Hi everyone, I am facing a dilemma while rooting my TA-1033 that is currently on build no. 00WW_5_22A_SP01
I want to have a full firmware file to flash in case something goes wrong during the process.
Can anyone link me to the correct firmware, or is there perhaps cross compatibility between different models
e.g. I may be able to flash TA-1021 firmware?
Thanks in advance for your help

You came to right place, but let me tell u
To get official and regular update, u need to follow some steps
I can guarantee that u will be on ur official ta-1033 not on other ta-10xx
Here are the steps
1. Goto this link
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-6/how-to/updated-mirror-link-ota-monthly-updates-t3733784
2. Download only mena firmware and December OTA zip from first row
3. Goto recovery (stock one, if u dont have then flash the stock recovery through twrp) install December OTA zip, you will get error but dont worry, just reboot
4. if u now see the nougat stock recovery then u r downgraded the bootloader too.
5. Reboot into bootloader or download mode.
6. Install mena firmware( i know it shows ta-1033 in setting menu but internally its ta-1025)(just dony worry).
7. After flashing mena firmware, connect to wifi network and hit system updates, u will get the official 8.0.0 either January or February ota update directly.( Remember this official update will change your ta-1025 to ta-1033 internally and make u official again)
8. After official oreo 8.0.0, you will get next monthly updates
i.e., February, Marchh then 8.1.0 March, then april
Done you will be on ur official ta-1033, not on ta-1025(mena)
I did few days ago and m on my regular and official ta-1021
Enjoy
Thanks for your help, I'll test it out tomorrow and let you know if I encounter any problems!

Ah! I'm PLK-L01C432B121 so I'm guessing that's B121 then?
I tried the updater and it said no updates available so is B121 the up to date firmware for the UK??
Also, does this updater update the firmware as well as the Android operating system i.e Lollypop to Marshmallow ?
yes, it's exactly what it does

yeah its easy bro just do what i say download this file (i will gave link in the last of comment ) its update from b121 to 130 and then i will gave the link of update from b130 to b140 and if u intressting so i will gave the last link its to Android M from b140 to b320 and u asking now how ?
u will get a file called Update and so u will creat a new foldar in sd card or in ur phone and u have to change the name to dload and u will put the Update inside and so u finsh u will go to uppdate center and then menu and then local and so u will find the file press on it and so the phone will restart and will finsh it self and then do the same thing again to the next update.
impo Note:
u have to unroot if u are rooted
u have to uppdate one by one like from b121 to b130 and then to b140 and so.. not from b121 to b140 .
sorry for bad english i gave u everything u need. i did that to my phone and it work with me and shoud work with u

Ha! Great minds thinking alike! I haven't used the links above (yet) as further checking on the Honor site under downloads still listed the B121 as the latest update from late last year. Think my plan will be to hang fire and see if it updates to Marshmallow in the coming weeks like the web is saying it will.

Yes, i think to wait as well as i read some threads about dead phones after manual updates and i don't want to lost my new phone
EDIT: I didn't hold on and i flashed the updater file (B121>B140) that you can find it here. I flashed it and all went well.
EDIT 2: I've also flashed 140>170 zip and so far so good is better than 121 initially version.
Edit 3: I'm going to install as well 170>180 update from general section
Edit 4 (FINAL): Upgraded, satisfied, chrome is not lagging so frequently any more and now i can access online theme store. Before once opened the theme app it only showed me the local themes available
Hey guys i have question. I am currently on 24.11.18.lux.reteu.reteu.en.En reteu. I flashed this with a link that was posted on here before the update for 6.0 came to my country. The update that came OTA was 24.41.33 (with the januari patch). I never received this and am wondering if i will still get updates in the future or if I have to keep doing this myself. I am not rooted or anything. I just updated with the link that was posted here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-play/help/marshmallow-ota-uk-t3277756/post64971862#post64971862
So basically:
I flashed from 5.1.1 to 6.0 myself with link posted here through recovery mode.
I now have 24.11.18. (december patch)
Others in my country that just waited have 24.41.33. (januari patch)
What do I do now in order to get updates? Wait and it will come? Or do i have to keep updating myself?
Hope everything is clear. :good: Thanks in advance.

The best to do is flash the 5.1.1 factory image for your model and location. And then updating through the normal way. Not manually
Thanks. I'm not sure how to go about doing that. So updates wont come to my phone anymore OTA? I've read on here that the 6.0.1 update should arrive soon. I'm new to all this and don't want to risk breaking my phone. Maybe it's better to wait? I'm from the Netherlands too btw.

You should have the january security patch, if you dont and dont have an update you need to flash the factory image. If you don't want to brick your phone you shouldnt flash updates manually in the first place.
You can also try this: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24421527759884307 which is the flashable zip for the dutch 6.0 firmware (but you need twrp and unlocked bootloader for that.
But you probably need to download and flash this: https://www.google.com/url?q=https:...sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNGTQx60cH6emtbDNwtOZh-3m7Mdww
And follow this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/general/guide-fastboot-flashing-factory-t3187750
(doesn't need an unlocked bootoader
Thanks. I think I'll just wait until 6.0.1 arrives here in NL and see if it let's me update too before i try and do all this.
Had my A2017G for a few months, but still stuck on v1.0.0b06 with no available OTA updates.
Will I manually have to flash it to a android 7 version then will I be able to receive OTA?
Any guidance is much appreciated.
It really depends on where your device is from. That build may very well be the most up-to-date build released. Check the ZTE support site to be sure.
If you want to go to nougat right away, I'd suggest manually installing the German update zip / installing the leaked 7.1.1 B01 zip floating around. Afterwards, you'll receive the OTA prompt for the 7.1.1 B02 build.

