Update Android 7.0 for SM-G930F / SM-G935F (D at your own risk)

Hello my friends,
Today I will show you how to get the fastest nougat on your S7 / S7 EDGE.
Firmware flashen on the SM-G930FD / SM-G935FD at your own risk.
I accept no liability if your device does not work anymore!
This firmware can also be flashed on an S7 Edge SM-G935FD.
But this only happened at your own risk.
Download to Samfirm v 3.6 first.
Then open SamFirm and enter the following:

It could be that the update on Android 7.0 is no longer available since Samsung has stopped the roll-out because of too many bugs.

Look under software info what is there. If there is G930F / G935F this method works. Should there be something different then this does not work

I guess that this does wipe data ?

The official Canadian version is the Exynos device! unless you bought the unlocked version!

If you download this firmware, you have to flash this by Odin. If you flashst them all your data will be lost. So before everything save and then flash.

How do i tell? it was sent to me when i returned my note 7. I got an unlock code with it, so i am not sure.

The 7 update isnt showing up for me after the update...

I went back to stock firmware because I had rooted my phone with a rom so I went back to stock with a 6.0.1 mm firmware. A lot of people from the uk are getting this update although I haven't yet haha?
The official one that is.

If your device is rooted and you do the original firmware flashing, your device will be officiel again

Yeah it "Was" rooted then I flashed the original firmware back on it although forgot to go into Super Su to unroot but the flash did it for me but then tripped knox lol.
Yeah I thought I was on official again but my mate has got the official update from nougat and I haven't lol (We live close)

According to a few websites, the official update was stopped because of bugs again. Wait a bit and update the OTA again. Actually, this should work. If it does not go with you Samsung has stopped the update again.

The update is about 1.2 GB, and, especially in China, ran into some bugs initially, and was reportedly pulled before being re-released today. As to when will it hit the non-Exynos versions sold on US carriers, remains to be seen, but the wait shouldn't be long now that the beta testing phase is done and dusted. So ???

Some quick questions please..
1. What does BTU mean?
2. Will i be able to install this on 935fd without any probs?

I have a galaxy s8 from at&t (SM-G950U) which i unlocked to use with other carriers. As at&t doesn't send OTA without their,i haven't received any updates yet. Baseband version is stil G950USQU1AQC9 and android security patch from march 1,2017..it would be helpful if someone provided me with the necessary update files as i am completely new to this

2. Good luck finding att fw anywhere unless someone has posted it here like in the link.
3. I'd just run the unlocked XAA FW if I were you. If you're not in att why run their fw with all their bloat?

Which particular XAA fw should i be using?. I just can't find the perfect guide. N will start getting OTA updates after flashiing the XAA firmware

You want the XAA that's at the top of the page. Yes, it updates like any other.

Update to nougat and take out at&t

hi everyone, I just bought a s7 edge from internet the thing is I'm french and received an at&t model ( what a mistake I wanted the exynos ) well the phone works but can't update it how could a I do to put nougat and later oreo if it come to this device? is it possible to take out that at&t and just have a rom s7. Download this U firmware and install using odin. It's a universal firmware for the AT&T S7 Edge, does not have any AT&T crap on it. It also doesn't have VoLTE & wifi calling, but who cares, it works just fine. I have an AT&T S7 Edge and I'm using this myself. I love it and it always get the OTA updates fast. This is the latest firmware with the January security patch. Enjoy and hope this helps. This is Android 7.0 Nougat

I tried it but odin tells me model dismatch which it's a bit weird i used odin 3.12.3. how did you flash it ?

Follow the instructions on this guide but use the Nougat G935UUES4BRA1 firmware you downloaded;

I used this version of ODIN by princecomsy

Everything is working on my AT&T Galaxy S7 Edge, including my GPS running the 935U firmware. By the way the firmware was just updated to G935UUES4BRC1 March security patch.

