Hello
I used to have a Huawei P8 lite and he broke.
To update it from the sd card i just needed the update.app
Now i have a Huawei P10 lite and to update it from the sd seem more dificult.
I undertand the Update.zip purpose, but what is the purpose of the public/update_data_public.zip and the WAS-L01A_hw_eu/update_full_WAS-L01A_hw_eu.zip
Because my phone is from vodafone i also have this one:
WAS-L01A_vodafone_default/update_WAS-L01A_vodafone_default.zip

Hi all,
I've 2 huawei U8800pro, and after update to 2.3.5 in first one I have around 800mb free internal storage, on the second one only 250mb. How it can be? If there are any ways to clean it. Before updating I have deleted all applications...
I have just flashed official 2.3.5 v518 but I can no longer write to my SD card.
I can read all existing files off it no problems.
If I try to write anything (take a photo, create new file with file explorer etc) it appears to work, but after a restart (or unmount / remount sd card) the files are gone.
I remember something about official updates corrupting SD cards but cannot find anything
do you have sd adabter ? maybe you locked it
I tried an adapter but my laptop didn't recognise it

I think the card is fried. Time for a new one. Happened to me twice.
I can read files off the card but cannot write/format it.
I tried everything - SD format program, Linux format. Nothing worked.

the card is working as it should be, its just write protected! i can read and get files from it, i just cant write into it. So in short its not fried at all
same thing here
I have the cm-7-20120711-UNOFFICIAL-u8800 on it now
With the old froyo kernel .32 it had no probs writing to it
But now i cannot write to it
When i take out the MicroSD and put it into a adapter it works right away !
So something has to be locked inside the software ( just don't know what )
hi guys
i know there are a few posts already answered related to this same issue
but all those solutions or i could say methods have gone way over my head
my ideos x5 u8800 is currently running android version 2.2.1 and i want to upgrade it to android ics
i have no idea how to do this or where to start since i just shifted on android from ios
if someone could take time to write and guide me step by step on how to do this, i would be very grateful.
Thanks

I don't know your phone run the stock ROM or another ROM before. But with your issue, i give you the solution here.
http://www.huaweidevice.com/cn/downloadCenter.do?method=toDownloadFile&flay=software&softid=NDEyNTU=
Enter this link and download the zip file to your PC.
Prepare a formatted Micro SD Card which at least has 512MB available space.
Make a "dload" folder on SD Card.
Copy the "Update.app" from the zip you have downloaded to the "dload" folder on SD Card.
Long press Volume up + Volume down + Power button to start up your device until device into upgrade model, the phone will upgrade and shutdown automatically.

Hi, Happy new year for you to.
On the phone settings, storage tab, you can set the default location for storage and select SD card. With this, the WhatsApp media will be stored on yoru SD card.
Best regards,

Hi,
I had setup default storage location to SD card in my Huawei P9 Lite phone, but unfortunately after 2.75 years, my Huawei P9 Lite was destroyed due to a severe accident, so I have to use my other phone Galaxy J6.
Now I am restoring WhatsApp from googledrive, but there seems no option similar to what we had in Huawei P9 Lite for Default Location.
Is there any other possibility to set WhatsApp media to SD card?
Thanks and best regards,
