How to root my Huawei p10 lite to recover deleted pictures - Huawei P10 Lite Questions & Answers

Hello guys!
I use a Huawei p10 lite with the build WAS-LX1AC432B206 and I'm a total beginner in rooting etc.
A few days ago, I deleted a lot of pictures while sending them from the internal memory to my SD card. Now I want to recover these pictures.
I found some good guides (german is my native language), but I need to root my phone before following these guides.
I tried one-tap apps like Kingroot and Kingoroot but nothing worked.
Do you guys have any tipps or guides for me how I can root my phone to recover my pictures?
Thank you very much.
Best Regards

[Q] Need some help in rooting Huawei Ascend Y300!!!

Hello, how are you guys? Well i am bit of a noob in these things so i wanted to ask several things about rooting my Huawei Ascend Y300 mentioned in this threadrooting guide.
First of all will rooting my phone void my warranty. I have Y300-0100 one version. If it will void my warranty can i unroot it so that when i need to update or flash my custom rom i can do so.
Secondly where is the root of the SD card? And when i boot my phone in safe mode as mentioned in step 3 how will the update happen? Will it happen automatically or do i need to trigger it from somewhere. And it is written that if we get pink screen we need to put the "dload" folder in the root of the internal memory. Where is the root of internal memory? And to put the folder in the internal memory do i need to open the phone in normal mode and use file manager to put it in the internal memory?
Thirdly it is written in the step 6 that to install drivers. From where can i install these drivers? do i install them from the phone or the rar file you provided?
Fourthly how can i backup my stock rom so that i can restore it if somethings bad happen.
Fifthly i want to ask that can any one here suggest me a good backup app that back ups app data, not only the apk file but also the save game, settings and extra files which are downloaded within the app.
Lastly it is written if we get error like camera, flash or bleached screen we should run install-windows.bat, from where can i run this, from the phone or the windows?
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any help. Hoping for a fast and satisfactory answer. Many many thanks.

You need to use cf-autoroot or twrp and supersu.
Whatever you do dont write anything to the data partition, make sure it's the sd card you recover to.
You will have the best success with the pro version of disk digger.
You're other option is to pull a full image of the internal storage to the PC and work on that.

Need Christmas Miracle, Trying to Root Encrypted Note 3.0 to Recover Deleted Files

Hello,
Last week 16 Gb of photos and videos (the last 3 years of my life) suddenly disappeared with only the last 6 pics I took in the gallery app. Stupidly I did not back anything up. I realize that the data is still probably on the phone, however to get to this I need to root the phone. The phone is running 5.0 Lollipop and is encrypted because I had to instal mobile iron. for my job. I have tried Kingroot, Kingoroot and several other methods but keep failing. I have not decrypted the phone as I believe this will make the data inaccessible unless there is some way I can get the encryption key off the phone. Any advise of method to use to root or how to extract these files given the current state of the phone would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Sean

Post a screenshot of file systems,DCIM especially and if using microsd to see where data went.Possibly root is not needed.
Where did the files went?
In case of root i suggest using ODIN software and flashing twrp.tar file. (just in case u havent tried that already).

I am not using a microSD
From what I have read the disappearing of photos and videos randomly occurs to some people on the Note 3 and the file data if not overwritten is still present. XDA wont post let me a post a link but there are several threads elsewhere on this issue.
XDA also wont let me attach photos until I have 10 posts. Ill see if I can bump this to do so.
Please don't bump multiple times. Bump once in 24hrs.
Have patience. XDA is a global forum so every member is with various time zones.

You must Odin back to 4.4.4 to root.
I would make sure those photos weren't backed up after all. If you just use google+ for example they are backed up by default.

Have you thought about rooting your phone in order to do this?
Theremay be other methods so look a bit deeper.
If you're stll stuck, try rooting and recovering. I am familliar with data recovery and know that if you reflash firmware or write new files you could easily write over old "deleted" files. However, you've got a higher chance as the ROM is max 4GB~ and the device can be no smaller than 64GB so 60GB of empty space still could have your files.
I'm probably wrong but I'm aware of the /system partition being written to dedicated block of the memory so you'll have even more chance provided you haven't filled your phone
Best of luck (If you've sorted it now, fair play!!!)
Next time, use cloud
The TWRP flash will not touch the /data partition, since it is flashed to the recovery partition.
You only have to format data once, there will be nothing going to be overwritten, in my opinion.
Of course it's without guarantee, but it's worth a try, since you stuck with recovering.
Imo is that the only chance you have.
So, go for root and disk digger.
