Hi,
I have TM580. It's not able to play back AC3 audio.
I know I can install MX player (or alike) and enable AC3 audio. However, some of the app I use have built-in player and it won't be able to play back AC3.
Is there any way to enable this for all players?
Thanks

Hello all, I'd like to use my transformer for some movies and some training video. For the most part, moboplayer is great. WMV however is coming up with static-y audio and cuts in and out. Useless for audio part. I've switched it to softwae decoding already but no luck. Anyone knows of a player that can play wmv fine with audio? If not I guess I'll have to try and convert the videos.
What audio codec is used in the WMV's? I have a dozen or so WMV movies and they play fine in Mobo. You have downloads and installed the codec pack as well?
No need for mobo or other third party player, the google stock player is working very well with wmv, even in 720p.
Hello, I hear really distorted bass when playing any HE-AAC v2 file in every player (PowerAmp, N7Player, Winamp, PlayerPro, etc.) which use default audio HW decoder. The oly 2 players which do software decoing are RockPlayer (opctional) and Picus Audio Player. But I really need N7Player working, so is there any build.pro setting to disable audio HW decoding?
Same tracks in any other formats play well in any player, the problem is just on HE-AAC v2 format.
The default video player cannot play DTS or AC3 audio which is annoying... Only video HD player on playstore seems to work... is it possible to install the ac3 and DTS codec so that all players can play them? The problem is I want to play some 3d movies with google cardboard and these players do not play the audio
I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this in, or instead the MX Player forums, but I keep reading persistent claims that people are successfully bitstreaming lossless (TrueHD and DTS-HD-MA) audio to their AVR via the MX Player app on NVidia Shield.
My library consists of uncompressed Blu Ray rips made using MakeMKV. I take the lossless audio codec whenever available.
For the life of me, I can't seem to get proper playback. If I enable HW+, video plays with no audio. If I disable HW+ in favor of "HW", I get neither audio or video.
I haven't downloaded or installed any extra codecs specifically for MX Player yet... currently, within settings, it says I have "Use ARMv7 type custom codec".
Anybody having success with this care to expound on what settings are making this work?
