Samsung Note GT-N7000ZBADBT - no root ROM for this?

I am contemplating buying a Samsung Galaxy Note International version from eBay and the seller posted the MPN is GT-N7000ZBADBT.
Looking at the "Development" section, under the "Root" thread, I don't see this MPN at all. So does this mean that any MPN that is NOT SHOWN in the above thread is NOT ROOTABLE?

I have still not heard this ROM,
Have you confirm this is not carrier restricted?
I recommend to purchase N7000 with regular available ROM.

Yes I have note with open German product code DBT and is ok. Even for the updates on official Samsung is quite fast...

I think I should buy the note from Global Mobile in Amazon, just in case...

GT-N7000ZBADBT is the pcode from the zba=16gb blue note dbt=open Germany device. The nothing to do with firmware.

I have been reading the many pages of thread in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1329360 and there is apparently some Note that is not rootable.

You don't have to email your seller. Just go to settings/about phone, take a screenshot and post it here. We'll help you root your phone as soon as we get some more info.

It won't be a major issue, Recently purchased devices are usually comes with non rootable ROM as preinstalled ROM
You can downgrade to rootable ROM, and after rooting, you can update to any latest ROM with mobile Odin/CWM.

XEU looks quite european to me, but I just can´t make risky assumptions. Any idea where this ROM comes from and if there are rooting solutions and so on for it?

No, not every ROM will work smooth in our Note, but some roms are nice, faster and with good battery life. I'm using Ultimate ROM LT4 and works brillant!
No, no todas las Roms van a funcionar bien en nuestro Note, cada rom es para un usuario distinto. Algunas roms están hechas para gente que quiere su teléfono para trabajar (Barebones Rom) que pesan aproximadamente 300MB, mientras hay otras muy buenas para el usuario común como tu o yo (Ultimate Rom XXLT4). En el caso de esta última la probé y es muy ágil, rapida y no consume mucha bateria. Realmente te la recomiendo
Te recomiendo también que uses el inglés para postear en XDA-Developers, ya que es un foro internacional en el que se usa dicho lenguaje.

Philz kernel and recovery causes some kind of issues with AOSP ROM installations, please use CF-Root, Siyah, CM or Dorimanx kernel before flashing SuperNexus.

[Q] LG Spirit 4G (LGH440N) problem...

Hi guys,
I need your help...
I bought this phone last month in Spain (with Orange) and phone is SimFree. Ok, i've rooted phone with LG G3 method and no problem...but I've managed to install a CWM i've flashed it...when I reboots...
"Subsystem Crashed! : Modem...DLOAD Mode"...
And every time i've reboot, the message still here...Phone no boot up, hangs in this screen. Wipe factory settings, but no luck...phone no boot.
I don't find any KDZ for my LGH440N (name Spirit 4G)...only in GAODI.net but is in chinese and i don't understand anything, only i've registered and thats all.
Please, when I can download original firmware for my LGH440N...that's now I need to unbrick???? (In LG-FIRMWARE.COM there are no firmware, it seems that phone doesn't exists.
Please...help me..I don't have phone in this moments...and no bucks to buy another one...

@polfrank i have the message too, i think it's the error that firmware cannot "install" brand for croatia tmobile because mcc/mnc code was other that croatia tmobile but all is ok, phone works good without errors

Eventionally, does a cwm recovery for this device really exist?

I have the same exact problem as OP, I tried to flash the .kdz but the lg software keeps spitting errors like "failed to connect to server".
Also, I can't seem to be able to boot directly into download mode, I have to plug in the usb when at the blue screen to enter it

OP is spreading misinformation. There is no working root method for the Spirit besides Kingroot, after which you replace Kingroot with SuperSu. LG G3 root DOES NOT WORK!
Also, there is no CWM.
OP screwed up his phone who knows how, and is asking for help how to fix it. It would be much easier if he told the truth.
But, considering this forum is going down the toilet because of serious noob influx and lack of true and proper devs, that is to be expected.

Yeah, I just left the phone for a few minutes when it said "failed......". Worked out fint tho.
I got that blue screen as well, but could start in download mode.

Good news for Brazilian users. About 5.1.1

Ok guys so i Decided to take one for the Team and tried the indian version of the 5.1.1 g920i rom.
Good news! Everything works perfectly, even the 4g, with was main main concern. I just suggest a dirty flash to keep your phone in the same language you have now.
You can also use locale to change your language back if you did a clean flash.
Well, that's it, give it a try if you want a taste of lollipop....

i'm using vivo, but for what i have read in the specs, they all match the brazlian version.

This Rom have Portuguese- BRASIL ?
Because i using the Indian version and don't have this language. Just have english and indian.

