Alright... As you might have noticed, I Have a LG K8 K350Z, wich I rooted 4 to 5 months ago I think.
I rooted this phone just to use Link2SD, since I have the 8GB variant, And I kinda succeded.
After rooting and moving apps to the SD second partition (The card has a fat32 and an ext4 partition), I noticed some strange things.
First of all, I noticed that if I move something from the phone to the first partition without using a computer, the archive will be "moved" but no app can find it there but the file manager (ie. moving a song, then no app will detect that song. even if I reboot this crap). Then I have to move it back to the phone and move it to the sd card using a computer, then the archive will be detected.
And to get it worst, I just noticed that no apps I move to the SD Card will save its data. I play a racing game, wich everytime since I moved it to the SD card, I keep returning to the same spot (same last upgraded car part, same garage, etc.). Apps like google maps keep crashing if they try to download anything into the phone.
Also, I cant choose to store my camera pictures to the SD card. The option simply isnt there.
Is there any way to fix this damn phone? I had an LG L70 D325F8 before, I did the same procedure and it worked fine until it was stolen. Also, a way to fix this crap wich isnt "not using Link2SD" if possible... this phone is starting to annoy me.
Sorry if there's any typo or anything wrong there, since I'm not a native english speaker.

Hi,
i have a 8gb class4 sd card, how does the 2gb install affect this.
does it mean i can only use 2gb of my card or does this mean i can only install 2gb of apps?
the reason i ask is that i had a lot of music and pics on my sd card the first time i installed android and everything showed up and i was a happy chappy.
Then when i go to swap files over plugged in via usb connection (on android or winmo), the files transfer but then dont show in music player and dissapear from the card altogether after a reboot in android but can be browsed but not played and the original files still stay even after deletion. its the weirdest thing ive ever seen.
i had some issues with the card having corrupt files wiped it/error checked then reset my winmo install and installed android without resident .mp3 files on the sd, added some mp3's all good added apps to android and back to square one. unable to see new files and old files cant be got rid of correctly.
maybe my sd card is at the end of its life?(only 5 months old but well used) might of been unplugged live a few times but still works when if damaged they are virtually unreadable.
mattc's nexus v1.1 was my reinstall after using the previous version, apart from this issue it ran great, but the music function no.1 for me
any help/thoughts more than appreciated
bump
bump, again just transferred files and they dont show
You may need to reformat the card. They recommend this each time you install a new android build.
Any one experiencing random files being deleted off the SD card,
It seems to effect photos and pictures more than APK's or zip files
Cant work it out, not sure if the Sony sync software is backing them up and deleting them or its my SD card.
Any one else experiencing this ?
I cant remember if i read something about Ginger break maybe the cause of doing this or not
I never heard of this issue before, but GingerBreak did not remove any contents from my SD card when I rooted my Rogers Arc.
I had the same problem, at first I thought that it seems to me but no its real problem. You must format your SD Card in the Arc (i changed from FAT32 to NTFS and put it in phone then phone ask for formatting, maybe there is otherway for formatting but i know only this one) I am on the third day of testing and so far i have all files Other symptoms of this problem can be lags in video recording (strange randomly big lags about 1s long visible on the recording) or slightly longer shutter speed in photo mode.
Conclusion:
I think the culprit is allocation unit size.
Btw. Ofc i copy my files from card to harddrive befour and after formatting i just paste it back.
Yeah i copied all files to computer, formatted it and placed them all back
on the newly formatted SD card
Thing thats annoying is that iv lost about 70 pictures. with no way off gettting it back.
The Arcs starting to p*ss me off with other little problems like the back button is stuck in, and does not push,

I have finally jumped on to the android bandwagon and I love it!!!!!
The LG Optimus One is an awesome phone....as per my 1 week experience
Here are a few issues I am facing hope you guys will be able to help me out.
1. I have the default SD card in the device and everything works fine. Except that the SD card does not get detected by the LG PC suite. So I am unable to sync music and photos and videos with the phone. the PC suite says "SD card not detected". I have not tried removing the SD card fearing that the phone might become unstable or some other problem, cos many apps are installed on the SD card.
2. I want to install some of the default apps. esp. bollywoodji, gives me bunkum updates that too in the notification area! the latest one being "Big B wants dance Lessons" and "Soha's jealous at heart"......I don't care!!!!!!
anyways tried uninstalling the app but it doesn't allow...Pls help
3. Most of the apps provided by LG and lot others installed by me are on the SD card, now I am planning to move to a 8gb or 16gb SD card, is moving the stuff from this SD card to the new one as simple as copy-paste?
Thanks for your help.

Hi All
I have a Samsung i9505 and just moved to Resurrection Remix 5.6.2 ROM using marshmallow and am having issues with writing to the SD card with 3rd party apps.
I have used the ES Explorer fix and mount R/W and enabled root explorer however my 3rd party app still shows as read only. The app is doggcatcher. Whats odd I found an article to sort this problem out for Titanium backup and that worked fine. Also my camera picture and whatsapp all get saved to the SD card without issue.
In the end I have told doggcatcher to use my internal memory but that is quickly filling up.
I am tempted as the phone as 16GB internal memory, whether I should backup my files and choose the options where I can turn my 64gb external SD card as part of my internal memory as I never take out my SD card so that option might work for me but the reviews I am hearing are more negative than positive. I did try it out and went back to the traditional approach but thinking that maybe I didnt give it enough time.
I used FolderMount which was great on LL and recently purchase Link2SD to move files to the SD card but my internal memory still fills up. Currently foldermount isnt compatible with MM, link2SD is but I am having a few issues with it crashing and dont find it as easily to use as foldermount.
Any advice would be appreciated on what others have done.
Thanks
I don't know about anything else, but from what I heard is:
If you format as internal, you will have to do the whole "setup your sd card" step every time you flash a rom. Which is garbage, unless you stay on the same rom for like ever.
Dirty flashing a rom might skip that setup, as you don't lose the data/settingd etc. Problem is, you can't always dirty flash. Especially when changing roms altogether. PC's might not be able to read it either even if it is in your phone.
This is just what I gathered over the time, nothing from personal experience.
Umm interesting well I normally backup my phone nightly using both TB and nandroid backup so restoring to a new ROM as long as it doesn't format the whole CSR I should be OK or does it when you install the new ROM in which case my backups are no good unless I save them to the cloud like Dropbox or google drive?

I've the Same problem!
Hi! This is a very sad (and weird) problem, my sister has this phone and she has been using it for a while but a week ago she decided to buy a new SD card because she was running out of space. Everything was fine, I inserted the SD on it and the phone asked me if I wanted to move the files from the phone to the SD card. I accepted and the phone started moving them. I thought that it was safe to do that but I felt terrible when my sister told me that there were many missing files, in the case of the photos and images there are some of them that "appear" in the gallery but they are corrupted files and it's impossible to open them. In the case of the audio files there aren't any of them and they actually disappeared from both phone and SD card. I hope that you can help me because I don't know what to do.:crying:
Thanks in advance.
PD: sorry if my English is bad, it isn't my native language.
hey have you tried using some recovery software on your computer? there is a good chance that a recovery software might be able to recover your data. i once recovered data from a corrupted hard drive on my mac, i don't remember the software's name though.
