pa_therm0 - Xiaomi Mi A1 Questions & Answers

Hello!
Bought Xiaomi Mi A1 3 months ago, it comed in Nougat, after that i updated it to Oreo. Iv been using Oreo until April security patch where i decided to flash Resurection Remix Rom. I flashed it and enjoyed it. After using that rom, i decided to flash back to stock rom. I downloaded stock rom from XDA (Plus i tried downloading from en.miui.com)and flashed it trough Mi Flash Tool. After flashing it everything was fine until i noticed that device heat up a litle bit after watching YT, Browsing and it heat up litle bit more when playing hard game like PUBG.
I installed CPU-Z to see senzors temperature and i noticed something that dont seems its okay. Senzor called "pa_therm0" is 80°C, is this even normall?
Other senzors seems "fine". I never had heating issue when it came out of the box. This heating isnt serrius but its anoying. Also i want to ask here if device is in warranty? I did unlocked bootloader, flashed twrp and flashed Resurection Remix, but i reflashed stock rom and locked bootloader, just as it came out of the box.
Also what is charging time for Mi A1? My device seems that its charging faster than when it came out of the box(not fast charging) after reflashing stock rom.

patherm_0 is 80c + on RN4 too .. and device is working fine. it's now a year old .. its safe. i think its sensor issue or maybe the location of sensor. in my case it never exceeds 85c and never goes below 75c .

Here is screenshot after playing PUBG and internet surfing, is it normally?
Okay so pa_therm0 is normall? Nothing to worry?
Also did i recovered warrant after re-flashing stock rom? Thanks for reply!

Looks like normal to me I'm on latest RR and mine is 74 and 75 maybe I did underclocked my cpu. My device charge full in one and a half hour.
And don't worry about heating issue I can feel your concern I feel that when I brought my first android phone. On over heat it's gonna shut down automatically.
Yes your warranty is back you can claim your warranty for any further damage just make sure your device oem unlock is disabled.

As long as you flashed stock rom and locked the bootloader, warranty is fine

Thanks for the all answers, really helped me!

I've got the same, dont worry, its normal.

[Q] Lollipop Update has slowed down phone performance, Games Lagging, Overheating

Hi,
This may sound repetitive but I think it is important for me to put this issue up.
Ever since I upgraded my Yureka to Lollipop, my phone seems to have lost a major chunk of it's performing speed. Low performance level games like Subway Surfer, Temple Run 2 etc. which used to run flawlessly before the upgrade now are all laggy and heat the phone up like crazy. My phone used to heat up only after playing games like Asphalt 8 before the upgrade, but even then the game never lagged. Now all games heat the phone up and lag after a minute or so of playing. The phone heats up even on stand by. I don't want to get back to CM11 but I am starting to think I don't have a choice.
Is there anything at all that you people can suggest for this? I'm desperately looking for a fix. I have not rooted the phone, ever. Suggest if anything can be done without rooting the device.
There are some major issues with stock CM12... U got to deal with it or have the choice to downgrade to KK But my suggestion would be to root the device & install Resurrection Remix Rom which is 5.1.1 & it seems to have ignorable bugs... U can try performance oriented kernel to get the max perfomance & there are a handful out there which are 5.1.1 compatable...
(Rooting doesn't void ur warranty, then why u prefer not to root? )
Just looking for options without having to root

Thanks for your reply, actually I wanted a permanent fix to this issue and if possible without the root, it would have been better. Is there no other possibility?
Well this is permanent fix. I am also using Resurrection rom with Sandy's kernel and everything is fine. No lags, no overheating, and charging time has also reduced.
Want to install Resurrection ROM

Phone crashes when battery is less than %50

At the moment I am running the latest version of LinageOS. Installing it was no problem at all, but sometimes when my battery life is 50-40% and less opening some apps will crash for no reason at all. The OS I was running before was Android 6.0 (Before I went to Lineage I tried to root my phone and almost screwed it up so I had to go back to 6.0) and the same thing was happening. As far as I can remember before I tried unlocking bootloader and doing other such things my device wouldn't crash running Android 7.0 but all of a sudden my phone would crash and every crash it would take away quite a bit of battery life which is annoying. So far I haven't found any soloution so I thought I'd try my luck here. Thanks!
did you tried to install stock rom 7.0 ?
My advice for you is to use either Resurrection Remix or invictaOS roms since they are even more customised and opstimised and far better than lineage. I am using Resurrection Remix from last year and i do not experience a single problem. Apps crashing have no relation with your battery. Its Rom related problem.

Insane battery drain

hi guys, i had this battery drain that made me go around with a 20k mah powerbank everyday for a while and i bought a new battery thinking it was a hardware issue but at least in the past day(i tried it only for a day) the new battery isn't any better, i also use greenify and naptime but still comes from 100 to 40 in 1 hour or less, is there a fix to that?
I'm currently running rr official nougat 5.8.3 with franco 3.10 kernel i don't know anymore what to do
i tried battery configurator but didn't help.
i also changed the type c connector but i don't think it has anything to do, i swapped it when i changed the battery.
I'm not sure how much my answer is going to help but please try to upgrade the OP2 firmware to the latest one and then clean install the custom OS on it. It happened to me too but not to an extent of yours and it got fixed by clean flashing the custom ROM. P.S I was already on the latest OP2 firmware.

Heat issues

I got a second-hand X Compact a few days ago and went ahead installing TWRP and Lineage 16 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/x-compact/development/rom-lineageos-16-0-xperia-x-compact-t4080903). It seems to run fine, but I feel like the phone is creating heat on the top half of the device even when I'm not doing anything.
Does someone have similar issues with this model, or could it be an issue with the ROM?
It's a very new rom so chances are there are some issues with it. Have you tried AOSP rom? I'd do a clean install and see if you run into the same problem.

ROM compatible with LEX727 US model ??

I revived my Leeco Pro 3 US LEX727 after a long time.
The USB port became problematic, it doesn't connect to the computer all the time. I wanted to try a few custom ROMs. The phone still runs very well. But the issue is, with the custom roms I have tried so far (LOS and AICP) the charging speed is painfully slow, like 1% increase in an hour. I went back to stock, and looks like the stock Chinese ROM also have this charging issue.
Only thing that works for charging is the US stock ROM. I am not sure if it is due to my buggy USB port, or everyone have this issue.
Does anybody know a good custom ROM than may work well with the US LEX727? Or, any other way yo solve this issue?
Thanks.
