ost 6.04 tool - Nokia 6 Questions & Answers

Hi guy,s will this tool work on 2nd gen Nokia 6 ,cos I can't get it to flash mena package without failing with errors ,it constantly freezes at flashing partition, partition any help appreciated

it fails at flashing partition,partition(CIN-0-0 64 D-gpt-both0-bin) its driving me crazy

Same here

6.0.4 does not work with Oreo bootloader. I'm not sure you can downgrade bootloader to Nougat for 2nd gen Nokia, even though Chinese version was launched with Nougat it was immediately upgraded to Oreo. The only way to flash with 6.0.4 is to open up the phone and short test point to enter EDL mode.

OK I'll try it with fastboot, as mine is unlocked. I guess I'll take the risk, however I believe that it should work.

yd201 bootloop for ever??

Please. Any ideas. Are the anothers methodes to install firmware for my yd201? I have tried yotaflasher, fastboot, twmp who are really installed the filles, .imgs but my phone restart in botloop with logo android. I have unloked mt phone and i ca't return it, i have losed d:crying:e warenty
The only method surefire method is still using yotaflasher and check the output while flashing to see if everything goes right. If you get a chunk error on the system partition flash this partition by hand using fastboot. If this (and all the other methods you mention) don't work there may be something wrong with your phone.
Have you already tried flashing back to the HK version to see if that works?
Today i have installed all the firmware Ru and it was ok. No errors but. After restart bootloader with logo by android. My phone is a yd201 international version buyed under www.coolicool.com The original soft it was HK? I have not tried yet. Only EU and RU.
Hi, I had soft brick two times, because i tryied to unlock bootloader a flash twrp 3.0.2. ibtw now succesfully. Yotaflasher helps to make my phone alive with latest UE version. Hope it helps

Nokia 6 Rooting?

Hi!
I need some help rooting my Nokia 6 Mobile phone
The model number is TA- 1033
I have tried all kinds of different sources as a guide, but all failed for me.
I tried several one-click root tools as well. (Kingroot, Kingo Root)
I have tried to unlock the bootloader with Fastboot and ADB for the TWRP recovery flash
I have got developer options and also enabled USB Debugging and OEM unlocking ut the procedure still fail all the time.
I've tied to flash the TWRP without unlocking the bootloader but that ailed as well.
My device is not bricked yet.
Thank you for your help
My attempts to root were successful only on Nougat (Not Oreo, because of bootloader)
Make a backup of all your important files in your phone.
Download OST and with it install this stock rom (https://mega.nz/#!5ccRnb4b!VsgiKQ4CjxFyjbjcxR0esjeKmHZsUTnEz0FA_FMZQbM)
(To install it, you need the phone in bootloader mode.)
If it displays an error the first time, try again until the installation is fully successful.
Once the phone is turned on, the first thing you need to do is turn off automatic software updates. Know that if you want root, you should forget about OTA updates.
Once all written above is done remains to unlock the bootloader and installing TWRP.
For that..
Enter in bootloader mode.
Use Fastboot from your PC and enter this command to allow the partitions to be changed on your phone.
(To get MD5 of your serial number, use this website: http://www.miraclesalad.com/webtools/md5.php)
fastboot oem dm-verity [MD5_of_your_device_serial_number]
(Example: fastboot oem dm-verity 5f47b9a8dc1da1873c12945cf806691e)
After that download this bootloader(http://pc.cd/xUFrtalK) and flash it:
fastboot flash aboot D1C-emmc_appsboot.mbn
(Make sure that downloaded bootloader is located in adb/fastboot folder)[Or you can type full file path of bootloader(Example: "C:\Users\Martin\Downloads\D1C-emmc_appsboot.mbn")]
(This to flash an unlocked bootloader.)
fastboot reboot-bootloader
(This is to reboot for using new unlocked bootloader.)
fastboot oem dm-verity [MD5_of_your_device_serial_number]
(Again to allow installing partitions.)
Download recovery from here: https://mega.nz/#F!K1k0gC5C!xpw3-AQvSQJ5p6VWX19gpA)
Flash it with this command:
fastboot flash recovery nokia-6-ta-1000-8_0-twrp3.2.1-7to-recovery-magisk-root-2018.3.15.img
(Make sure that downloaded recovery is located in adb/fastboot folder)[Or you can type full file path of twrp recovery(Example: "C:\Users\Martin\Downloads\nokia-6-ta-1000-8_0-twrp3.2.1-7to-recovery-magisk-root-2018.3.15.img")]
After that reboot to twrp recovery and flash Magisk ROOT.
All is done.
Magisk is built in recovery. You don't need to download it from internet. Flash magisk which is in recovery.
Warning: After opening magisk manager you can update app but you can't update magisk version (core). Because latest version cause bootloop on ours devices. Use 16.1 version which is in recovery build it.
I hope everything will be fine. Good luck!

Okay
So when I tried to flash the rom you gave me it failed with a download error. I tried to use OST LA 6.0.4 and 6.1.2 but both failed.
Clicking on the "Edit phone information" didn't work either. Can you help me in this situation? I have tried to reinstall OST LA several times, but it didn't resolve the problem.

That means you cannot use OST LA or oem-veracity. Nokia changed the algorithm with August patch. You can basically not root your phone anymore using this method.

Make backup on anything! You will not have access to anything until you install the rom I gave you in the first post.
Go to recovery and flash this ota update.
https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?code=XZYg1T7ZzpJwx2DdRo4wbpTUEXABAfnS9PgX
After all go to recovery again.
If it says that the Android version is 7.1, then everything is ready.
If it does not get the first time, flash ota again.
When I did it, I think I flash two times ota update.
If it's okay, try the Instructions from the first post again.

Mi A1 Bricked After Downgrade from Pie to 8.1

So as the titles says, I tried to downgrade my Mi A1 from 9 to 8.1 'cause I wasn't happy at all with the low band.
I did the normal process to install the stock ROM but the problem is the ROM is installed BUT the system doesn't start. It keeps showing the Mi logo and Android One Screen and then reboots.
The phone shows normally in the PC when I connect it using the TWRP, I can see all the available space and I can access fastboot normally.
I already tried:
- Flashing with Mi Flash
- Flashing via TWRP
Both with no success, so, guys, any help?

Followed the tutorial correctly and the device is on! But there's a new problem:
- The phone restarts always in the configuration screen. Any tip?
So guys, it seems I solved the problem and I'll tell you how:
- First of all, I made some research about the nougat and it seems I was getting trouble because of the persist.img file. I flashed the Nougat following this tutorial: https://www.technobuzz.net/downgrade-mi-a1/
- After the nougat was flashed, I was facing the same issue (phone restarting) and I kept looking for answers when I found this tutorial: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/how-to/guide-fix-device-automatically-t3724240 and then I followed it. The result was a black screen repetitively rebooting, truth is I was about to get in bed and cry, hahaha. So I had the idea of flashing the latest version of Stock Rom from Xiaomi Website.
- I've downloaded the last version of the Stock Rom from here: https://en.miui.com/download-333.html and then I flashed it with Mi Flash and after that my device booted normally.
Hope it helps in some way

OST can flash Nokia phones if the bootloader is already unlocked.
I think you'll have to buy an unlocking key first. (on techmesto for example)
I can actually flash without OST LA, like I said, but normally flashing stock boot.img should have fixed the problem, but it's still stuck on the same screen.