Yeah he did the update OTA which it's nice that's mean I will get the next one much easier. Ok i actually wanted to wipe cache so I restart on recovery mode. And it just put me a yellow triangle and it was write no command :/ I don't think that's normal I have to find something but thanks

The latest firmware update is G935UUEU4BRD1 April Security Patch. I always update OTA via the software update in the setting menu and it downloads quick.

What firmware version are you on right now? If you want to go to SM-G935U then you have to start with the base of January and then update from there via OTA.

Just so there's no confusion here, no one person "updated it OTA". What you have is an official U rom which fetches updates whenever Samsung pushes them out.

If your on the U version, then go to Settings then Software Update and then tap Download Updates Manually. It should force an update. If not, download the updates from Sammobile and flash them using Odin.

Thank you! My S7 Edge ATT SM-G935A is on Marshmallow 6.0.1 now. Can I flash directly to the latest version or I need to go from the base on first and go 1-by-1 up to the latest?

Reverting Back to Unbranded Unlocked Firmware - Please help

Hello all,
My problem is as follows:
I have the SM-G950U USA Galaxy s8, Unbranded and unlocked. I flashed the Samsung UI beta firmware back in January which put me on T-Mobile firmware. I have been trying to flash back to the unbranded unlocked firmware, but have not found it available anywhere online.
I would like to revert back to my original unbranded firmware because now I do not receive any software updates, as when I go to software update in settings I get the message, "Your current software version is not supported. Visit a service center." I therefore can only update by flashing releases through Odin. I flashed the March security patch update from Tmobile recently, so that is what I am currently running.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just check the bootloader version and flash U1 fw in odin. You may need patched odin. Updato or samfirm should be able to get the u1 fw no issue.

5th digit from far end of your current firmware as of now is 1 though 5 what ever it is you need a u1 firmware equal to or greater than

So I flashed XAA firmware off of Sam mobile. The files did not have the "userdata" file - after flashing my phone has Sprint userdata and has two Sprint system applications. Is there anyway to get rid of Sprint entirely and completely revert to unbranded? Flashing the G950U1 XAA got me back to receiving automatic updates, but has not gotten rid of the phone being branded...

You can't get to One UI 2 beta on the AT&T firmware because that's Android 10 beta and AT&T didn't opt into the Samsung beta program. You'll have to wait until the final OTA update release OR flash the unlocked U1 firmware or the T-mobile firmware. I think you can it that way.

The zip has been posted here. I had SI4 and manually flashed the zip through stock recovery.

Latest AT&T update is G975USQU2BSIP Dated Oct. 10 But to Flash Beta you Must be on BSI4

Your best bet is www.Sammoble.com. It is a slow download unless you have paid account, but it works.

I have the ATT version, but I cannot receive updates via FOTA, because I live abroad and I am not connected to the ATT network, some way or way to receive updates without having to use ODIN.
The last question.
I can Flash U1 having the N975U ATT Version, is there any risk to do this?

I need the BSI4 version of the U1 ATT. The sammobile download is super slow and will take 3 days to download lol. Does anyone have an alternate link? I'd appreciate it. Im trying to install the one ui 2.0 beta. Thanks

I need the BSI6 AT&T firmware ODIN file, but it doesn't seem to exist. Not even on Samsung's firmware site.

The beta can be flashed on the U1 ATT BSI4 version correct?

Just the one that comes with the rom you download. It will set up right by your sim card.
The latest rom I have is BSIV before I started receiving Beta FOTA's which are now up to ZSK9. I used the noname rom and it setup for me as VZW/VZW/VZW. Even if it sets up as XXX/XXX/ATT it will work great.

Beta 4 G975USQU2ZSK9 came out today. Its on firmware.science Login in first.

My AT&T branded S10 plus here just updated to BSIW with November 2019 security patch. You can download AT&T firmware from this pay site here: http://www.gsm2file.com/

You would have had to be on Pie G975USQS2BSI4 to install the first, Beta 1 and then on up the line to now Beta 4 You cannot install Beta on your current version of BSIW because there is no download file for doing it. that I know of.
