Has anyone tried using the Seido holster with a adhesive skin like the Bodyguards or Invisible shield coating? I assume the skin is very thin but then the holster may be very tight and may not allow even the slightest addition in size (0.2 mm per Invisible shield website).

Sediosedio, can you comment on the holster if it will allow the 0.2mm?
Thanks
FYI, it does.
Just to let you know I wanted to do this exact same setup.
The good news is it does fit... the bad news is that you may be unhappy with the invisible shield.
Do a seach for my posts there is one recently describing my experience with the shield. Long story short, it doesn't cover much of the device (hardly nothing on the sides) and it doesn't really give a nice clean look when installed (unless you have access to a cleanroom with 0% dust particles in the air).
It would have been nice if it did work, as protecting the back of the phone from scratches would have been nice (as that area is exposed in the holster). Also the constant moving in and out of the holster MAY rub against the top part of the phone and cause the shield to slowly peel off...on the flip side it may be lessening wear on the phone case itself.
I am sending mine back via money-back guarantee today and have already ordered the Seido rubberized case. Unfortunately their standard holster does NOT work with their case (it is 1mm thick) so I had to order the combo to get the specialized holster too.
So, I have an extra holster for an uncased phone....if anyone wants to buy it...
I have the Invisible shield and the Seidio rubberized case. Both fits together well.
I went with the rather expensive invisible shield since I know their products and simply licked it for the apple stuff which is lying around at home.
Hello to all,
I was wondering if the Seidio Innocase was really any different from those cheapy $6 rubberized plastic cases? I tried one of the cheapy ones on at the mall but it made the phone even bulkier so I decided to skip it, is the innocase really much thinner?
I had the cheap one, and once it failed I decided to stop dicking around - Got the Innocase.
Differences:
-Cheap case is thicker
-Cheap case doesn't hold on as well. After awhile, mine kept sort of falling off
-Innocase has a nice soft felt-lined bottom cover that protects the phone
-The BIGGEST difference... The cheap case touches the screen, and the only way to make it work was to dremel it and modify it so I could actually use the phone
What is the thinnest snap-on case? I saw a few "hard cover" cases on ebay but I am skeptical if they are junk. I don't wanna spend $30 on a case, but just want something thin that will protect it from scratches and some bumps.
The sticker protectors are ok, but they don't look the best.
I find that the bodyguardz sticker protectors work wornders. Personally I've used it since 2 months after I purchased my fuze and i don't get any scratches at all and they actually get inconspicuous. No one can tell that I have the stickers on it and it feels really good.
I got a great deal on amazon on a clear plastic case, a solid black case and 2 more screen protectors. Came out to around 8 bucks (including shipping). Check out around there and maybe you can find something nice.
got me a pdair aluminium case for the raphael/touch pro, works great!
I'm a truck mechanic, so I can't use anything else!
Regards,
Emile
damn. that aluminum case sounded so cool! Then it turned out to be hinged.
The aluminum case sucks!!! every time you drop the phone it comes flying out of the case. you have to keep bending back the latch for it to stay closed. the screw in clip in the back striped out in a week.
I'm in concrete, so I wouldn't use this if it was FREE!!!
Hi all,
Just ordered a new Nexus 4 and am looking for case recommendations. It comes with the stock bumper free, but I want something more I think.
My previous phone was an HTC Inspire 4G (RIP) and I really liked the CaseMate Toughcase for it, which was pretty similar to the Otterbox Commuter cases (hard plastic outer shell, soft silicone inner padding), especially combined with a screen protector.
While I'm not the clumsiest person in the world, I have dropped before, and will continue to drop, on surfaces ranging from dirt to concrete to hardwood. I'm wondering what the best solution for protecting the glass surfaces on my new phone will be, without going for the extreme of the bombproof OtterBox Defender-type cases. I think my ideal would be along the lines of the Otterbox Commuter, along with a good screen protector.
So, recommendations?
Edit: Can anyone comment on the Ionic Guardian Armor Case or the KaysCase ArmorBox Cover Case? Specifically as it relates to protection and ease of use/taking in and out of pockets?
Looking to order a compatible case with Whitestone dome glass. Looking for something that doesn’t sit right on top of the glass, just in case it pushes it up when in and out of the pocket and bag
Spigen. Using it with Whitestone. No issues.

Which spigen case?
I would hazard a guess that all. Except of course the ones that come with screen protector

Not at all true. There are threads here with lists in them

The rugged armor supposedly doesn't fit, which is a shame as i was using that one on each and every one of my smartphones. The tough armor fits perfectly though, and i am quite happy with it. The kickstand might be useful but doesn't seem to be that robust. Time will tell.
Another favorite of mine was the ringke onyx case. That one does not fit.
I've used the Spigen Neo Hybrid in the past and currently the UAG Monarch with the Whitestone and have had zero issues.

I meant in combination with the whitestone dome glass. The upper lipp was just sitting too tight. I didn't want to risk the glass to peel up, so i deemed it as unfit.
You should have a look at this list, made for S9/S9+: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11upU3Lh5bIZl3rPAoN23gCxBDU6MwkNZyEzY01HLUeE
Unfortunately, even if one case from company works, it doesn't mean that the rest are compatible. There are even cases of the same lineup (Spigen Ultra Hybrid) which are compatible and others aren't. In my opinion, if you want an ultra-thin case, then the Torras is the best bet. The Spigen Neo Hybrid is great (got one) for slim ---but adequate- protection. If you want the best protection possible, you should be looking at the UAG Monarch (expensive) or Otterbox Symmetry & Strada
Personally, I gave up on the Whitestone and now got myself an Otterbox Strada. Partly due to VR compatibility (I do AI research and now working on a VR project) and partly due to installation problems; once with the phone sitting tool was weirdly tight (compare to the 2nd kit I got) for the phone and the other it was my fault. Also, I got tired to looking for cases that are compatible. VR
I used that list posted above and this has been my experience so far.
I can confirm that UAG Plasma will push on the Whitestone.
The Spigen Neo Hybrid does work with Whitestone, but there's very little separation between case and Whitestone. The case does extend past the added thickness of the glass, so it will protect the Whitestone if placed face down.
Samsung Alcantara case doesn't seem to push the Whitestone despite seemingly touching. Perhaps the alcantara fibers makes it look worse than it actually is, but I didn't want to take the risk.
I'm currently using a Tech21 Evo Tactical and it gives the largest space to the Whitestone than any of the previous covers above. It's also a very thin case, yet has great drop protection. Lastly, this case provides more face down protection than the Neo Hybrid.
I went with the tech21 evo tactical due to @coiledwire post above

Did you try the tough armor?

No, I haven't tried it yet. I'm usually a minimal case user, so UAG Plasma is just about as big as I'd want to go.

Agreed. My Whitestone install is 99.9% perfect and I don't want a case to mess with it. I'm loving this tech21 case. Its pricy for what it is, but it works really well with the Whitestone, looks nice, and feels solid.
UAG monarch fits really well, plenty of space like the tech21 tactical
Has anyone tried the Griffin Survivor Strong Clear?
I can confirm the Whitestone Dome is compatible with the Griffin Survivor Strong Clear case.
Does anyone know if the mous cases are compatible?
