Many nice people on this site.
Whenever you have any issue with your tablet, please mention the full firmware version, tablet model. It will be easy for others to help you and answer your questions.
I have BTV-DL09 (LTE version , European ROM). My firmware is BTV-DL09C100B301. I just posted this https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72048190&postcount=8 in another thread. You can have a look at the screenshots of Android nougat on my tablet.
Enjoy & you will have more fun when you update to Nougat.(whenever you are ready)
Stock ROM is very stable on this tablet.

Thanks
Day 2 with the mediapad 3 and I am still having fun.
I am not sure what you mean by "full firmware version". I have Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) + Huawei Emotion UI 4.1. Is that what you mean? What benefit is there in updating to Nougat. I am a person who gets set in his way. I fought windows 10 as long as I could.

When I said full firmware version, I meant this -> BTV-DL09C100B301 (my firmware version)
BTV-DL09 is LTE version (supports sim) , BTV-W09 (WIFI only version) So full firmware version prevents ambiguity and unnecessary problems. The reason I told you is because there is BTV-DL09C233BXX and there is one more version which I don't remember at this moment. Each one is different because it specifies region. So if you have C100BXX and if you flash C233BXX on top of that. Then it might cause problems. So when you provide full firmware version, it makes it easier for others to help. Besides C233 has rooted version firmware available. So to know if you are one of those lucky people too you need to give full firmware version. To find full firmware version you check in Settings -> About .
Benefits of Nougat? It is beautiful, faster, smoother, even better battery life. I have posted screenshots of my tablet running nougat, that can give you a better idea. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72048190&postcount=8 By the way Windows 10 v1703 Creators update is really good! Fast boot speed, games are smooth, performance is really good. Edge is really good too. Cortana is soothing & enjoyable as always. I like it and totally recommend everyone who haven't used it. Both Nougat on Huawei Mediapad M3 & Windows 10 creators update too.
Hope you find this information useful.
Lot of effort goes in to typing my posts. Please don't forget to click on :good::good::good::good::good:::good::good::good::good: in my posts.
Thanks again
When I checked settings I find "Build number BTV-W09C128B003 " Is that also the "firmware version"?
How do I upgrade to Nougat? Seriously, could I run into problems doing this? With windows especially I kept hearing people complain of problems with upgrades. Things seem to be running well now and this is already the fastest tablet I have ever had by far!!!!! By the way I have Windows 10 now because older computer died and I had to get a new one with 10. Kind of like it.
Hello guys,
This is my first post, so thanks for any help before hand.
I have one of the phones that came with the infamous Oxygen bootloader.
And i am loking for help in order to update it to latest release avaliable.
I am on the android version 7.1.2, MiUI v9.0.3.0, my phone identifies itself as 5x, but from my understanding the only difference between the 2 version is the fingerprint sensor and a few cellular band support .
My ROM is a custom ROM that i found in another forum and flashed trought the miflash application.
I am not sure about the rom version yet, because the A1 has android Pie now, and the ROM for the X5 is still Oreo with the MiUI 10, so i am open to suggestions.
I would prefer to transform my phone into a A1 and get ride of the Oxygen bootloader if possible.
Ofc the best option is the safest way and the one that dosen t cripple my phone, because right now it works perfectly fine as day one, with exception to the battery lifetime, but i guess thats normal for a phone with 15 months.
Thanks for the help.
Im looking to upgrade my phone to install LOS without GAPPS cos im tired of waiting for my LIBREM5 phone. Does anyone have recommendations of the best phone to buy that is easy to install LOS on? My Axon 7 is a PITA to root. Im looking for something that will be supported further into the future.

Buy a used phone. Confirm with LineageOS.org it's officially supported.
I bought an axon 7 and i have semi installed lineageos 15.1 unofficial build.
The official wouldnt install because of an error 7 message. When this phone starts up it tells me its corrupted, that it wants me to lock the bootloader. It boots up but theres a couple of issues, like when i download an apk i cant find it because one of the processes has gone squiffy. So id like to install the official one, does it support the headphone amp/atmos feature? The one im using now doesnt.
I must add, the phone i got was a chinese one an im in the uk.
The error i got with the official release was this:
See picture. What has caused this?

If you can let me know also where i can download this best version ?
many thanks !
I'm sorry I don't know what the best version is, but these forums have at least two modern CM 16's for Axon7. One thread is

I would recommend updating to official 8.0 version B04. Works well and is an improvement over 7.1

Hi all I'm a noob and I am looking for a stable daily driver other than MIUI as it was slowing my phone down and using lots of battery power please suggest a stable ROM
Thank You in Advance.
I am sorry have forgotten to provide information of device
Redmi Note 7S - 4GB/64GB
48MP Camera
I have the same question. I have 2 Note 7 in the family on stock FW and I am getting more and more nervous about the missing security updates. What would be the best system for a noob user? Sadly it seems like Lineage official support was dropped recently. In the past my wife and kids did not have issues using LineageOS on other devices.
