I have confusion on asus zenfone max pro current build when i got the phone i got an ota update of 123 mb with build number 14.2016.1804.252.Where as i got mail from flipkart with ota build of size 1.3gb which states camera improvement with build number 14.2015.1802.252.
Which is the latest build i have already installed 14.2016.1804.252 in my phone when i try to install ota from Flipkart by placing it in my internal storage phone is not detecting it for installation.
Any one please help!!!!!!

the email that you got from flipkart contains the full rom.
the ota update that you got on your phone just contains the changed files in the new build.
so you are on the latest build.

seems like Google is rolling out another update on Android 1.5. The new version number is CRC1 and the update.zip has a size of only 2 MB. There is no further info on the changes in the update notification than it being a security update.

I think this may be the one I recieved the other night. It killed my root access. I had to reflash Harry_m's kernel to get root back.
Any user with this build no got the update? I haven't received yet and its not available at moto service center also....And moto agent told me that update has been rolled out to everyone...

I checked with the moto support indicating the build number and they said that update was released. Bit still no notification here....
Download the ota file and save into root folder of your SD card. Reboot your phone then check system update. If it still say system already up to date, reboot into recovery and use the apply update menu and point to the ota zip file
Can any body upload and send link of OTA update.
I have asked support centre. They have said to factory reset phone and then try to update. Did what they have said but could not update.

Hello community, and specifically to those with the model and build in the title.
After a few weeks of checking firmware finder, I discovered that it says it is now suitable and possible to update to B358.
I was on B357 until today and I can report that I updated to B358 just now with no problems at all. I installed the big file first(it's 1Gb+) and then the smaller file after that (a few hundred MB), again without issue. However with the second file it will complete 100% but then tell you there is another part to download. Just agree. It will do this 2 or 3 times and then will finally restart and install the package.

No, but I have installed B359 though with no problems.
Dit it myself. There's a couple more updates available, like 359, 360, 361 and even 371. Have yet to test these though.
Anyway, it's nothing but security patches in the end. Don't think we're gonna get features updates anymore.
I think you're right about it only being security update patches from now on. I recently installed the b360 build. This pretty much confirms that the honor 5C and P9-lite will not be in line to receive an official upgrade to Oreo 8.0. Bit of a shame.

I made a mess... I tried to update to B359 but then by mistake I flashed the wrong recovery So option was to flash full update.app I stored in microSD.
The problem is that that full update was an older version. Anyway now I still have build number B359 but other information refer to older firmware version I actually flashed!! For example security patch is still October!
So I downloaded full update to B357, flashed but again build is B359!!
Anyone experienced same issue? How can I solve?
UPDATE: solved by downloading and flashing an update called "update_data_full_NEM-L51_hw_eu.zip". After flashing this build number was correct!

If you are on the very first build you will get 318 then 327or337
But you surely can jump from any lower build to whatever the latest is...
Don't try to revert can't say about that but you can surely jump over lower to higher

Dont update your phone....the first version of this phone was so good for battery and other factors....native video calling also there...if you want to update directlh just go to asus site download 1.5 GB latest update to root of your internal storage...restart your phone you will see notification for update

About the battery and stuff, Can I update it to oreo's lastest version (. 340) without having any problems like battery drain or the other factors you mentioned above?
I won't update it to Pie as it has many bugs
I think you should avoid any upgrade even for oreo you will lose native video calling....even in recent pie update they removed widevine certi. Support from l1 to l3
