I'm running stock Oreo 8.1 (unrooted, bootloader locked) and a week ago NFC stopped working for Android Pay and other apps. NFC looks switched on in settings but is randomly greyed out and or has switched itself off. I've tried a factory reset and booting in safe mode so I'm thinking it's not app related.
Can't really find this problem on researching more. Really keen to hear any ideas or suggestions. Thanks!!!
Any updates on this? Did you get it to work?

recently my trophy is behaving strangely. the hardware buttons stop to respond after several hours after reboot. The automatic screen lock then doesn't work anymore but all apps are. I have hard reset the phone but it keeps behaving like this. The only way to recover is to take the battery out and replace, then the phone starts and the time is totally incorrect, it appears to be back to the prevïous "crash".
can anyone help? thanks for reading!
Have you tired a factory reset? (If this is GSM Trophy, it should be okay to do. CDMA Verizon Trophy... flash back to stock first).
yes
Hi
yes i tried a factory reset but didnt help. I found out that if I keep the wifi off the phone is fine but after wifi is switched on the phone freezes after heavy use or few hours.
If anyone has any ideas...
Has your phone been updated via Zune to the newest software? I'm guessing this is a hardware issue though.
well.... yesterday i read about a way to force the tango updte through zune. I tried it and it worked. Zune updated my phone in 2 steps. I immediately turned wifi on and it has been stable (touch wood so far.... Looks like some bit went missing
Yeah, I can't really offer any advice other then to try restoring the backup Zune made before you made the update. If it was working fine before forcing the update, I'd say stick with that for now.
Am I understanding correctly that your phone was fine before the update?
If you can't restore your Zune update, you may need to flash a new stock rom to fix the problem (good-by data).
What carrier are you using for your Spark? Football's rom thread in the dev forum may have a rom you can use.
Hello everybody,
month ago i tried this mod for NFC Lockscreen (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2285978). I flashed it to my phone and clicked on turn on NFC, but just slider changed to NFC ON, but this icon on panel on top wasnt there and NFC doesnt work. I dont know how to repair it, because i have no backup...
Thank you for you help!

Hey guys. I'm from the S4 mini forums and came here to help solve our problem as we are only a small community.
Basically a kernel was made for stock rom enabling BLN and other mods but since flashing that, it has disabled our NFC (tries to turn on).
Even after flashing/factory resetting and changing firmware doesn't solve the problem.
I have managed to come up with a temporary fix by replacing "nfc_nci.msm8960.so" located in system/lib/hw from CM rom. Soon as we flash a fresh firmware via Odin, the problem comes back.
Does anyone have a rough idea what this kernel may have caused for this to happen?
Hope to hear some feedback soon as we are all getting rather frustrated over this matter.
Thanks people and Merry Christmas!
Hi,
After I rooted my note 3 I removed some bloatware and even though I didn't touch the bluetooth's apk it doesn't work anymore.
every time im getting into the settings menu or turning on bluetooth I get a message that says bluetooth share has stopped working.
How can I fix that?
I have now noticed that the camera does not work either, it says camera has failed.
what should I do? :crying:
Should i try flashing an offical rom from samsung site?
EDIT: I flashed a stock rom (for my first time) and it helped, everything works now
My note 3 is suddenly not working correctly. Bluetooth and Wifi are both grayed out and not able to be turned on. Nothing changed, they were just working earlier. I am running 5.0 on the N900v and am thinking perhaps it is a Lollipop thing? Perhaps I should downgrade and then root/custom recovery and try CM 12.1 if I REALLLY want lolli? PLEASE HELP! Thank you
Also, in the process of doing a complete kies reinstall after I already tried multiple resets and battery pulls. Even cleared cache after resets. I did notice that the 5.0 on my device was not the newest 5.0 that is current on the Verizon network. Going to post results. All i saw anywhere online was some diagrams with IC's that are responsible for wifi and BT, wondering whats going on. Sorry for not including all in one post, and my edit post is grayed out as well. (whattt is going on?) :cyclops:
Hi All
I have an issue with my S5 Plus (G901F) a few days ago I rooted, TWRP and installed the stable MM ROM from Tkkg1994 and have been happily using my phone. This morning while I was opening the Gmail app the device rebooted and when it came back up I noticed WiFi was not on. Pressing the quick menu WiFi button turns it green for a second before going back to disabled. Likewise going to into settings - WFi and using the slider does not work either, it just goes back to off.
So far, I have wiped ART/Dalvik, reflashed BL and Modem, factory reset. Wiped the whole device and redid everything including diffrerent ROM's on the same BL/Modem (CPE1) and have the same result.
Everything else works, just not WiFi, I should also add I have tried with and without the SD card and disabling/enabling other radios (GPS/BT) in different combos has not worked either.
Has anyone come across this and can they suggest next steps?
I'm currently downloading the stock ROM that came with my phone to see if that helps.
Cheers
Stock ROM did not help.
Did you find solution? I have recently started to have same issue with same device.

Probably not. The S5 seems to suffer a lot by such issues. I bought mine 3 months ago in a shop. It worked for about 2 months very well. Then all of the sudden it became hot in my pocket so i had to quickly remove the battery. After this the device suffered by ocessional reboots. Nothing helped. Even trying to reflash the stock firmware by trying several Pit´s.
Finally got a replacement as obviously either the RAM or the CPU got defective. The other phone lasted for one week as the wifi module got defective there. Nothing helped either. Now it´s my 3th S5. This weekend my flashlight and camera stopped working. Fortunally got this fixed by reflashing the stock firmware.
Honestly I like the phone but it seems to be quite buggy. Never got such problems with my old S4 and am thinking about going back to the older device.
dude try flashing 4 files flash through odin
