Hi there,
So I formated my redmi 4 prime and installed TWRP and flashed Lineage OS 14.1. After finishing it up I noticed the screen rotation was not working. When I turn it to landscape, the screen goes to portrait. When I turn it straight, the screen goes landspace. It is literally switched.
I thought it woud be something wrong with the ROM so I flashed a MIUI miuipro_v6.0.1_markw_8.4.26 and for my surprise, the issue is still there. Also, when opening the compass app, the compass doesn't move, so I think something is wrong with the sensors.
I know it is not hardware because before flashing all this it was working properly.
Any advice?
Do a fastboot flash maybe!

hey, my problem is this one
i had stock android 1.6 and i put the 2.3.3 cyanogenmod android through fastboot
i lost boot animations, so when i turn on my phone it just vibrates a little and then i wait for it till it finally shows a black screen with light, then i touch the power button, so turn off the light, and then again, and i can use the phone.
but when i enter on recovery mode, it's the same, it just vibrates a little like before, but now it's just stucked, with no light, and nothing, it's off
the same thing happen with fastboot, but it works, i mean, i enter into fastboot and apparently nothing happens , no light, no nothing, but it works because it sends and write data
then i changed to cyanogenmod 2.3.5 and today through 2.3.7
that's why i know it works, but through fastboot, so i lost everything and it's kinda annoying
so i wanted to know if theres a way to fix this boot animations and the recovery thing, it doesnt show a light, nothing ..
and themes and updates are easier through recovery so i would like to have this thing working
apart from that, the phone works great
hope you can help me!
thanks in advance!

You will need to re-flash 2.3.7 again after doing this. Flash recovery and then flash 2.3.7 using that (or use fastboot if you wish). Make sure to backup all your data using Titanium Backup or MyBackup or something.
i dont understand, what do you mean by, "re flash 2.3.7", and flash recovery?
i dont understand flash recovery, and i have read that a lot of times..
i mean after doing the tutorial it just has an european room or something like that
after that i put 2.3.7 through fastboot
and then flash recovery? what is that? 2.3.7 doesn't come with recovery ? so i can use it without doing any of this?
sorry for the questions XD

Used an older version through odin
This ended up being sorted for me, as it just booted after about a half hour. But how, if you hit this red screen can you reflash? You aren't getting to dowload mode or recovery with that perma-red screen
lol, I spoke too soon again, was reflashing twrp after going back to a stock rom, this happened again for me only its not budging from red screen now. I can't get into download mode as I mentioned above too
hey guys I have the same
the phone dont even switch off
how did you fix it?
edit SOLUTION : I managed to reboot the phone with adb
add reboot
then I flashed the version 3.0.0.0 of TWRP and it worked !
Help!

I am having the same problem. Odin is stuck in "Setup Connection"
Do you have any ideas?
Thanks
You have probably flashed a wrong kernel.
The solution is to flash the right kernel for your device.
I was flashing S7 root on S7Edge

Lol. I have the very same problem: Flashed The Galaxy Project ROM and hit "update bootloader etc...." and now all I have is this red screen..... - Though the ROM worked for a couple of hours, but when I tried to enter the recovery I stock with this red screen. Cant even go into download mode...
Any help? How did you solved this issue?
I didn't, ****ty Rom just bricked it.
Just reflash the recovery or flash stock. I can't, my pc doesn't recognize my s7 anymore.
He doesn't even bother to mention that bug...

Same here. Only in my case I use this ROOM for weeks
Everytime i Flash TWRP i am stuck with a black screen when i try to enter recovery, i have tried a bunch of versions of it but nothing works
i am using a custom rom thats on Android 9, i was able to install it before this problem occurred:crying:
Its a bootloader problem. Try install stock marshmallow rom then it should work.

It seems to only work when I’m on marshmellow but when I try on nougat it just shows black screen, I think I found out it was something to do with a backlight issue or something :/

Ok that would make sense because my SM-T350 is on 7.1.1 (Nougat) and TWRP works fine.

May I ask what ROM you're using? I am looking for a custom ROM for my SM-T350
Same thing is happening with me, SM-T350 on Nougat 7.1.1 and it black screens when trying to boot into TWRP. ADB shows the device is in recovery mode, though.
Okay, I've been at this for a few hours and it seems like nothing is working. I have tried to root my phone but always came across issues. I can boot into TWRP but the screen is unresponsive. I've tried everything that I can google but not a lot of results have came up. My phone bootloader is unlocked, I'm using Debian Linux as my OS. if anyone can help, that'd be great.
can't swipe to unlock, whenever my phone is locked, the screen can't do anything. I know my screen is fine because whenever I'm not in TWRP, it works jus fine.

i got this error i tried another pc but the same and also tried twrp and another version of orange recovery
if i but into recovery manually i got black screen
please how to fix this??????
Since you've already flashed the recovery, simply boot to recovery manually, no need to try to boot the image (which doesn't seem to work on your device).

Use twrp 3.5.2, if the touchscreen is not working in twrp. don't worry, press the power key a few times
