Just bought my Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy S8 from Walmart, so I took the Tracfone sim card out and put a AT&T sim card into it, it works!
My question: Is the Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy S8 sim unlocked by default?
Thanks in advance
I tested mine with all four major carriers, ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile and started a Sprint free year on the device, so I guess the Walmart Straight Talk S8 is fully unlocked

Hey All. I currently have a Galaxy Nexus with a ATT Straight Talk SIM. I am buying a T-Moble Galaxy S4 today for $320. I want to use it as my main phone, but I know I will have to unlock it and cut the SIM card. After I unlock it will I be able to get 4G speeds? Or will the band difference screw me? What if I was to get the new LTE straight Talk SIM Card?
Hey everyone. I am new to the whole factory unlocked phone game.
Recently I acquired a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 that was factory unlocked from Amazon to use abroad, however, I would like to use for Sprint or Verizon here in the US. When I put in the SIM card, the device will not work. I am curious as to what needs to be done to get my SM-N910H to work? I thought unlocked meant usable on any carrier?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

First of all, Verizon and Sprint are CDMA carriers, thus they do not use SIM cards. Unlocked devices won't work on these carriers. Return the device and you need to purchase the device from Sprint or Verizon.
Unlocked means you will be able to use it on any GSM carrier (carriers that utilize SIM cards), not CDMA.
I am aware of that, however, that statement that Sprint or Verizon does not use Sim cards in incorrect. Sprint and Verizon use UICC Sim cards. I checked my buddies Sprint Galaxy Note 4 and it has a sim card in the sim card slot in the same slot as the GSM device.
I have an AT&T Tab 4 10.1 rooted and would like to use a SPRINT LTE SIM card in it. Is this possible? When I insert the SPRINT SIM it asks for a SIM unlock code. I do not have an AT&T account and never did, just Sprint. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!
This is available for purchase directly from Samsung or Sprint, can it be used on verizon?
Anyone have a list of bands SM-G892UZAASPR supports? I assume this one supports CDMA bands.
Thanks,
Jon
Hey everyone I am new to this can I have the opportunity to get a Samsung Galaxy S8 active from Sprint that will be unlocked will this work with Verizon Networks. I am using an unlocked globally Samsung Galaxy S5 with the old unlimited plan with foxfi for my internet for everything else which I know I will not be able to use with the S8 S8 Plus or S8 active... But will a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S8 active work on Verizon as long as it is Sim unlocked?
I have a AT&T Samsung Galaxy S8+ on AT&T firmware. I want to switch to Verizon. I know I can switch my firmware to Verizon. My question is does my phone have to be unlocked by AT&T first to allow the Verizon sims card to work on my phone? I have the SM-G955U

Yes ti has to be unlocked first either by the carrier or paid services then after you put on the Verizon sim it should automatically set itself up for Verizon
