What's the best custom ROM in terms of battery life?
I would use Resurrection Remix and tweak it with Greenify and other battery saving apps, I would also use its wakelock blocker. Thats good combination I guess.
I Can say for sure, Aim rom is one off the best in battery. Just put greenify and it will hold a lot.
In my opinion every custom ROM has good battery life (or slightly similar), it also depends on kernel which they use.

So, despite performance being something I am heavily interested alongside with pretty themes(minimalist) I really do care about something manufacturers don't give a **** about any more and that is battery life.
My question is directed towards i9500 users, I am trying to figure out which rom has best battery performance, all CM roms seem to be underperforming+ poor battery life.. I am looking for something that supplies me with REALLY good battery performance, can you guys tell me which rom does it for you?
what you are looking for is kernel rather than a rom.
all touchwiz based roms will give you +- the same performance and battery life.
to increase battery life you should Tweak your system with Greenify, Unbounce and Kernel so you could undervolt your cpu.

You can try RR unofficial with Blu Spark Kernel. It has an fully working OOS Stock Cam and comes with YouTube Adaway and background player. Also i get 9 hours SOT with the default kernel profile and no heavy multitasking. Or wait for an unreleased ROM, can't say the name yet, cause it's in an Testing Phase.:highfive:
What kind of battery life are you currently getting? Are you running stock OOS with the stock kernel? Switching to a custom ROM to improve battery life seems extreme if you haven't explored any options on your current ROM to improve battery life first. Are you trying to improve SOT? Reduce idle drain? Both?

Yeah, install EX kernel, significantly under-volt and under-frequency it, and install one of these super aggressive EX profiles that put half your cores to sleep. The delete all apps you don't use, particularly system apps, and Greenify everything else, turn off push notifications and location services, and turn down screen brightness to a minimum. While you are at it lock the phone in a volt to keep you from turning on the screen. You will get great battery life alright, but you may not like using the phone :banghead:

For those who are using/have used AEX 4.6, can you please show me battery stats or tell me about its battery life along with SOT, standby time, etc. Also can you tell me what battery optimizations or mods like custom kernel, Greenify have you used? I wanted to check the average battery life for this ROM.
I'm using AICP with Llama Sweet Kernel. My battery life goes from 100% to about 45% in the first 2 hours after unplugging!
GSAM Battery Monitor shows dozens of wakelocks from Android Kernel and Android Core Apps.
I'm using Greenify.
What ROM will give me better battery life? I'd prefer LOS based ROMs because I like Privacy Guard (but I'm open to alternative privacy solutions).
