Durability???
First smashed screen on my HTC U12+ after one week. Dropped it from 2 feet onto a wooden floor and it landed on it back but is still smashed. I had put the HTC provided case on the device but still......
The HTC case does not protect the phone as it exposes the edges for Edge Sense use but leaves them bare. With an edge to edge screen I expect that we will see many more screens smashed in this model/case than previous.
I am pretty disappointed with the result and warn all to invest in a case that provides allround protection and do not use the HTC provided case.
I started using HTC phones in 2009 and I think I am done...
all i can say is im glad to be back on teamHTC again, only problem is the back of the phone is very slick and slides all 2 easy so beware

How broken is it ? can it be used in any way?
I need a Herald for cooking purpose so if it's working in some way I could maybe use buy it.
I've uploaded a beta that no one wan't to try so if I had a kind of working device I can test myself.

nah the usb port on it doesnt connect to active sync...nd also the phone is tore up the screen craked and it fell in water...

yeaa kinda did too..bb is pretty good love the way the emails are and how u can make ur own bb email and it has a reallyyy good cam ..but am still gunna be round if anyone needs help...

The day before yesterday my DHD's touchscreen went all dead on me.
Since warranty was allready over en probably void too I was forced to get a new phone.
I was in doubt off what new phone to get but HTC kinda grew on me. So, I'm moving over to Sensation(XE) threads.
allready running Virtuous ICS on it now so tings are going very well
Just wanted to thank the DHD community for giving me a great time. I've learned a lot from all of ya and had loads of fun.

I got it on a Tmobile 2 year contract. had 2 pay €100,= for the device

It's a bit early to say but I do like the screen and it;s resolution.also batterylife is a lot better and of course its a lot faster than DHD.
I must say it's a lot more comfortable to hold in your hand then DHD. A bit smaller so it fits better in an average hand
Don't buy it for the headset though, it kinda sucks to be honest. the cord is too short, earplugs are too heavy and sound is nothing special about.

Man... I already bought my edge and they come out with this.
Well as youll know it wont be available stateside or Europe or here in bonnie Scotland. Its a nice edition but im more than happy with my Black Sapphire.

The color combi is nice. However, the Ironman design at the back could be a turn off for some people who aren't fans.
I'm not really sure how coming out with new colors is gonna boost sales. Initially they already had black, white and gold. If someone would want an S6, he would have bought it by now (or maybe wait for blue/green)

I'm going from a rooted HTC One (M7) to the Nexus 6P very soon, and I have absolutely loved my One's silver/aluminum build and would like to get the 6P with the closest color to it.
Would that be the lighter aluminum color, or the darker one? (Obviously, it's not the darkest of the three...)

The aluminium color, I would think. I've heard the graphite color is very dark. I've heard the white doesn't feel like naked metal either.

From M7 to N6p, that's an excellent jump. M7 was a great phone, best of HTC years ago

Haha! My One is working perfectly to this day and the main reason I'm upgrading is because I want stock Android without mods instead of only being able to flash ROMs with way more features than I want or need. Call me a perfectionist or a purist, but my M7 would last me way longer if I wasn't a needy prude about it! Haha!

m8 Harmon Kardon here. honestly this is the best phone I've ever owned.. but as solid as this phone is, time for 64 bit with some qhd. so I upgraded to the 64gb note 5, which was nice as hell, but there just isn't any development going on w it, think most ppl skipped on it. nexus 6p is, well, a nexus.. so sure to be bursting with custom everything. returned note 5, ordered 6p on Oct 10. have to wait until Nov 18-20 for delivery. gonna kill me. m8 should have some fluffy ports coming before then though

really? i was thinking of buying one till i saw the pics. will have to check it out at a retail store then. Though i have to say im a bloody miser and i dont see myself buying it if it looks anything like the pics.

The design isn't that bad actually. It is different, but I like it. The screen is really spacious and its a fast device. The stock ROM isn't half had either, but I don't like the bkoat carriers ship it with
Personally though, I'd wait. Right now I'd say it is the best device you can buy, but others are planned ftom other OEMs