Sorry to bother you here, but I created a thread asking about a similar procedure I want/need and so far nobody has replied.
I have a Sm-G920i with Australian Firmware (PDA and CSC), I just want to be sure that I don't screw this phone as this is paid by my office and can't take the risk to trip Knox or disable any of the original feature and future ones like Samsung Pay.
So, are you so kind and answer me a couple of questions?
1-) Did you use Odin, if so, just selected regular options and flashed, nothing special for this kind of things?
2-) It's obvious it didn't fail you, there are people saying that doing this fails with odin, but now that you flashed it, do you have PDA and CSC from India also? Do you know if future OTA updates are possible?
3-) Is everything working normal, all radios, fingerprint etc...? I'm assuming it should as it just an official version flashed, but just want to be sure.
4-) Have you read or do you know something about that supposedly, once you flash this Rom from India Samsung Pay won't work on it?
5-) Do you know the previous specific Region you had (PDA and CSC) can you check the ones that it's currently showing?

Depois de desistir, formatei meu aparelho e ja estava desconsolado e aceitando a derrota, mas nao sei pq eu resolvi recuperar um Back-up da minha conta samsung (eu havia feito a uns dias)
Para a minha surpresa o Pr-br foi ativado, embora se eu for em idiomas e entrada nao exista lá o nosso idioma

i did a dirty flash and mine was in portuguese right out of the box. Anyway, it is not hard to change the language on the phone.

1. yeap, used odin, nothing special.
2. Pda and csc are from india now, and since i haven't rooted i guess OTA will work fine. Since the model is the same and i can't wait for brazilian carriers to update the phone, i'll keep instaling whatever rom is released first for this phone.
3. Everything is fine and dandy
4. I thing samsung pay won't work on this rom. They don't have it in india or Brazil, so no changes for me here.
5. i had the brazilian pda and csc. Now it's from india.

I really appreciate your response. Just one thing, about Samsung Pay, right now, it hasn't been released yet, so nobody had it, but a quick Google search for Samsung Pay India tells me sonething different, according to dozens of articles I found, apparently India and most if not all regions will be able to use Samsung Pay.
When I asked about it, it was more like I asked that by doing this something was tripped or flagged and teeth Samsung Pay won't work, but if because of the market, I think we safe by asking that it should work when is released.

Mine was an Australian baseband, I flashed this Rom with Odin and everything works as expected, only thing you will notice is that if you connect to Smart Switch app for PC or MAC it will still detects the Original CSC, I was curious about it and installed Phone info apk and it shows correctly the information, both PDA and CSC are now from India but it shows that the Original CSC was XSA (In my case), Firmware's CSC code is INU (India) and Active CSC code it says XSA/INU, so I'm assuming that it's showing multiple CSC.
Does somebody know if having the Active CSC showing XSA/INU causes future OTA issues?

I decided to remove the Re-activation Lock in Find My Mobile settings, and after that and enter to recovery mode, it changed the CSC to India, so for those of you with same issues, remember about Re-activation lock.

I live in Honduras, central America, got the 920I and yesterday I got a message about the OTA update which said it was 5.1.1. Haven't tried it because I'm not at home and there's no Wi-Fi in here.

I'm in uk with s7 mini and also have same problem and there are people on their forum with same problem. No idea how to fix this and they are on holiday until the 3rd.

I have tested with the normal s7 manual, but this file MT67XX [6797] Scatter from Recovery Folder is not compatible with the s7 mini.
I want to know if there is possibility of some compatible file to use with the flhastool and put recovery twrp to the s7 mini, in order to be able to install super user zip

can you enter in play store?
try to download gmail/maps for example (even if you have play service error) and play store suggest you to update google play services immediately

Thanks, already tried that (I can remember by heart that I have installed the 448 version). Will check it again tonight and let you know, maybe I did something wrong.

My wife is having the same issue with the s7 mini, I have the 4gb s7 which works perfectly. Tried all but rooting the device.

I saw that this afternoon, too. August updates in October.

I got it today too. Lenovo is a bit behind on the times. I guess it's better late than never.

My son got super excited that he was getting 8.1 and I had to let him down easy explaining it was just a security update.

Definitely yes. It will fail if you're rooted, changed anything in system or have flashed a custom kernel. You have to be totally stock, firmware version NPNS25. 137-93-14.

Mine was rooted and last update -14 was with TWRP flashable. I had to fastboot reflash NPNS25.137-93-10 last full ROM, OTA update to -14 and then to -18. Now have to re-root the phone again.
While rooted I was able to download the blur-version in the cache but could not get the file to move anywhere from there. What's the trick to it?
Would appreciate if someone can make the NPNS25. 137-93-18 zip available somewhere.

What error are you getting when installing the security patch? Can you post a screen shot?
Is this patch getting pushed to your phone OTA, or are you manually installing it?
