Hi, I searched around but was unable to locate a member with a similar problem.
Issue:
- I applied the Joying 01 March, 2018 firmware to my JY-JM001N2. MCU version is 5.25 800*480
- All seemed to go fine, head unit rebooted
- When the unit started I get an MCU update screen. The top is green with a MCU and some Chinese writing which I do not understand
Has anyone experienced this and have tips or tricks they can pass along?
Many thanks,
Dan
if everything work, and u just need to hide this message u can use the sofia xposed module

As you are on the stock joying ROM, you probably downloaded the wrong firmware. Did you download the 1024x600 version or the 800x480 version?

Yeah, initially I thought I applied the wrong one. I downloaded it from Joying again and applied with the same issue.
Firmware - 01 March, 2018
MCU: 5.25
Resolution: 800*480

Interesting, I have two Joying head units, one JY-JL001N2 and a JY-JM001N2. Both use the same firmware and the JL took fine whereas the JM has the issue. I sent an email to Joying because I just got the JM and the Zlink wasn't working right. I wanted to reapply the latest firmware to see if it'll help but just caused the MCU issue. They replied asking for the download link, I suspect they're checking if I applied the wrong one.
I successfully applied an older firmware from around August 2017, no more message but the radio and sound is all messed up. I then reapplied the latest firmware with the same MCU message.
Thanks!

Thanks, I'll give it a shot!
Well, I ended up using an old firmware from around August 2017 and the MCU message went away. I then installed the latest March 2018 update and it finally took. I’m posting this follow up so if someone else has a similar issue they can give this a go.
Joying support wasn’t very helpful although they do reply quickly. I think they should just have an auto reply email saying “do a factory reset” as this is basically all the advice they seem to give.
Hi,
Having same problem with you. Can I have link to download 2017 firmware.

Joying 10.1" 4.4.4 single din - MCU identify - 2016-06-27 14:48:19 JY_60_C6R_7706_500
Hi i have bought and installed this 10.1" car stereo running kitkat 4.4.4. The MCU of this device doesn't seem to be one of the two common ones discussed on here?
Under MCU version it says 2016-06-27 14:48:19 JY_60_C6R_7706_5006_CAN(A)_Newlap
Does this mean anything to anyone? Im new to android.
Things id like to change about my device is
- be able to play an apps (foxtel go) that says it won't play on a rooted device (if possible)
- increase the amount the screen can dim or be able to turn the screen off
no one? is this MCU version unknown to everyone?

I have a 7" 2 din joying HU with the same MCU version. I hope someone can help identify which group this is. Thanks.
same here
I too have the same issue.
I bought an 8" 1DIN 4.4.4 unit and also have an odd MCU name/version.
JY_60_C6R_7706_5006_CAN(D)_Newlap
And also have the same issues that are listed in this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/android-head-units/help-rkpx3-command-recovery-t3432371
None of this make sense.
I have posted these same things on Joying's forum and have only heard from other users. No one from Joying has chimed in yet.

MCU Version 4.3.10.1-1-10-610101

Decoding the MCU version gives me:

Can I flash this to Android 5.1 with the Malaysk package? Which one?
Any suggestions welcome.

Any luck IM LOOKING FOR THE SAME? Where did you get your 4.4.4 update from, CHEERS
Folks, I have seen a couple of requests for more info re my Xtrons unit recently.
Sorry for this late reply but I am travelling in my van and at the moment have done almost 10, 000km in the past 4 weeks. Presently on the very west coast of WA.
Sorry, but I simply can't recall where I got the upgrade - though I can say it worked fine though when Xtrons folk tried to help with an unrelated issue the solution involved reinstalling the original Android version. Sorry. I will TRY to find where I got it when I'm home again.
I must tell you though that I had months of trouble with the unit leading up to the reinstalling of the original O/S. THAT did not solve the problem. In the end, when I had to put a new battery in the car and do some underbonnet work the battery was out for 2 days. When I put it back in the head unit worked fine!
In the subsequent 6 weeks there has been one "no boot" instance.
Through the months if issues, no variation of resetting changed things. Installing the original code didn't work. It was only totally powering down the unit that worked.
FWIW and for ?reference.

Hi any ideas what unit this is and how I can find an update. The sellers from aliexpress are less than helpful.
Looks fairly similar to mine apart from the screen res.
I couldn’t find original firmware for mine either and the seller wouldn’t send it to me, so I bit the bullet and flashed a joying Sofia firmware after reading up that they were very similar. I also took the back off the head unit to find out what it actually was and found it was a FYT6021 which meant I could also then flash the GTX rom which I what I’m currently running on it.
Now you have updated the firmware to the gtx rom, what version android did it update it to? Any issues with stuff not working with the new rom?
Hi all
I might have bought the only android device in the entire China, that is un-root-able. :crying:
It is a ZOYOSKII fra Aliekspress with following info:
10,4" screen
Android 9 PIE
CPU Info: CPU:Intel X86_OCTA-CORE 1.8Ghz SC9853 4+64Gb
MCU Version: 2019.10.15 09:51:58 XHCN_53_l82_G23P48F64_Ver:1.0
It seems like the "new" intel processors is not the most used in the industri.
The only other i have seen, is the Joying devices, but i havent been able to find a root that i dear to use on this unit.
Can you help with a root-build for this or can i use some allready-existing root?
Thanks.
There is no "ready to use" rooted build for any SC9853 unit.
You need to use the way as described in the Joying thread and build your own rooted boot.img.

1st of all: You need to get in contact with your seller to get the OEM firmware.
2nd: Install the Joying Extra tools by @surfer63
3rd: continue with posting a screenshot from the extra tool
did you end up finding any information on this unit?
I bought one off of a friend that has the same information and I can't seem to get a few things working
Do you know the Security Code for this unit?
Have you got the latest build?
3368 is the code I believe
have you got something new for your head unit. my head unit also the same, I used joying firmware and root but not compatible
I have the same headunit, has anyone figured out how to root this device from this seller (ZOYOSKII)? I have multiple issues with the headunit, and would be great to collaborate. Another seller (Sinosmart) has the same unit, is the firmware / rooting process the same?
I have one of these too, i need to root so I am able to hide the navbar at the top.
Any updates on this? I just bought a used car with this already installed. I just want carplay and a newer version update.
Hi I bought my Outlander 2nd hand this year and there was an Android head unit in it. I thought I had the right MCU update but I was wrong and now resolution is all wrong.
I need to figure out what make and model it so I can hard reset and install correct MCU software.
The original MCU was mtce_kgl_v2.70_2.
The model A-MEDIA AUTO (800x480w)
The SKU is K017G60LPX5.
Thanks ?

You have the information already. Download the MCU from here. It's an updated version 3.10 and should work. If it doesn't then try this one that is the same version that you had.
