is not locked according to the AIO tool. I can flash succesfully any firmware, only after flashing the phone will still boot in TWRP. It is strange it still boots in TWRP. Is there no simpler trick like flashing the standard recovery and then flashing OFW?
You mention Ofil; do you think the guide described here work?

Yes, that QFIL guide is for the x720.
In my opinion, the best way to return stock is to push update.zip into phones main folder, then install stock recovery, then in this one install update zip then check that OS is working. If it is, then go into twrp and wipe. Can't do it?
I'll mention myself;

No brick after OFW push 28s
The pushed (unvoluntary) update didn't brick my phone after all. This may be important for those that have modified stock ROMs with TWRP.
Not being able to restore OFW was a bug in Mauro's All-in-One tool which he fixed last night. After I could easily flash 20S or 26S stock from his repository. I would also recommend this as safest/easiest procedure. Afterwards you can just flash TWRP from the same tool and move from there.
By the way, immediately after flashing 20s the FW notified it wanted to update itself, again!

Need V20 H918-10P boot.img

Hi guys i am in terrible need of some guidance and help. i cant find a boot.img for the h918
I installed TWRP, and successfully rooted with magisk, but upon updating magisk through the app installed with magisk, now my phone is stuck on the fastboot. 'fastboot reboot' command just restarts it, and its right back to fastboot. i cant get out of it no matter what i do. i can reach the TWRP screen by pressing vol up + insert usb, but i cant install a previous magisk version because i get error 1. i dont know how to reach the download mode to flash a stock kdz, because when i try reaching it it goes back to TWRP menu. I have tried flashing the magisk uninstaller.zip but i cant flash it because it gives me error 1. My only option is flashing a stock boot.img for H91810P.
I actually managed to root successfully, and everything was working fine, until i updated the magisk from v16.0 to v18.0 through the app in the phone, then stuck at boot. I can still access TWRP menu, but not the download mode (i dont know how, with TWRP installed).
i dont know what to do this is my only phone and i work with my phone.
MAIN PROBLEMS:
Relentlessly Stuck at fastboot after installing magisk with TWRP then stupidly upgrading Magisk through the magisk app.
Please Help , I would owe you my life.
Why don't you have a TWRP backup?
Anyway, you can download any H918 ROM zip, extract it, and it will have a boot image.

Just look in the ROMs section and pick any ROM for the H918. If you were on Oreo, be sure to download an Oreo based stock ROM .. if Nougat, then grab a Nougat ROM.

Hey Brain i actually don't know how to proceed even with the boot image what should i do next in my current situation?
If you have the boot.img file, copy it to the storage (internal or external aka microSD), then use TWRP to flash it - you'll have to tap the Image file button to make TWRP load .img files instead of the traditional .zip ones after which you should be able to select the boot.img file and then you select the partition to flash it to. Obviously take your time and GO SLOW during this and make sure you're selecting the right items. If you make a booboo and flash the boot.img to any of the other partitions you're gonna brick the device and have a hard time getting it functional again more than likely.
This is flashed direct install in magisk right?

How do you return Phone COMPLETELY to stock?

I have my H910 Variant Of the LG V20, but it is running a Rooted Oreo Stock with twrp and the booting takes a couple of minutes due to a glitched startup. Does anyone know how to return it to normal Nougat Stock with none of that on it?

It is the bootloader logo or the bootanimation? If its the former, flash a US996/H915 KDZ, redo dirtySanta and try again, you might've had a bad flash. If its the latter, use the key combo to factory reset.

LGUP dumps are fastboot flashable images, use package_extract_file in the update script to flash each individual partitions. Alternatively, use DD to flash every partitions aside from aboot, reboot to fastboot and flash aboot from there.

Take the flashable you downloaded, open it up. There's an updater script in there telling TWRP how to flash the file. Copy the syntax and modify it to your own dumps, then finally zip it up.

[Solved] LG G4c H525n twrp bootloop

Problem caused: Factory reset in custom ROM, causing the phone to boot into twrp (even when plug in charger)
Method: refer to post #6 below
Anghirrim_shared_drive (Maintained by Anghirrim)
OP: Tried to perform a factory reset on LOS 14.1, it didn't go as plan. The phone boots into twrp, after I tried to flash LOS 14.1 over MM_rootable. The phone keeps booting into twrp, even though there is a ROM installed.
I assume I messed my boot partition tho?
Did more searching on this issue, from other model of phone also experiencing similar issue. It was a twrp bootloop.
my best bet is to grab a boot.img and flash it.
@Anghirrim sorry to interupt you, but do you have any method for fixing this?
Currently stuck at twrp. even I tried to boot into system/ download mode/ bootloader etc. It just bring me back to twrp. Couldn't use LGUP becoz I can't get into download mode. now I stuck with a phone with only twrp.
Tried flashing MM_flashable and return flashed successfully, but still boot into twrp.
Edit: Tried to plug my phone into a charger, brings me into twrp

Hi, did you try to factory reset it under stock flashable firmware ? Because if you did so, it will bootloop into TWRP trying to reach stock recovery.
