SG-935S rom compatibility - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

I have a Korean version of S7 Edge. Can I flash roms that marked as F/FD without flashing Bootloader and Modem, with compatible with S kernel?
And can I flash Oreo with current Nougat modem and bootloader?
Thanks.

im on a nougat bootloader with a 935s titanium silver
just dont change your bootloader or modem
roms ive used
sac23's s9+ rom (oreo) (currently using v4)
note 8 port (oreo)
batman s8+ port (nougat)
yes they all work because they have the same components
edit: btw dont upgrade your bootloader if you still want to use nougat roms
there is no going back once you update a bootloader
nougat bootloader can run oreo not the other way around

[Help] Install twrp in Galaxy s5 sm-g900v 6.0.1

Hey there I just got a new samsung galaxy s5, and I have been searching on the internet since yesterday, and haven't been able to find a thread that gives me information about installing custom recovery or installing a rom based in stock without any bloatware.
My phone is the samsung galaxy s5 sm-g900v (not rooted, i haven't been able to do it, maybe it's not posible yet )
android 6.0.1
kernel version 3.4.0
So my questions are:
Can I flash the twrp.tar file with odin?
Is there anyway to install a rom based in the stock of samsung but without bloatware?
And finally, can I root android 6.0.1 in my verizon s5?
Thanks in advance
you have alot to learn my friend.. if you are on 6.0.1 i dont think you can downgrade. you need to be on a 5.0 and then root then if you have a samsung board you can unlock the boot loader to install TWRP if its a toshiba you cant..

I just got the s5, but i get rid of it,im back on my old lg g2, seems it was imposible to install a clean rom on that device.
6.0.1 is downgradable. If you had a 15 chip then you could get TWRP. Even if you had an 11 chip you could still flash a debloated rom on Lolipop.

I've searched but I'm lost on where and how to downgrade 6.01? Is it just flashing over a 5.0 ? or is there more to it because it's new? And where can you find a guide for rooting 6.01 or downgrading it and then rooting?

I already gave the phone to my gf, but what would happen if I try to flash a stock based debloated rom with my pc? I mean flashing the debloated version of 6.0.1?

Flash a G900V 5.0 Lollipop Odin TAR. If you have a CID 11 chip then you can either:
- Downgrade to lollipop and stay rooted their.
- Stay / upgrade to marshmallow but not have root.

you can downgrade from marshmellow to lolipop however you cannot downgrade to kitkat due to the fact that the bootloader is different
I advise you DO NOT make move to unlock bootloader on locked device.Like install 900f roms 900f kernels. Because i tried this **** and my s5 is turned to trash. Do not try belive me.

Why are you advising those with a locked bootloader not to unlock it? If you have the right emmc, there are like 4 different methods to do it. It's simple!

No WIFI on MM roms G900V Unlocked Bootloader.

Hi, I have recently rooted and bootloader unlocked a G900V and it works fine on Lollipop roms, but when the device is flashed with a MM rom via TWRP or Flashfire the Wifi wont work. IDK what is up with this. Maybe it has something to do with the baseband or whatnot, I'm out of ideas so I have to bug you guys for help, thanks in advance!
A little more Info I'm on PF4 baseband. Tried the Note5 port rom, the BS free rom and a deodexed debloated MM rom and all have no wifi. Ive tried the phoenix kernel, still no go. Tried flashing the PD1 baseband as its another MM baseband and it didnt take (via odin or TWRP ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) . So idk why flashing basebands doesn't work, maybe it'd solve my problem.
By using Getex's [GUIDE] Unlocking the Galaxys S5 Bootloader using DEV Bootloader [KK-MM]
and following the bottom subsection (If You Already Have Bootloader Unlocked And On A Samsung TW Rom) I was able to fix the problem.
Nice! Thanks GETEX!

Are there any Android 6.0.1/7.0 ROMS for the S7 edge?

Hey guys! As downgrading the S7 family with U8 Bootloader isnt working, I wanted to flash a Rom based on 6.0.1 or 7.0 to my S7 edge. However, whenever I do that through TWRP my S7 is stuck on the Logo Screen. Are there any older Touchwiz based MM or Nougat Roms, I could still flash?
i don't think there are any as of now

Flashing Note Fan Edition Stock Rom

Is it possible to flash Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition firmware to Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge? Particularly this one: https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-N935F/XME/N935FXXU8CVG2
Since they both use the same cpu, ram etc...
I don't want to flash any custom roms. They are outdated. I want to flash latest stock Note FE firmware to my S7 EDGE and then debloat it myself.
If I cannot flash it directly with odin, what steps should I follow? What should I change to make it work on my S7 EDGE (G935F)?
How can I modify this N935 stock rom to be flashable via TWRP?
@canitim
Hello, for S7 edge Custom Pie NFE 2.2 Rom, based on stock without any modifications, I use it myself, 100% stable Rom. What you need, On the phone, the latest firmware version 8.0, then in the developer options (the most important) OEM unlock. Download the latest version of TWRP and flash via Odin. Everything described in the custom Rom installation section
[ROM][S7][G930F][S7EDGE][G935F] [Pie] [N935FXXU4CSC5][OMC] V2.2
All is in tittle : So Really just simple port of Note FE N935F rom 9.0 Pie , i use N935FXXU4CSC5 Base Odex Not Rooted , simple ZIP file & add OMC "Country operator software ,automatic country selection" I know There is lot of Pie Port But I...
