It will be true that tomorrow it will be released for LG G6 H870-- 10 may -2018
Any source???
I read this recently on Reddit, but the guy did not put any sources either..
I think we just have to wait a few days / weeks, there are two versions that were updated last days, there is no reason that it does not happen quickly on others !
So just relax the ass, and enjoy life while waiting ?

may not be so privileged .. for the v30 there was two updates, one in 8.0 without ThinQ, and one in 8.1 with ThinQ in the same week, just depended on the model..
Maybe we will be lucky enough to have ThinQ functions directly, with a little hope :silly:

No feature added , just feels little smoother. Had issue with two beeps of locking sound, now haven't seen that. Battery looks slightly improved but wait can't judge it on 3 hrs of usages , after 2-3 cycles it may be clear. Lastly the updated android security patch of April . Will revert back if anything weird happens but nothing till now everything good.

Thanks for the great feedback. Still downloading the KDZ file. Is the interface the same as V20C? I mean, I am hoping it might be the same as in G5.

A bit off topic: Since u have imported ur device, will you still get LG India warranty. Asking this because the so called "bootloop" issue is spreading like forest fire amongst the G4 users.

Bootloop is seen for older handset, my older one is H810 and got my H818 is a week old. The batch after Jan 2016 has got newer version of motherboard so no at risk I think so and no warranty for imported handsets.

Have yet to see Indians complain about it. 30K G4's imported into the country, where are they ?
When i went through a russian thread and used google translate i counted about 25. Out of how many. thousands ?
The bulk of people complaining are single sim. And the poll thread showed they were concentrated around the early builds.

S6 users were crying they did not get MM until march.
The G4 got MM in Dec.
Difference is the S6 got 6.0.1, we're still on 6.0
It takes work. Be patient.
Save your prayers for N.
The open question is the security updates. How long will LG keep those up.

Payoff would be very low
Just doesn't make "business" sense, to release Oreo, on older units, right before you release your brand new model.
Would be "nice", but I just can't see them doing it from a business perspective. Realistically, I don't see it coming to the
older units OFFICIALLY until around the Christmas holiday time frame, if that soon.
If "older" flagship does not receive android update, that would not generate much trust from consumers in company to buy new phone.
At the very least let us get EMUI 5.1 on our Mate 9.

That's silly to say the least, a phone isn't about software, I would buy the mate 10 if I could, even if I had 8.0 on the Mate 10. This argument is invalid, to me at least...

That's your opinion, mate, but I truly disagree.
Many customers pay attention to new software features that improve the overall user experience (see Android's doze improvements) and that are not related to hardware.
So, IMHO Huawei's hurry to release Mate 9's Oreo beta BEFORE Mate 10's release seems to be all about customers confidence-making

Yeah kinda sounds silly when I read it now, what I meant was, it's not all about software updates, ffs, the mate 9 is the best phone I've had until this day, why whine about not having O or P or whatnot. Of course I love new updates with new functions, used to be an update freak, not anymore I guess.

The Magic 8 Ball says "Ask again later" so that was no help. The fortune teller told me that my long dead great, great grandfather said "maybe" , so that was better. So, I was walking the beach and found this strange bottle. While rubbing the sand off a genie appeared and gave me one wish, so I thought, here's my chance. For my one wish I said, "I want Oreo on my phone". So now I have it, but the trouble is, I can't see the screen for that damn cookie stuck to the screen.

Here's the article:
Motorola Brings Android Oreo to the Moto Z, Z2 Play, G5, G5S and More in Australia and New Zealand
Excellent, I hope that some users can share the zip, or something similar to install the update on other update channels, as they did with the G4 Plus when it received 7.0

What's a V35? Did you mean V30S? It's still a V30, just more RAM.
ALL the V30 will get the ThinQ update. They'll all be ThinQ.
Several have already gotten itwith the Oreo update, and are now V30 ThinQ.
2014 LG G3 was in a different security era. Easy exploits to load TWRP even without bootloader unlock. Stuff like that.

Very interesting! Seems to be a Japan-ONLY updated version of the V30. Sort of a hybrid of G7 and V30. LG has done Japan exclusives like this before.
EDIT: Since I first wrote this, now also coming to AT&T.
Won't be any bootloader unlock.

Talked about this when it was first announced in guess what ... November: Link to article
They just can't help themselves announcing phones and releasing them months after everyone has forgotten about them.

Nevermind, i though it would be Release in the US and EU too. Haha but Japan only ? God Damm IT.
Just seems like further proof that LG has absolutely no clue what they are doing in their mobile division!
I'm hoping for some type of support for the V35. I picked up an unlocked ATT V35 and am using it on Tmobile. Only thing that is not working is VoWifi. Would love to get that working but after reading up, I would need a Tmobile ROM for that. I've heard Tmobile might start carrying the phone from a rep their.

It apparently has had some features taken away from in comparison to the V30/S + ThinQ phones. Might not be worth it.

Not Japan only. It is available now in any AT&T store or you can pre-order on Project Fi.

what is ThinQ exactly? and how does it affect our mobile phones? is that some kind of a major update? because as far as i know V300S/L/K does have a "ThinQ" logo during the startup boot.

And you quoted my post where I clearly said it is NOT JAPAN ONLY anymore.
I'm so glad I edited that yesterday just for someone like you. Guess you didn't actually read what you quoted, eh?
I didn't mention project fi because I couldn't care less about project fi.
(This is an old thread someone dug up from months ago. I saw my posts from back then, and it was originally Japan only. But I changed my post yesterday to reflect developments since then.)