Yes, you need to download nougat image from ztedevices then push it to SD card and update to nougat will be available via system updater.

So I won't need a build 10 to do the update to nougat?

I forgot if it's required. But no harm in doing the updates incrementally. The German support page has the B10 update, as well as the 7.0 update. Then the 7.1.1 B01 leak can be found around here. These of course are all for the A2017G variant.
If you intend to unlock your bootloader, I'd suggest doing so before upgrading to nougat.

Thanks. I'll give that a try when I'm home. Is this becoming stuck on certain software versions common on the A7?
Also in hoping in the future OTA works normally. Apart from this, the phone is solid all-around.

This is the full ota for V1.2.0B01: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767151720
I'd suggest you manually update to V1.0.0B10 and then to V1.2.0B01.
You can find t he V1.0.0B10 on the ztemobile.de page: http://www.ztemobile.de/support/downloads/?product_id=2100 (Software Update B10)
I'd skip going to Nougat 7.0 first. Just upgrade directly to 7.1.1 with the full ota I posted.
Copy both of the files onto your sd card. They will then appear in the Updater (Settings -> Updates). Just run the upgrade from there.
Be aware! As previously stated by @oleung4 unlock your bootloader before upgrading. I unlocked mine on B06.

It gets more complicated starting with (afaik) V1.0.0B11. If you want the easy way I'd suggest you do it before you upgrade past B10, I would even say do it before upgrading from B06.

First: Check that you didn't put the zip with the buncha numbers. If you open the zip you should find an update.zip and a pdf or something, and you have to use the update.zip inside. NOT directly the one with the numbers!
Second: Your phone probably won't find the file on the OTG, if so just copy the file from the OTG to the root of the internal storage
Ah....
I unzipped it.....
Okay so still no joy, neither of the files would update

You almost brick the phone. Tell me a couple of things:
-What's the model? Turn it around and look below the Dolby Atmos symbol, it should be etched there. Either A2017 or G or U.
-I see that your software is of the A2017G. You probably have an A2017.
-What's the version that you downloaded? If it is for another version you can lose the IMEIs.
I have a similar issue. I have an A2017G. I had LOS on and am trying to go back to stock. I can get MM B10 or B11 to load, but N B01 won't flash within Android and if I force it from within recovery, the phone won't boot. anyone any smart ideas?
I have a Zenfone 3 Z012DE and I do not know what firmware to install, since I have seen different models in the roms and otas uploaded to the forum, I do not know how to check the correct model to which my equipment corresponds
Is possible update to Nougat?, not link for my Firmware of my model ...
Edit: ZE552KL (Asus Z012DE)
Thanks
First off, as a new user I am unable to supply you the link directly to the page but I can direct you to where you would find your update:
If you search in Google "Zenfone 3 Z012DE" (Without quotation marks obviously) then the first link should be an Asus page. Once the page opens, you will see a bunch of gallery pictures of your device, near the top right under the search bar you should see Support, click it. Then, go to Driver & Tools, select Android as your OS and a few boxes should appear. On the second box, you will see the latest Nougat update for your device (WW-14.2020.1706.53). If you notice in your screenshot, your software code starts with WW, only download firmwares that start with WW off Asus support page since those are the only ones that will work with your devices. Unfortunately, if your phone works the same way as mine, your build indicates the date 09/09/2016 which means the latest update may not work because it will refuse to update on a build that is older than 01/20/2017 (I think that's the exact date) in which case you will have to download and upgrade each version at a time until you get to the lastest firmware.
To install the updates, copy them over to an SD card from a PC or download it through your phone and make sure you know where to find it on the SD card, boot into recovery and hit update from SD card.

Good afternoon, I can install firmware ww15 (Android 8) ASUS_Z012DE?
At the moment I have the firmware WW_13.20.10.152.
Do I have to install the firmware WW_14.2015.1701.8 and then the WW_14.2020.1706.53?
Or can I move from the WW_13.20.10.152 firmware directly to WW-15.0410.1712.31 or WW-15.0410.1801.40?

Hi everybody,
I'm new here, I have bought my first sony (used) but I notice that the LTE signal is so poor specially indoor. The seller hasn't saw me that the firmware is an UK fw also I live in italy, infact, after a little research, I noticed that there is a carrier's app called EE and the fw version installed is of EE carrier's. The phone is sim unlock. There isn't root and I haven't unlook the bootloader.
My questions are:
- Can I change the stock uk firmware putting in an Italian stock firmware?
- Can I change it without root and without unlook the bootloader?
- How?
- Is there a guide that I can follow?
- Can I change the CSC for preserve the ota upgrade? How? I'd like to change fw preserving OTA update.
I don't wanna unlock the bootloader and root the phone cause I don't want lose the DRM licenses (widevine specially). I'm not interested to rooting or make any modding.
I'd like to put a stock room without bloat apps and with a strong lte signal.
Here the Info about the phone:
F8331
Android 8.0
Phone Software Version: 1302-9157_41.3.A.2.171
Global-LTE3A
Generic-41.3.a.2.171

I think it should be possible to just Flash another Regions Firmware via Androxydes Flashtool.
No need for unlock as long as u have any offical fw (XperiFirm comes with Flashtool and downloads offical files)
But I may be wrong tho, this just came to my mind in the first moment

You can flash any region's firmware without unlocking the bootloader. You need Xperifirm to download the firmware, and Flashtool to flash it.

Since it's an official firmware, you always get updates OTA (i think XZ will no longer get updates but no need to worry). I didn't see any guide to flash, i'll probably today write a guide to flash firmwares.
